No luck with this coin.  0 active connections.  Starting with all the recommended mining parameters.  Have allowed it through the firewall

First time i started it up, it took a while till it got a connection

is there a way to make the hashpersec steady?  mine flucuates between 0-120k

Thank You

I think the real hashpersec himself is not steady... Due to very low difficulty and variable workcharge...

If your new altcoin started with low difficulty and is a copy of another coin with no revolutionary features, it has no purpose but to make a few people a bit richer.

It appears I'm one of those few people

FOR ONCE.

I missed out on this one Smiley I'm sure the next GPU open one will be along in a couple of days!
Send me some YAC haha and make sure to sell before it crashes!

Users\mm\Downloads\pooler-cpuminer-2.2.3-win32>minerd --algo=scrypt -
0.1:4321 --user=mirek --pass=x
13-05-08 13:29:00] 4 miner threads started, using 'scrypt' algorithm.

Can somebody help me to cofigure this

what's your yacoin.conf like ?

addnode=82.211.30.212
rpcuser=mirek
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rcpallowip=192.168.21.2
rpcport=8108
port=4321
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

set port=7688

as for your minerd use the rcpport ...  you are trying rpcallowip = 127.0.0.1 which your minerd is trying to connect  so use that port Roll Eyes

Can't believe people are buying at 1 BTC for 1000 YAC.

CNC was going 1 BTC for 10,000 at start.

Read the thread, the whole scam is that you can't mine this coin atm with anything but the client itself.

By the way, what's the current block count?
I've been sitting here for 15 min, and I'm only at  7759 blocks

well technically if what the OP said in the specs holds true... it would take some time before the coin can be mined with GPUs ... which makes it feasible for a lot with low end GPUs

CPU-like version of NovaCoin... I like this. If difficulty will grow slowly, there will be 500-600k coins at the end of this month.

There have been 9000 blocks mined already, at 80 coins per block thats 720K mined already in the last few hours.
Grow slowly? hahaha! Slowly until someone modifies a GPU miner and rapes the blockchain.

EDIT: 780k mined. Also how many total are there going to be
It seems that you don't understand PoW difficulty calculation algorithm. When PoS will become active, it will explode PoW difficulty. Botnets, GPUs simply will be f**ked up. PoW mining will be almost stopped, and emission will be performed by PoS (5% of active stakes per year).

But I agree, srartup difficulty is ridiculously low. It should be 100 times higher at least.

Tried both yacoin-qt and minerd. Propably a connection problem behind the operator NAT.
