Alcurex is fine, indeed a large exchange is better but YAC don't have great volume in last year, and now with Bter issue is almost no exchange for YAC. (initially MRC was scrypt jane)

Surely a working exchange with low exchange is better than one folks don't trust? I am reluctant to send coins to BTER at the moment due to perceived issues etc...

Alcurex has extremely low volume and trades scamcoins. YACoin must be present on a normal exchange, BTC-E for example.

Hi Qxw,

Nice of you to look into the alternative exchange. Am I right in thinking that at best you need 0.1BTC, going up to 0.3BTC for coin listing and promotion?

If that is all that it cost, surely a community such as this can get together and contribute enough to get it listed...30 people, 0.01BTC each, doesn't seem too much to ask to get much needed publicity, beside the advantage of another exchange...

Cheers,

I too have had issues with bter and would perfer to stay away from it.  It would be really nice if YAC was on shapeshift or another reliable exchange.

This is one possible exchange.  How to get volume if they open YAC
https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/newcoin

It is small but, I have looked some bacround things and it looks reliable. (also there is public known real identified peoples behind this service)

But they want some small invest for list coin. (100 - 300 mBTC)

I have tested this exchange shortly using small amount MRC and BTC deposits and withdraw and exchange and all works perfect in my test. Company is registered in Finland. (I do not have any relationship with this company. Just only searching alternatives for Bter)

Please, help.
PoS works in wallet 0.4.4 or know???
And how many coins and days needs to PoS?

I've been using v 0.4.4 for quite a while, and POS has been working fine.  Transactions must be at least 30 days old before staking.

I'd recommend staying away from Bter until they address this problem.  I'll share any updates I have.
More and more it start look like fraud.

Lets hope we get some other exchange as soon as possible.

I also have a YAC deposit to Bter from 29 Feb which has not appeared in my balance.  I opened a ticket and received no response for 2 days.

Deposits had been working fine for months before.

I'd recommend staying away from Bter until they address this problem.  I'll share any updates I have.

Yes it works months when YAC was low. Now when value is much higher deposit do not work.

It looks more like designed hoax than random mistake.

If look what happend in exchange value after they shut off deposits...

After two tickets nothing but automatic answer...

Also we know that Bter own YAC wallets are full of YAC's.

Example when I have sold YAC from my account balance it is strange to see my deposit address balance did not change. This have been situation long time.

Everyone may have his own theory or not only theory what they are doing in Bter...

More and more it start look like fraud.

Also it is extremely bad service because they do not show any warning message that example deposit is in fail state. Peoles can just happy transfer and never get account balance. (yes YAC deposit tranfer to YAC deposit address works just perfect. It can watch in blockchain explorer.  But they are in deposit address what is not at all same as your balance in Bter account!  )

Lets hope we get some other exchange as soon as possible.

Is anyone able to withdraw YAC from BTER?

Withdraw.
Tested 2 week ago: No.
Made ticket about problem 2 weeks ago. Nothing repaired,  withdraw amount refunded to balance.

3 days ago. Deposit fails.  Transfer can see in account deposit address using block explorer. There all ok. But inside Bter system it is not in account balance. Yesterday made one very small deposit just for test and same result. Deposit can see in account deposit address but not in account balance.

Ticket, including all data. After then they ask where they can find block explorer - omg  Huh. Who they are?  Exchange who do not know even coin blockchain explorer and how with it can proof coins are transferred.
Waiting what they ask next.

Are there something changed in Bter? Previously they answer and repair problems more fast and without any stupid questions.

YAC do not have now any reliable exchange after Cryptsy full hoax and robbery.
Bter works like random. What next.

But on the other hand YACoin is not updating (wallet, sites, markets, etc.).

We are actually. Major updates will be coming once all devs are happy with testing results. If anyone wants to make changes to the website, send a request to https://github.com/yacoin/yacoin.org

As for twitter... yes I'm pretty bored with it, but will update when there is some news!

As for bitcointalk... yes I'm also pretty bored with it, but will update when there is some news! Wink

Hello there,
I made a request for YAC to be listed on Alcurex.
Apparently it has to be voted but it's an easy shot.

The voting can be made at:
https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/newcoin

Thanks!

Hi folks,

With YAC/UTC struggling so much lately, what would be impact of utilising counterparty, as scotcoin etc has done? Is this possible for these coins? What would be impact if they did?
Sorry if it sounds stupid - I don't understand it, just noticed that other coins had done this...

i7 CPU have 8 threads. Total is in this random example 62h/s and PC (CPU) is also running some other things same time. If minimize all possible CPU loads it may give around and even over 10h/s  x 8

BTW - Current results on IBM HS22 blade servers with 2x Xeon X5650 CPUs (12 cores total @ 2.67GHz):

I couldn't find any way to correctly mine yacoin with current radeon drivers, maybe older drivers work better, but with crimson ones it's not working or it works only very slow.
May be it's time to update yacminer?

I don't have a problem. What are your settings, hash/s. Who are you talking to?

Nobody in particular, just saw someone with a similar problem as me in the previous posts and just stopped by Tongue
I tried the same settings with the same card and obtained the same hashrate, but i have gtx 970's giving around 400h/s each, how can a r9 290 give just 20, and there are 2 problems, 1) we can't set the full 4gb of the card with the --buffer-size param, it just won't alow us to set up more than around 2800 mb, so that reduces the amount of lookup tables that the kernel can use to speed up calculation, and that leads to 2) superslow hashrate with every setting we try that works.

One technique with high shader cards is to setup a very high lookup gap so the shaders can be used for calculations and some times that rises hashrate in opossition to trying to use the maximum amount of memory for lookup tables. That is not giving good results, however i remember having done that with 13 and 14 versions of the radeon drivers.

Best regards!
