All links from previous mac client compiled before were all broken. You need to compile it on your own using the source.

In other news, testing is going very well, and new features are even better than I expected! New wallet SHOULD be ready by 10/1
More news to come.

YACCcoin is NOW listed in LTC/Doge Espers ARI CryptoJacks markets on NovaExchange.com
YACcoin > DUt2k5aetU6343yhtzDaLszbv4yz1a14AB

FAIL

Both coins have been around a long time. It just so happens Yacc was added to a major exchange long before Yac. That doesn't make it a scam. The implication that they intentionally stole the name/ticker symbol to scam people is ridiculous and does nothing to further your cause. If you think there is market confusion pressure Yacc to change their name or you should change yours. This is simply a simple name dispute between private parties. Putting it on Poloniex is just passing the buck. It's not their job to play judge and jury.

OK, you seem a rational person, so let's try this...

Yacoin, released in May of 2013 is the:

THIRD Proof of Stake coin released.

FIRST to introduce Scrypt-N, NFactor, scrypt-jane, etc.

FIRST to implement sha3

Has been on major exchanges since May of 2013.

Yacoin initial announcement https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annyac-yacoin-yet-another-altcoin-start-is-now-196196 : 177 Pages : Read 301977 times

Yacoin ongoing development https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annyac-yacoin-ongoing-development-206577 : 165 Pages : Read 291358 times

-----

Now on to YaCCoin...

Released January, 2014

Openly created using http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=scrypt_altcoin_cloning_guide (https://github.com/yaccoin/yaccoin/commit/c874a622616488ad599b4f577b0b1646e5b33168)

Introduced nothing new to the crypto community, outside of a great name attack on an older established coin.

YaCCoin initial announcement https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yaccoin-up-running-and-stable-482232 : 1 Page : Read 2189 times

Do a search... any search engine, for YaCCoin... do you get a "did you mean" suggestion, and/or do you see many relevant pages for YaCCoin, or Yacoin?

Now...  With the facts stated above, do you think it's safe to assume that Poloniex ACCIDENTALLY listed the wrong coin, or was the intent to actually list Yacoin ?

I can make a long, detailed list of things that have gone wrong and/or can be improved upon.

So why not make the list so that new strategies can be devised to fix them?

Lots of good news coming up. People are working hard in the background.

When will be new versoin of wallet?

Hopefully in the next few months.

So....  I'm beginning to lose faith.  We have been promised a new wallet for over a year (it honestly might be two).  While I have my cpu farm running strong and we all keep waiting and praying for the developers to give us an update; there are several people who are just pumpin and dumpin our coin.  I haven't remained loyal all of this time just because I'm stubborn and don't want to accept a loss.  It happens.  I get it.  But people - do you understand the protocol of this?  It is exceptional.  It is something worth holding on to and continuing to mine.

However.... YAC came out in 2013.  And unfortunately we have seen little development of success.  One of the biggest problems are people are trying to work independently.  Tbh, there are probably even more miners than I realize, but...  when we don't have promised updates, and the websites are down, and the forums can't be accessed, and the blockchains aren't viable, and we can't even get on an exchange....  To someone new?  They aren't even going to learn the fundamentals of the coin.  btw?  Hows that white paper going for the public in 2014 and it will be posted soon.  Guys, are you listening.  Yac, has a very strong, fundamental idea and way of countering ASICs and providing an even distribution.  The things most people hate about bitcoin.  I don't understand why this is still under the radar.

PS - I syned my wallet today.  From my mining, I have a total of about 3700 yac.  I'm not some big time investor who is trying to get paid like a lot of people on these forums.  this is one of the few protocols I've seen that is truely unique - and yet, we just accept that it didn't catch on.  guys, I'll say it again.  This is our coin.  Our project.  What are we doing about it?

Edit:  lets not forget less than 100 posts this year.... and I forum I still can't access even after I've emailed the webkeeper.  And the faucet?  Number 1, 2 or 3?  ha, haha, hahaha - I don't want to even think about it.  We look so stupid right now.

Your frustration is certainly warranted. The people that ran the forum and faucet seem to no longer be around. As far as the website, this is still there... just waiting for a pull request! https://github.com/yacoin/yacoin.org This is a volunteer only, open source project. if you don't like that the faucet no longer works... fix it! Or find or pay someone that can. As you somewhat mentioned, the general crypto-coin game is almost 100% based on pump and dump for Bitcoin. No-one, for the most part, cares about anything else. But, as you mentioned WE DO.

As for the wallet, I am now spending at least 40 hours a week getting things to where they need to be along with help from ol-c-coder and senj. Lots of progress has been made so far, but things still need to be finished and tested before we release the 0.4.5 upgrade.

I noticed a message on BTER:

https://bter.com/trade/yac_btc

Investor risk notice: This is a low liquidity market with a high risk of being delisted.

I'd actually say that would be good news to be delisted from that piece of *#% exchange.

Are you on win? I am running pimp 1.7.0 AMD-13.12 with 16gb system ram, and installed yacminer manualy. just couldn't persuade it to run on win ... driver crashing, errors, freezing, rebooting,....

I'm at a loss... I'm running ubuntu 12.10, AMD-13.12 drivers. I had 4gb of system ram, but I just made it 8gb, and it didn't help.

Have you adjusted any of the expiry, scan-time, or queue settings?

can yac still be mined with r7 240 4gb... config?

yacminer --scrypt-chacha --worksize 256 -g 1 --lookup-gap 22 --buffer-size 3776 -R 1280 --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-memclock 950 -o stratum+tcp://yacoin.club:3433 -u user -p x

That's what I have. The stale rate is extremely high though--more than half of the shares are 'stale'. I assume it is because the difficulty is still adjusting, and PoS minted blocks are higher than normal?

thanks. testing my own setting now and looking good. no stale/rejested at aroud 30h/s per card... it takes few min to get a share with 6 cards Smiley even found two blocks. what is your hashrate?

You are welcome. Lookup-gap of 21 gave HW errors, so lookup-gap of 22 is definitely the winner.

I am also getting 30hash/s per card. My question is still: why am I getting stale shares??? Did you adjust with the "--queue" setting? Are you mining on yac.yacoin.club or are you solo mining?

I can make a long, detailed list of things that have gone wrong and/or can be improved upon. Let me just point out two very big positives:

1) Development is ongoing. Ron, old c coder, has done A LOT, and a new wallet is currently in the testing phase. senjd is also doing amazing things in terms of development. I'm sure Joe_Bauers will be making a lot of moves for YACoin, as will I, once we get an updated wallet released.

2) The potential in terms of value is INFINITE. I really think everyone watching YACoin at this point should treat it like a new coin in development that has yet to be released.

With that said, I am extremely frustrated with YoBit.net. I can't withdraw any YACoins since the wallet status still says "maintenance." I have sent multiple support tickets. There is no reason for the wallet to have ever gone into "maintenance." It prevents me from buying YAC at these low prices since I am unable to withdraw.

Hello,

In case you didn't know, we have been working on YAC, or at least I have! See https://github.com/ya1-old-c-coder/yacoin/commit/714248203523c7c8ac1c3cef19702c9aba38ba52 from 12/13/2014.  And have you seen my videos,
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFnWb0ttBBMLyUuniLp3PJ5Mn4tVUlliZ
and this one from 6/1/2014 on YAC
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8GvHpjbAnM

If you have Windows, there are various interesting test versions.  I can't speak to the non-Windows versions, linux, unix, mac os, etc. since I don't have or use them.  It's just to seductive to debug in a full screen real time IDE that is/was free from MS.  I don't see how one can be productive developing code without a great GUI debugger?

Nfactor=18,
N=524288,
Memory=64MB,
Hashrate for 2x Xeon E5450=14.80

How is ASIC mining going for everyone? Wink

Hashrate for an I7-3770S is 44 hash/s
