Hi Friends,

Why is it always calm in this thread? There are no talks of development of this coin. I trust in the potential of this coin and mining it from quite long time. I did not sell any even at the price of 1200-1500 sats because I believe this coin can be much bigger in future. But I am afraid that we are not moving ahead.  I keep thinking that big things are coming for this coin in future. I know few people like foodies, Neuromode , the Dev and others are working hard in the back ground. But some updates at least weekly would be nice IMHO. I am not worried about the price right now but I am worried about is the development.

Any updates would be appreciated. Thanks.

Join us in the IRC on freenode sometime, we're almost always talking.  ##myriadcoin is the channel

We have coming up:

1) Android Wallet
2) Electrum Lite Wallet for PC
3) #MAMMMP ( Smiley )
4) Huge website upgrade
5) Always impending news on the Liberdade front (this is added bonus!)

Once we have website+mobile wallet we can do a lot more e-commerce integration.

Remember, today is Myriadcoin's 2 month birthday. We are going incredible places.

Naturally, when the price is low people don't talk as much.

#MAMMMP will fix this. And from there we will attract many more investors and miners who will have their eyes on Myriadcoin.

The calm before the storm.

I mine fine at myr.nonce...but the p2pool in the op gives me HW.
I downloaded the latest build from the op.
HW? Not just rejects?

#MAMMMP is coming.

Myriad's "killer app".

Stay tuned.

what would be the best algo to use for just CPU mining? ( sorry if the question already came up, i tried searching for it )

thanks!

Qubit or Groestl - depends on diff.
As I've read in other forum thread, Groestl for the moment has the smallest difference in GPU/CPU mining speed. If not optimized cudaminer, of course Wink

But does it work with gpus?

I tried the p2pool in the op (it's the same one, right?) and all I got was HW when mining qubit.
Did you get the same issue with the auto-switcher binaries? Because some pools work with sgminer, and some pools work with a patched version of sgminer. The one I posted in my .zip works with the p2pool, the patched versions work with the cpu pool. This is why I use the p2pool as the default pool for qubit in the auto-switcher.

I'm using the gpu-q2c miner in the OP of this thread.
Where did you get your miner from? I erased it lol

@fattypig: It's cheap indeed...
it's the same one, sph-sgminer

sph-sgminer works with the p2pool, but the patched version works with the cpu-pool.net/myr pool
if you're using the patched version you can use the cpu-pool.net/myr
if you're using the original you can do the p2pool version

if you're getting HW errors you're probably doing it wrong like intensity or thread-concurrency are wrong or you're not setting GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT to the right value

i dont believe it does. i had to patch the groestl one to make it stop giving HW errors

Qubit p2p pool needs more hash power

http://p2poolcoin.com:5567/static/
I was just going to post the same message, thanks for support. I don't understand why so few people use p2pool.
Anyway, i put some of my rigs back to help the node.

70% of the qubit hash is on the myr.nonce-pool.com, that's not nice to have all this power centralized.

Don't forget everyone can make a p2pool node for qubit with this source code:
https://github.com/linked67/p2pool-myrq

Excellent point to make again. Pool owners won't like it but it's the truth.
Pool owers can build a p2pool node too  Wink

Since i have switch back most of my rigs to qubit p2pool, we have a better "Expected time to block". It was near 10h and it's around 3h now.
With 50 or 100Mh/s more (10 or 20 r9280x), we should be around 1h to find a block.
The node has around 300 MH/s now and find many blocks per hour, people have no more excuse to not join  Cheesy

Bounty is going up very shortly for an Electrum-based wallet for Myriad. Guys in the IRC are working on it right now actually. I'll be donating 10K. Get your purses ready if you want to contribute to Myriad progress Smiley

Amazing!

I'm mining qubit...runs super cool in my rig. (although skein pays more)
Holding for now, don't have much myr yet.
