Suprnova is down on my end... anybody able to connect?

Works for me. what issue you have?

#sekker
No connection ... stratum won't connect or the web page.  But his other pools are working.

please check it out in your *bat file the passwords are correct. that issue is about password. or minner account.

#sekker
I was mining and then stratum disconnected 12 hrs ago.... and his pool page won't load either.  Undecided

Web page says.. "xcn.suprnova.cc took too long to respond."

Thanks for Your hints/explanations: Now for the first time I understand what means "Unmalleable transactions"!
For a real explanation, my last post was not precise enough. If you want an exhaustive explanation, better go to the Bitcoin wiki.

In short: Transaction malleability refers to a flaw in Bitcoin-based cryptocurrencies where an attacker could create the exact same transaction multiple times, but with different transaction hashes. This was used by attackers to fool merchants to accept a duplicate transaction in spite of the "real" one, but it has only consequences if the merchant does not wait until the transaction is confirmed (included in a block).

This was solved in Cryptonite already in 2014 ("unmalleable transactions" refer to TX which are not affected by transaction malleability, of course). Bitcoin only offers truly "unmalleable" transactions since Segwit was approved in late 2017. So XCN was no less than three years ahead Wink

Sorry, you are right! English "Billion" is "Milliarden" in german and not "Millionen": Lost in Translation!  Huh

This coin has perspective, but for now it is nearly dead coin. Community do some work, but since there is only one pool, and on that pool we have MR 10 GH person. That person go to the pool, get all coins it can ( and wait until diff arise) then left pool and again again and again. for small miners (like I am) it is very bad. Price is small, and when that person come to pool, all coins goes to him, so you can mine many hours and got only few coins.

solo mining is always option but you must monitor network hash rate and when that person is on the pool you can stop solo mining since you will not find any block in that time. so you will only spent some electricity for nothing: your hash rate compared to his has hash rate is too low, so you will find no blocks at all.
Pure math, nothing more.
hope new wallet is better then old one

You're absolutely right - with one exception - Golum only does solomining: I have never seen him on Suprnova.
The question is, what is the guy doing with his millions of coins? Is he waiting for higher prices? At some point he has to get his investment back! To reach 10 GH he has to have at least 650 pieces of GTX 1050 Ti running with an electricity consumption of 65KW: I can not see that any of his mined coins are being sold on the exchanges (Look at his accumulation adress at https://explorer.digicent.org/?address=CPKPJP7eiMkuRuzrRztxakwqeDdo21zrYS with a total amount of 23.5 Billions millions of received and zero sent coins): This guy has to be sitting on a huge mountain of losses by now! Apart from that: With this huge number of coins under the control of a single owner, the price of Cryptonite could be manipulated at will! I do not think he's up to something good - otherwise he would at least donate a small portion of his loot for the further development of Cryptonite!

At the moment, his activities are definitely extremely detrimental to small miners and network stability: When he's online, block time is reduced to a few seconds, and he's collecting thousands of coins in a matter of a few hours. If he then retires, the block time goes up to almost an hour and the little miners have to screw down the block time again under the huge use of electricity for days!
I believe that it will not be long before even the little miners are fed up and have no more desire to pay the bill for his greed!

@Pallas: Perhaps it could be a good idea that the difficulty adjusts depending on the situation: If the block time falls below one minute, the difficulty is adjusted depending on the number of mined blocks. If the block time exceeds one minute, the difficulty is regulated as a function of the number of minutes elapsed. This could ensure that ordinary miners no longer have to pay for the consequences of Golum's antisocial behavior. As a side effect, this would also cause Cryptonite's electricity consumption to fall sharply and the block time will settle better at the intended one minute.

@pallas I find djm34 miner has same hashrate as yours on 750ti oc ~6,300 kh/s.  Smiley Running windows 8.1.

EDIT: Your's won't allow the intensity setting.

On a SM30/ Kepler Nvidia Quadro K2000 (= GeForce GTX 650) machine the code from djm34 is a lot slower:

I have experimented with the intensivity settings in djm34's miner: I could not see any effect of lower or higher settings for the M7 algo
Yes it maybe he paid more attention to the older cards. The gtx-640's and the gtx-650's.. ect.  Smiley
The one thing I need though ... is intensity settings ...so I can use my computer while mining. And djm34 miner has that.. and I really didn't notice any difference on my gtx-750 ti's.

Hello guys.

I have a question about CUDA mining - I have free GT750M card, it is possible to work with it?
My command line
Quote
ccminer-m7-branch --algo=m7 --url=stratum+tcp://xcn.suprnova.cc:8008 --user=Username.Worker2 --pass=password
But nothing happens when I run it:

based on original ccMiner by Christian Buchner and Christian H. 2014

And so on, but I've held it 2 days and nothing was mined.

CPU mining is OK, but slow.

Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

The GT750M is based on Kepler architecture, but for my miner Maxwell is required.
You may try djm34 version which should work with older cards (see the OP).

Hi to all, hi Pallas,

after several weeks of experimentation I managed to integrate your code from 24 Dec 2017 (https://github.com/pallas1/ccminer-m7-branch/releases) into the version 0.3.0 of djm34 (https://github.com/djm34/ccminer-msvc2015/releases): Now your faster code can be used with api as well. In addition, the miner runs on older SM30 / Kepler machines (with 50% higher speed).

...

So that the action is not too complicated, I reduced the algorithms to M7, Groestl, and Neoscrypt. I hope that with this release a few more hobby miners will join M7/Cryptonite mining and with that we will be able to harness the power of Golum / Mr. 10 GH, which constantly messes up the difficulty and block time of the coin.

If there are people who are interested in this software version, I could try to publish it on GitHub or perhaps Pallas could publish it in his branch.

Best regards:

Br@indr@in

Thanks very much!
But where is the link to your miner?

The miner is still not published on github so there is no link available: This was my first project on Visual Studio 2015 so that I have no account on github.
I would only bother to open a Github account and publish the miner if the community has an interest in the publication. And as I said, if you want I can possibly make the miner personally available to you (via e-mail or onedrive) and you publish it under your github account.

Perhaps it could be a good idea to put a good german description under the media info on the first  "[ANN]" page I have found here:

https://www.krypto-magazin.de/was-ist-cryptonite-coin/
This article may be unique in that it's a German description in an "independent" magazine, but it contains some pretty severe errors:
- According to the article, Cryptonite was distributed via an ICO, and afaik there was not even a pre-mine
- "Unmalleable transactions" are translated into "transactions being vulnerable to malware" by the article, which afaik is wrong - malware normally operates on the victim's computer, while in malleabillity attacks an attacker creates duplicate transactions with a custom software.

In short, it looks like a really bad translation of Cryptonite's key concepts.

I have started a little German description here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2822792.new#new

Thanks for Your hints/explanations: Now for the first time I understand what means "Unmalleable transactions"!
