Just to point out in the original post, "xiv.cipherpool.com 620 confirmations needed PPLNS by JohnDorien" this is also a 1% pool fee. As the others are listed as 1% and this isn't it looks like it is a 0%, which it isn't.

Currently there is no 0% pool. 1% is ok for now though until the coin becomes more popular. I have been using this particular pool since day 1 and have had no problems.

The official forum is now set up.

Feel free to sign up here to the official forums here - http://www.xivra.com/forums.

I look forward to keeping the site running smoothly and improving it over time with your help and suggestions.

I only have a small graphics card and can not mine very efficiently, so if you like the look and feel of the forums, and feel it will strengthen your coins and the future of Xivra, then please feel free to donate a small amount of Xivra to my Xiv account. It can sometimes depend upon the mail provider that you're using. QQ likes to block certain hosts. Try contacting their support team to find out exactly whats going wrong. We were having similar problems with sending password recovery emails to users on coinex.pw for a while. Turns out is was an issue with QQ not liking Mailgun.

http://xiv.cipherpool.com is a scam.

I mined there for awhile and left the coins there for the last week or so, now my account doesn't exist.

Avoid this pool if you value your coins.

Same here, won't let me log on.

If I type the wrong password it tells me that login info was invalid but when I type the right one it doesn't let me log on.

Nothing happens basically. Owner is a scammer.

Same problem here, can't log in. Been about a week since I tried, wanted to check if I had any coin laying around.

Had problems with the Chinese pool as well-- tried it for shits and giggles last week-- they owe me about 400XIV.

Livechains has been great so far. They just need more hashpower.

It was just a problem with login. No accounts or balances lost.

You can already login as usual again.

it says: "Unable to login: Account is locked. Please contact site support." ATM.

are you an admin? could you help?

I'm one of the admins on the livechains pool. YES... WE NEED MORE HASHING POWER! Although, there is one upside to being a smaller pool. Miners receive a bigger cut from each block reward. And being PROP, not PPLNS helps too.

As a side-note... For the next 10 miners to sign up at http://xiv.livechains.net I will give 0% pool fees as a special thanks for adding their hashrate to the pool.

EDIT: Confirmations needed for payout has now been reduced to 300 for quicker payouts

Updated, although most people who mine are now on pool.xivra.com , it is in the best interest of Xivra that no pool has more then 30-35 % of the hashing power so I am certainly not offended if people would choose a different pool then pool.xivra.com .

I also realize that it looks silent regarding Xivra but it is certainly not.

Many things are being developed and worked on ; multiple exchanges , gaming portal, comparison site, an extensive chain explorer, webhost where you can pay with xivra only, etc etc

Also we have put our Xivra here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/coin-payments-coin-vote-397540 which makes it easier for any merchant to accept Xivra.

I would say, it is ok to give away coins but just give away coins is not adding value. Lets try this. You've a working pool running, correct?

First suggestion:

1. If you mine for 4 hours then you will receive 5% more then what you have mined in those 4 hours. This result in more activity on the pool, yes, difficulty will increase, but a few more people will know your coin, because just give away coins is a little stupid. As you will say, the first 100 people will receive 1000 coins or something like that.

2. Make it a big giveaway, don't do the standard giveaways but do somekind of lottery, people will post their address and you will select random a person that wins a big amount of coins, not just a few hunderds or so, really something that is close to .50BTC. Again, you link this with the first option, THEY NEED to mine on your pool.

Basically that are my suggestion.
