What's the point of sweeping it out of the individual deposit account though? I don't really get that.
Not sure exactly. It just seems to be standard way of dealing with deposits to customized addresses. Get the deposit, then sweep it into the main acct. Probably the code expects this and it didnt make sense to change the control flow of handling the funds just to optimize some dust.

I see the .0004 BTC, that makes sense, what are the rest of the transactions doing though?
I think one is the escrow process I have been hearing about, looks pretty scary ugly but I guess thats what it takes to make it work

The .0005 was me trying to get it to work. I was just impatient, need to wait for 6 confirms before poloniex sweeps it out of the individual deposit acct to the main exchange acct. The 43 minute block in there didnt help.

Anyway, if you get the 5 XCP back, it means poloniex passed the loopback test!

Aren't you going to be paying a lot in dust fees consolidating all the XCP balances on the exchange?
It looks like poloniex automatically added .0004+ BTC when the deposit came in. I think that is why there is a 1 XCP withdrawal fee, to cover all the dust, but no charge for deposit. So, many deposits 1 withdrawal should consolidate with 1 XCP fee. Of course, if you are able to send, you can consolidate directly, so no real point for this. I must be getting tired.

Is there anyone trustworthy enough to take all my private keys (15) and consolidate for me for a fee ?
Once poloniex is up and running, if you can deposit into your deposit address, it would consolidate when you withdrew. I guess the problem is not being able to send. I am in same boat since I am on a Mac. Though I saw the GUI earlier today that said it worked on a Mac, maybe I will try that.

Actually, did you try the GUI?

Is there a Windows GUI ? And how do I know I'm good on the reindex ?
Does the counterparty GUI (if there is one) also make sure that the counterparty conf file is set ?

@porcupine PM me your BTC address so we can test withdraw

Edit: OK, I know I am too tired! I will just send the XCP back to the address it came from. I was staring at it on blockchain.info. duh!

OK, I'm confused.
Porcupine sent 6 XCP and then I sent .0005 BTC to:

https://blockchain.info/address/1JMRuhVNGdhCnhm6LLPhjGuA6GVKc28SBg

There's two other transactions between our pair of sends. Probably poloniex software trying to sweep it to the main acct?

However, it still seems stuck. Maybe it needs to wait for 6 blocks?

Edit: !!!!! I see it as a pending deposit !!!!! I guess I just had to wait for 6 confirmations on the original 6 XCP deposit

Okay, I think everything is working now. If anyone feels like depositing some XCP early, and maybe withdrawing it, before I open the market, it would help me be sure that all the automation is working. Even if it isn't, your coins will be safe, and your BTC balance never gets touched. You'll find your deposit address here (account needed, of course): poloniex.com/balances

Minimum for withdrawal is 5 XCP, and there is a 1 XCP withdrawal fee to cover all the dust costs.
If somebody can send me 5 or 6 XCP to 1JMRuhVNGdhCnhm6LLPhjGuA6GVKc28SBg
that will go to my poloniex acct. I can verify that it works and then withdraw it back to your BTC address (make sure to PM me your BTC address)
We can then verify deposit and withdraw work, at least in a controlled case. I would do this, but I didnt even want to try installing it on a Mac

James

P.S. please post here if you do this, I will post the result

OK, I see it in blockscan. Had to wait for 42 minute block.
PM me your BTC address so I can withdraw to it
I dont see it on poloniex balance yet, but I think I just need to wait a block or two

Its been 4+ blocks now and it is still sitting in the deposit acct. I will try sending some BTC dust to it

ya know.. come to think of it. A 1 XCP Tx fee is pretty dam expensive. $5.00 to withdraw ? I guess thats no matter how much you withdraw ? When XCP is up in the Mastercoin arena as far as pricing goes.. that's going to be hefty! lol.  Tongue
