Successfully set up counterpartyd.conf and bitcoin.conf in the %USER%\Appdata\Roaming\... Folders?

Seems to me that your counterpartyd cannot connect to bitcoind via RPC...

Thanks.

bitcoin.conf
Code:
rpuser=rpc
rpcpassword=rpcpw1234
server=1
daemon=1
txindex=1

counterpartyd.conf
Code:
[Default]
bitcoind-rpc-connect=localhost
bitcoind-rpc-port=8332
bitcoind-rpc-user=rpc
bitcoind-rpc-password=rpcpw1234
rpc-host=localhost
rpc-user=rpcuser

Poloniex is great but :

An XCP transfer costs 0.0002172 BTC at the moment (I don't know in the future if this will change) Even at a rate of 0.01BTC/XCP (to balance the risk of holding XCP) transfers should cost around 0.02 XCP to be fair.

I don't know about the reason why it's so high but this issue should be addressed (don't let another exchange steal your market share, you have the first mover advantage...)

Could anyone please give me some hints for the following error?
Thanks.

When I think I missed the burn period by 2 hours (didn't discover the XCP before), and I paid 2 BTC for 300XCP. It's still a great deal, but if I had 2000 right now man.. ^^

Reality is stranger than fiction
Hi all,

I just installed the counterparty deamon for windows x64, using the installer. However, when I try to run it using

 "C:\Program Files\counterpartyd\counterpartyd.exe" --log-file=-

an error: "Too few arguments" occurs.

Any insights?

Hmmmm I cant get this running.

I cloned counterpartyd_build, then installed the python file, then reindexed bitcoin qt. Seems to start with server command and is catching up blocks.

However sending doesnt work:

Code:
counterpartyd send --source=address1 --destination=address2 --quantity=100 --asset=XCP

It says:
Code:
Transaction (unsigned):
"HUGE NUMBER!"
Confirm? (y/N) y
Transaction aborted.

So why is transaction aborted? I have sufficient XCP on address1 and sufficient BTC to pay the fee. Also I have set up bitcoin.conf and counterpartyd.conf correctly...

Some Ideas whats wrong here?

Any hints on that plz? Developers?
No matter what I enter, always says

Code:
Transaction aborted.

It seems that my selection of poloniex to pester to list XCP and getting XCP right next to mastercoin on coinmarketcap all happened. It sure didnt seem like it was easy to add XCP, and my guess is that most other exchanges wouldnt have stuck it out through all the issues, nor would they have been able to get it working as fast. Tristan is the best!!

Now we steal mastercoin's thunder before they are able to get any real world release out. The cat is out of the bag and now everybody that didnt know about counterparty will immediately compare working software with almost software.

I usually dont beg for tips, but I think I deserve one in this case. Feel free to express your euphoria!

I think Poloniex should add Mastercoin to their exchange, it is after all similar to XCP and should enable Mastercoin users to sell their overpriced coin and buy the undervalued and functional XCP instead. Some of them I am sure would jump at the opportunity. Unlike regular investors, they are already converted to the metacoins and DEX based on the promises of Mastercoin for many months past. It's also great business for Poloniex. Everybody wins.

Is there any easy to understand documentation on how to create an asset? I would like to offer some shares in a mining operation
distributed in a decentralized exchange. I think it'll be a world first

It is a work in progress, but please see the wiki: https://counterparty.co/wiki/assets

A more readable version of the wiki is forthcoming. In the meantime, please PM me if you have any questions.

Will the 5 XCP to create an asset be ajusted downward if the price keep rising?

It's currently a deterrent against spammer and trolls, and if the price is going north I am sure it will have to be revised because we can't risk it being too expensive to create an asset.

Have you already setup counterpartyd first?
http://counterpartyd-build.readthedocs.org/en/latest/

Once you have done that and have some XCP then you need to execute an issuance on the command line
https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php/topic,62.0.html

I think it costs 5 XCP to create your asset and you need some dust in your bitcoin address to make the transaction.
