how to r9 280x  https://www2.coinmine.pl/yac

miner -- yacminer-3.5.0-yac2-x86

yacminer --scrypt-chacha --worksize 256 -o stratum+tcp://yac.coinmine.pl:9088 -u xxx -p xxx --thread-concurrency 79104 -R 3072 --buffer-size 1576 --lookup-gap 8 ----- HW - HW ---  Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

You need to allocate more memory.  remove thread-concurrency and replace it with "--buffer-size 1536".  After you verified you can mine with those settings, increase buffer-size to as high as you can without getting the program crashing or a warning from it.  Then, increase -R until you start getting HW errors, then back it down just a bit

Paper wallet looks cool. Announcements page looks real clean. (I also really like the YACoin logo for some reason, it looks so crisp)

I'm wondering if the YACoin explorer can be made faster. I get frequent "time-outs" sometimes when viewing.

Also, is it possible for someone to see if they can make a Android Wallet for YACoin?

Incidentally, anyone looking to sell 50K to 100K YAC?  The order book on BTER and Cryptsy are rather thin, and the Marketplace section on the YACoin forum is pretty dead.  Hey StBitt, did you already unload the 200K to 400K you were looking to get rid of late last year?

I'll sell but not at the price you are looking for I am sure. You should pretty much ignore the orderbook though. Trading bots are hard at work on those sites.

Thanks again for updating this thread. Perhaps yacoin.org can have a link to here as the 'official' thread?

I agree, Yac is miles ahead, and more so, it resists without much buzz surrounding it.

The other coin I like is Myriad, quite innovative but the algorithms they used are not ASIC resistant at all...they are addressing that though.
Their thread is a good role model as well, check it out.

We need some p2pool nodes, a proxy p2pool like doge and vertcoin has, some paper wallet generator and whatnot.
I can only mine, and help people with that lol, but I'll give yall some morale.

+1 for the tip on myriadcoin's announcement page
Myriadcoin is pretty impressive. I think we all have an affinity for innovation (not crap clones). One of the 5 algorithm's should have been scrypt-chacha though--just sayin. Smiley

Paper wallet generator is my next project.
Been there, done that. Wink

wow didn't expect it so fast Shocked
great job!

Who wants a paper wallet when you have checkbox stake minting in the qt wallet. Wink

Good announcement page. I think it should pitch more on ASIC resistence -- even scrypt ASICs -- and N = 14, enabling profitable CPU AND GPU mining, great for starters and late comers.
Also not all POS wallets have coin control.

+1

Looks about right (in reference to Sahtor's post above).  I have updated the first post of the thread to that.  I'm sure any other needed changes will get discussed in the thread and I'll make them as needed.  Thank you Sahtor, for taking the time to prepare the content.

Your Alternative Currency

http://www.yacoin.org/

Specifications
No premine
Proof of Work: Scrypt-N SHA-3
Proof of Stake: 5% per year
Stake mining: 30 day wait, enabled with checkbox from wallet
Block time: 60 seconds
Block reward: MIN(100, diff ^ 1/6) or variable 0 to 100 based on difficulty
Total coin supply:
Difficulty adjusts every block
Configuration file: yacoin.conf

How it works
Yacoin is the original creator of Scrypt-N Proof of Work. Yacoin chose a PoW algoritm SHA-3 KECCAK to further distance itself from other coin creation schemes. Yacoin uses Proof of Stake to secure itself from pure PoW attacks.

Proof of Stake is an improved version from Peercoin's implementation. Yacoin counts PoS blocks with equal weight as PoW blocks.

I tried contacting WindMaster, but he hasn't replied yet, so I think it is best just to create a new announcement thread. We just want to present it in an appealing and familiar and user-friendly way. In my view, the NFactor change can basically be treated as a new coin release just with a premine for the initial investors--we can call the thread "[ANN][YAC] NFactor 15+ YACoin". There isn't a huge rush I guess, but it would be very beneficial to have the thread setup prior to the next NFactor change.

I'm still around, just a bit busy at the moment.  If someone wants changes made to the posts at the start of this thread, write them up and propose them here and if everyone is happy with them, I'll tweak the posts.  I just don't have time to write the new content myself at the moment.

Do we want to create some shared forum account like Yacoin-PR ?

I wouldn't think that's necessary...
