possible bcz ray kurzweil says that "singularity is near"
may be u can put a "button" in elastic core .. that button can explode computers all over the world. this is very important for security.
The Rise of Sentinel
anyway, i understood that; you are a good man and a perfect coder..
What do u think about elastic project? Will elastic work perfectly on mainnet? Ppl will use elastic? Ppl will like elastic? Whats elastic's positive and negative things? Can be improved more?
Can you approach it critically? Can you make a general assessment?
Thanks
Ok, I'll try a more critical approach. But I have to preface this by pointing out, that I am obviously a fan of this project.
What we are aiming at here when we talk about "mainnet release" is not the be-all, end-all of Elastic. The Elastic Project will be far from finished. All we would have then, would be a box of Legos: you can build cool stuff with legos, once you get the hang of it, but if you don't, it's just a box full of multicoloured plastic. What you would need if you are not a "lego expert", is instructions, stuff that says "you want to build an airplane? Ok, this is what you do:…". And just as with legos, those plans will become more elaborate over time, not only the ones you are able to build, but plans in general. In the beginning, building instructions were merely
"build a square box and you got yourself a house", now you can build
Lamborghinis with moving parts.
What I am trying to say is, that at the beginning, the Elastic Project can't be more than a playground (or, if you will, workground) for nerds, for people, who are able and willing to learn ElasticPL and see what they can come up with, not necessarily to solve any real world problems yet, but to figure out how to actually use it, how to put the parts together (
and how not to, as well).
The ideal future scenario would be, that in the beginning, people pop up and write code for trivial problems, like playing tic-tac-toe, solving simple math problems, like finding Pis first ten decimals, maybe (and I really hope, this is going to happen), someone will try to bruteforce "hello world".
With time, the code would become more elaborate. Also, libraries would form, that get filled with code, that was tested, so that other job authors wouldn't have to go all the way again, but could build their code by copy and pasting what is there already.
This would be the time, where the Elastic Project would prosper, where average (scientific guy) Joe/Jane could use Elastic to solve their problems, without needing a masters degree in IT and
do amazing stuff with it.The way I see it, the time just after mainnet launch will be the trickiest. A lot of people will ask "Ok, what now?" and it will look like not much is happening. As with pretty much every other coin, some people will leave the project loudly, swearing about how they feel tricked. The price will decline. There is hardly any way around this. It would be awesome to have a plan about how to help the Elastic Project survive this critical time.
If you know Asimovs Foundation trilogy, you know what we need right now
… Well, I guess, it didn't turn out so critical after all.
Thoughts on that matter?
