The reddit page registered by the Counterparty Team is reddit.com/r/counterparty_xcp

Important clarification:reddit.com/r/counterparty was not registered by the Counterparty team; it was registered by prophetx, who is the communications lead for Mastercoin; reddit.com/r/xcp was also not reigstered by the Counterparty team, and both of its moderators appear to be associated with Mastercoin, as well.

I have this one registered and can turn it over:
http://www.reddit.com/r/XCPCounterparty/

Thanks very much, SyRenity, I've PMed you.

The concern re: /r/xcp and /r/counterparty is not that their moderators may be Mastercoin investors, but that their statuses within Mastercoin (ProphetX as an employee and r00tdem0n and mavensbot as /r/mastercoin moderators) suggests very strongly that their position as moderators on Counterparty subreddits poses a serious conflict of interest, especially since, as far as I know, r00tdem0n and mavensbot have not been active participants on this bitcointalk thread.

Hello kind Sirs,
Is there any way to monitor the evolution of the price of XCP, and the trades done without installing everything?
Sorry for my newbie question, and have a nice day!
http://www.blockscan.com/order.aspx?p=1 is a bit messy but you can see the bids and asks and partially completed trades to get a feel for where the market is

THanks, I gave it a look already, but yeah it's a bit messy. Still a great creation overall nonetheless, mad props!

There is a latest price snapshot for the DEX exchange available on the main page. Once there is sufficient data, I will look into a price historical chart. However, given that we have more than 100 assets listed I will only work on the BTC/XCP charts on the dex

I am slowly making my way through the order page to clean it up a bit. I've already added some filters. If you have any suggestions please feel free to post it here..

Hi

Running into the previous issue where the expired order XCP balances are not getting credited back again to the address (on the develop branch).

I remember to have read somewhere (must have been somewhere within this topic because I cant find it in the OP) that people are responsible themselves to do x (don't remember what that term was; maybe "activate", "import"?)  with their XCP when y (some kind of launch?) is announced.

You see that I dont have much of a clue anymore what I read there Smiley Just dont wanna miss anything.
Bottomline question: Can I just hold my XCP (burned with blockchain.info wallet) for ever/month and do nothing without having to worry about anything?
don't worry, be happy
that works
no problem to wait for GUI that I can see

Would be nice to have a chart with volume !
If someone can create a program with transaction prices from counterpartyd, I could display it on a webpage.

It wouldnt be anything fancy, but we would be able to see the price on a chart. Something like on this page: http://www.ripplequotes.com/charts/

I just need the code that parses the transaction list into a nice easy format for me.

Where can I buy some XCP other than the decentralised exchange?

I am working in MS Windows. When I run the "send" command:

C:\Python32\python.exe run.py send --from=1xx --quantity=xx --asset=XCP --to=1xx

I keep getting the following error:  'Private key for address xxxxxyyyyzzzz is not known', 'Code -4'

This is weird because when I run the "wallet" command:  C:\Python32\python.exe run.py wallet     I see both the origination and destination wallets reported, so the wallet addresses involved in the "send" are definitely being recognized as valid wallet addresses by the Counterparty client.

This issue may potentially be tied to another problem I am having with importing private keys, although I am not 100% certain.  The issue is that only 3 of 5 of the private keys in my blockchain.info account seem to be recognized in my Bitcoin-Qt client despite trying to import the remaining 2 private keys several times.  I worry that my database associated with Bitcoin-Qt has somehow become corrupted, but I don't know.

Does anyone have an idea on what to do?

Perhaps this is a similar issue to Post #2261 by MitBit.

My
Code:
Bitcoind -reindex
is still running after 24 hours...
Is this normal Huh  Huh Shocked Shocked
Mine took as long. Final weeks are the slowest. It's only a one time thing so bear with it.

My advise will also be to backup the blockchain in a compressed file so if you have a problem in future you can at least get back to this point.
This is why I advocate checkpoint files as per prior discussion. It is possible to do with decentralized trust built in

Hi, can someone check this transaction?

Placed a test order to sell 200 XCP for 1.23 BTC: http://blockscan.com/tx.aspx?q=3247
1AQPf7f3y37NN9XsYkfGGALHQiW1ig3MXbfilled 17.886 XCP of the order paying 0.11 BTC but is awaiting payment: http://blockscan.com/order_match.aspx?q=3247
Meanwhile there is a BTCpay of 0.11 BTC going to 1JBp8tdzwzo5VKcKpg1QHKbYP2sKDNWGnk, but 1AQPf7f3y37NN9XsYkfGGALHQiW1ig3MXbfilled  has not been updated with an order match or a proper XCP balance. http://blockscan.com/address.aspx?q=1AQPf7f3y37NN9XsYkfGGALHQiW1ig3MXb

Something similar also happened here where an Order Match failed to go through, no BTCpay in this case though.
http://blockscan.com/order_match.aspx?q=3086

So far none of my sell side XCP orders have gone through successfully (for one reason or another). Selling to buy side XCP orders works fine though.

Also note that the last 3 btcpays have invalid order match IDs: http://blockscan.com/btcpay.aspx#

Issue:
XCP not returned from escrow after cancellation of Order

http://blockscan.com/address.aspx?q=17PgVzRSSSjc2aN8Lyp1x9QayKzPzY2pKj

a) I placed a sell order for 250 XCP order
b) the order was matched by the engine, but the buyer did not make any payment yet.
c) I cancelled the order
d) I did not receive back the XCP from escrow

The Balance should be: 1432-400-200-200=632
Instead it is 382 XCP and 250 from Escrow is missing.

I know there was similar issue not sure what the resolution for that was. (I am on the latest build).

Are you saying that you cancelled the order before it was due to expire? Might have to wait until the order expires to see them XCP back.

I created a buying 3 BTC for 200 XCP order, and checked the transaction.

https://blockchain.info/tx/5222ce10128b9040c0d67ae2d7422d7f359307312504efb99c6618c1d69abc91

There are two Escrows: 18DuqefxEr... and 19htBgLiSs... , click them to expand them:
https://blockchain.info/address/18DuqefxErdAtXLfamxbiZSSFp5gxCydaa
https://blockchain.info/address/19htBgLiSsj5UB8oKpNJCSMY3ZxDFEZrao
Both of them have 0 BTC balance, but 0.0001086 BTC has been deducted from the selling address 1BuMkY3wGb2f6axSt528uBfUT54EduDqjZ.

My question is where did the two amount of 0.0001086 BTC go? Did they go to the counterparty protocol escrow themselves? But why can't I look up balance in blockchain?

Why does it need two kind of exact 0.0001086 BTC but not other amount?
