Got mine too: no fuss, bother or bullshit - promise kept and what happened to TalesfromtheScrypt wasn't even the OPs problem/fault/responsibility at any level.  With all of the BS around altcoins (checkout today's EmiritesCoin launch ... sad but funny as hell especially the giant penguin and the dudes shooting machine guns in the car dealership...) this is pretty huge.

I have received my lost juggalos from the talesfromthescrypt pool. thanks a lot to dev, you are great Smiley I love juggalocoin Smiley

From another thread, regarding Coinopend

I can only confirm this site is a scam. I didn't loose much. But this exchange is listed on many coin thread by their authors. Maybe that s why i trusted it..

It's sad, but it appears that this exchange is indeed a scam, and a lot of coins are unintentionally marketing it on behalf of the scammers by listing it in their threads.

Since launching this coin, I have gained a whole new perspective on the level of scamming that goes on in the alt community.  I am literally approached by a different scammer every single day -- fake exchange reps, fake marketing services, fake exchanges, etc.

And even when the services themselves are 100% legit like Tales from the Scrypt, if those people fall prey to scammers, we can inadvertently lead our folks into traps.

I'm not sure what my point is but this stuff just pisses me off.  So just be careful.  Just because a site looks legit doesn't mean that it is.  Use escrow services when possible.  With something like an exchange, do small test deposits, trades, AND WITHDRAWLS first.  And even then, be careful.  Reputation is an important guide, as it is often all that someone has to lose in this world.  A site like Mintpal, for example, is unlikely intentionally steal 10 BTC from you because you could publicize it and do far more damage than that to their business.  But if a site or an individual doesn't have a reputation to worry about, they have nothing to lose.

Be careful out there, my ninjas.

Hey folks, earlier today I got a PM saying that JUG was trading on an exchange called Coinopend.

I did a little research and found 2 threads from the past couple of days saying that Coinopend is a scam.

ok. Thanks. Any update on JUG marketing plan or news ? Thread seems a bit quiet.

At the moment, I'm dealing with getting refunds back to people who lost coins at Tales from the Scrypt.  About 40,000 coins to deal with.

It's time-consuming and not glamorous or buzz-generating, but Juggalo Coin is about taking care of family.  Seriously, how many other coins out there do shit like that?  Or like buying up dumped coins and giving them away to our community?  Maybe some, but not many.

Also, things happened faster than anticipated.  Fork came sooner with the monster hashing power thrown at us.  Get listed on Poloniex sooner than I expected.

That's all good stuff, but it means that we have a little lull before more big news.

Props for doing it.
