why not?  i think it's cool to have to interface with professional organizations.

Because it has never worked well for any other similarly-sized software project.  As a very small project, Counterparty is at a disadvantage in several ways, but at an advantage in terms of agility and its ability to operate under a single clear vision.  Creating a foundation, board, and bylaws takes away those advantages.  A project doesn't create those things because they're cool.  They're created because the project becomes big enough to require them and this project isn't even close to big enough for that.

Robby feels this is necessary because Counterparty has stakeholders and he doesn't want the associated accountability but that doesn't change any of the above.

With all due respect, this sounds like a tail chase.  These types of organizational efforts may sound good conceptually but in practice all they add is bureaucracy.  A small project like this needs one person who cares enough about it to be in charge and invest a lot of time into it.  I don't know whether or not a person like that exists for this project.

Clearly that person is Robby.

Then this project does not need:

a formal Counterparty Foundation, board, and bylaws

if u don't like it u don't need to be involved in it at all.

but let the rest of us do as we please...

i don't understand why people always feel the need to try to impose their beliefs on others...  guess human war will never end.

Is there a ballpark time frame as to when XCP is on Ethereum Main net.

A few months was the timeline given. Ruben is working on it full-time and progress can be seen on Github. Discussions regarding the project are held on slack. counterparty.slack.com I think is the URL. It has been posted earlier in this thread a number of times.

EDIT: And Dom is correct in his post just above this. Counterparty is not putting XCP on Ethereum, they are putting the Ethereum VM on CP so smart contracts can be carried out on the Bitcoin blockchain.

they are not putting xcp on ethereum main net, they are taking the ethereum EVM and modifying it to work with XCP on Bitcoin Mainnet...

God only knows how long that will take.  From what I have read I would not bet for it to be done any time soon

to XCP devs-

Why isn't counterparty listed on Microsoft Azure?

because no one has taken the time to make an azure template or whatever is required to create an image, and no one has spoken to microsoft.

that is sales engineer and bizdev work and they likely do not have time for that with such a small crew.

This is very annoying problem... if i want to send all my btc from counterwallet and i'm choosing address and clicking "MAX", then send, i'm always getting message like this:
Code:
Sorry, we got an error when trying to do the requested action: 'JSON-RPC Error:
Type: Server error

Code: -32000

Message: {"message": "Error composing send transaction via API: Insufficient BTC at address 176ZXsA526eRZuxMMCC4wEpZdJjadjvbdR. (Need approximately 0.6202586 BTC.) To spend unconfirmed coins, use the flag `--unconfirmed`. (Unconfirmed coins cannot be spent from multi\u2010sig addresses.)", "code": -32001}

' (API method: create_send).

If this persists, please click on the question mark button on the top right-hand corner of the screen for support options.

I should manually choose the amount that will be sended (the method of selection).

OK, what if i want to connect with support? Let's try it: question mark from right corner -> send ticket to support (link https://wallet.counterwallet.io/%22#\") -> page 404.

That error still exists? I think two weeks ago I had this too when I wanted to withdraw bitcoins. I then took them out by importing my privkey into a bitcoin wallet and sent the bitcoins from there without touching the minimum amount that is needed by xcp to hold shares.
