yay. after finally managing to get my userrights (and some coffee to calm me down)
i managed to compile it but after starting the daemon i get:
root@ubuntu:~/yacoin/src# ./yacoind -daemon -gen -addnode=82.211.30.212
YaCoin server starting
YaCoin: Error initializing database environment /root/.yacoin! To recover, BACKUP THAT DIRECTORY, then remove everything from it except for wallet.dat.
What could be the problem?
deleting the directory won't change the error

BDB0055 illegal flag specified to DB_ENV->open

I need help, is download the binary versión (The 2 dll files), i put them in the minerd folder, then i open minerd with cmd and put -a scrypt-jane -s 5 -t 4 -o http://yac.dontmine.me:8080 -u riddikulo.1 -p x but nothing happeds, minerd shows me again the imput options like not getting the -a scrypt-jane a valid option.
Has N++ happened yet?

Cannot connect to pool page or mining pool. It must be being attacked or something.

It's basicly not that hard, yac uses scrypt-jane instead of scrypt which isnt available in cgminer (yet) but since its already in the cpuminer source you could adapt it if you know your way around and after that its gpu mineable, not as bad as the original scrypt but it will put cpus out of their place again.
I'm pretty sure some ppl have already figured that out and mining with their gpus

not in this life. seems to have more support now and faster performance just installed vmware with ubuntu 13.04 and tried to do the walkthrough that was provided here to compile the sources. everything went fine until i had to edit a file.
i have no admin rights and i am in the admin group. kind of remembers me of windows. but at least you can do something there. i just wanna hurt myself if i use this linux shit for a little longer.
as i said. linux was shit, is shit and will be shit for ever. it only has use for this coin
