Despite the bumpy start, this seemed like a pretty good launch.  By changing the hash function, everyone had a very good chance to participate as GPU mining was not possible.

Also, YAC's changes to hash function were quite significant.

So, over all, well done pacopaco!

Does anyone know is cpuminer (aka minderd) works?

can someone explain to me how to build this on linux like im a 5 year old with down's?

i have the files from github. now what?

EDIT:

Code:
qmake "RELEASE=1"

gives me

Code:
qmake: could not find a Qt installation of ' '

it takes hours to build dependencies, even if you knew how.

Anyone who PM's then sends me 1k YAC gets front seat row on GPU fork i have already paid for  Grin

No need for GPU when you have university cluster

Haha, i would have done the same but we are on Public holiday till Monday, and by then the rape fest would have ended.
I have access to hundreds of thousands of computers... Very tempting, but not only would I get fired but probably also serve time! Keeping this small and private Smiley

But if sy...hehehe, it wasn't strictly YOU who was....you get my drift

Status: 0/unconfirmed, broadcast through 4 node(s)
Date: 8-5-2013 14:19
Source: Generated
Credit: (not accepted)
Net amount: 0.00 YAC
Transaction ID: 0a2d593b486f3f1778e0f529732e7586d43066a55a434584792bb66818847656

Generated coins must mature 520 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

euhm wtf ?

It says in wallet : +70.84 yac but i aint getting it ?

For the "Coincreator is mining it like crazy" i can just say, that when i first started up the client
pretty shortly after the post from pocopoco there where only 13 blocks in the chain.

So this is by no means premined or anything, i would rather say he first made the announcement-posts
and after that he fired up his miner.

so many people dont even start to mine since it have problems, dev is raping it and give a shit about that, so it is not premined, but actually it is in front of our noses

Of course the developer is mining his own coin, wouldnt you? Its released you know....

yes but if he want a fair race he would help others to mine it too

but you can use the -server option with qt.. although, i couldn't use it as a pool for myself
worked for me, tried mining with guiminer scrypt and got lots of stales by my graphics card. Bet there are some people using a modded gpu miner right now. Wish i was one of them. Cheesy
