I may have a solution for those people unable to start Qt in Windows 7 or 8. Download and install the Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and if that doesn't work try installing the 2008 Redistributable Package. If none of the previous suggestions work then also try installing the .NET Framework 4 if you don't already have it installed. Let me know if any of these steps help.

Just to share my experience with the wallet:
I installed it in a folder not at %appdata%, even not in C: drive, and for 12h straight its running perfect.
I'm using Win 7 64.
