is it good to have cpu on 100% for hours on end, how to limit it to say 75%? is it possible? also can i still mine other coins with my gpu using cgminer at the same time or is that not good for the pc?

Do I need to set server=1, rpc and port stuff if I'm mining with CPU using just YAC wallet?

No. you just have to start it up as stated in OP.
-genproclimit=x is the number of cores used by the CPU for mining

as for your minerd use the rcpport ... you are trying rpcallowip = 127.0.0.1 which your minerd is trying to connect so use that port
gen=1 if you want to mine..
and again don't user minerd, only yacoind or yacoin-qt.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought you couldn't mine this coin with minerd? I thought you had to use the client to mine.
Can anyone confirm that they have used CPUminer to get a confirmed block and is there a speed advantage to using it over the client?
