Verium 1.0.4 is released.  This is a recommended update that optimizes the built in cpu-miner to minimize the number of memory allocations for scrypt² and improves hashrates a bit (credit to Rlmic on vericoinforums.com).  Get it here: http://www.vericoin.info/veriumlaunch.html or Check for update in wallet.

jumped from 870 to 1300 with this (7/8 processors)
870 to 1500 (8/8 processors)  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Wow, Nice! Depending on hardware and especially better in Windows, because it apparently doesn't handle heavy memory allocation very well. This solves that by minimizing the memory allocations necessary.

had similar jump as well  Grin
Mine only jumped from 800 to 1050 but with the standalone miner on the pool I was running 1800 h/m.

..like bright metal on a sullen ground.
So is bittrex price (~75k sats) now lower than round 1 ico price in terms of usd?

Is there any way to run verium-qt headless, without GUI? I tried building from source, but if it is possible, being able to run pre-compiled wallet as headless would be quicker approach.

There are no stupid questions Smiley
I checked the pools wallet and I can confirmed didn't find a block yet.
Seems like the settings are not correct. I will keep my miner there and try to have a look on stratum this evening.
I am useing combination of mpos for front end and unomp proxy.
We have many many shares in the sql database so the shares are getting collected correctly.
If you want to find blocks i suggest you move your miners back to your wallets until i figured out why we didn't find a block.
Maybe it is just very very bad luck.

I've had a Coinium pool running for last 2 days with no luck  Sad
Same issue as you valid shares but no blocks found even tried removing the difficulty check at the pool level but still didn't find any.
Setup a UNOMP pool 1hour ago shares are submitting so will leave it for a bit but guessing ill have the same issue again.

Just been watching the difficulty of my submit's compared to the block difficulty and it looks within range that it could get one.

Only time will tell Smiley

Testnet.... guys.. Use testnet.. it's not so hard and you'll find lots of blocks instantly

I added testnet genesis hash on 1.0.3 so you can just add testnet=1 to conf, don't need to have connections to mine on testnet if you just want to test mining

We are currently trying to figure out why certain hardware gives a lower hashrate on windows compared to linux.  We will be releasing 1.0.4 in next couple days or so which minimizes the number of memory allocations while mining and will improves hashrate a bit for all.  Curious to see how that effects certain hardware on windows and linux.  The hardware I've tested on there is no significant difference in speed between the two.

are there 64 bit for windows coming?

hmm, windows wallet bugged or something? I used the same cpu and tried out Windows and Linux, windows gives me 600-750 odd h/m but linux gave me like 1500-1900 h/m.. Somehow both of them gave the same estimated block hit hours.. Anything wrong here? I thought more hashes would lower down the time needed to farm a block?

and who's the boss?I do not understand!!!!
Who are you asking for?

effectsToCause is the dev for the coin.

testbug is the owner of the pool.

Send them a PM if you need to contact them about something.
I wrote Testbug,he's not answering

Sorry I messaged you the pool url.
After my change on the proxy settings we have done almost 100%
If we don't find a block within the next few hours and you want to definitely find a block please switch your miners back to your solo mining wallets so you don't waste hashing powers.
well, thank you

I have found a mistake on the stratum and i fixed it. Restarting the proxy now, your miners should all reconnect after 30s disconnct time.
Hope it work. I am getting a lot better hashrate on the standalone miner but I can get it to work for solo mining. Guess it doesnt support getwork.
I have been solo mining since the coin launched, using cpuminer and my wallet on linux.  So it works.  It also works with a windows cpuminer client pointing at my wallet on linux so I assume it is just a setup issue.

Feel free to PM me and I can see if I can help figure out why it isn't working for you.
Thanks but the miner only supports stratum so solomining with it would be a bit more difficult. I might try to see if I can set up a stratum proxy when I get home.

I havent tested OCminer so I am not sure how the hashrate compares.

why no one wants to give a url?who can I contact?
Testbug is hosting the pool. PM him.
Its still in testing phase so you may not find anything.
