Sidechains
The Super Node class supports sidechains. This is a major improvement to the system that moves the project well beyond a simple cryptocurrency. Not only will ZenCash be able to support other platforms over sidechains, but we will also be able to leverage the sidechains to integrate third party technologies.

New White Paper

The ideas behind ZenCash sidechain looks promising.
In addition, required ZenCash for staking is 500 ZEN, which makes it reachable for ZenCash investors.
I think sidechain and its big potential will contribute catching more attention of potential investors and more flows of money into the ZenCash project.

Is side chain supported by super nodes only?

Any advice on my investment in ZEN? I have searched many news sites for reviews but they talk about the potential but do not give out details of the project. Personally I like this investment because I like its name and the supply of ZEN very little, which may make ZEN good price in the future.

Just saw this forecast on ZenCash and it seems extremely positive: https://walletinvestor.com/forecast/zencash-prediction

This pretty much goes inline with Barry Silbert launching the ZEN fund not long ago and adoption is spinning up. Do you guys think we found a bottom for now?

nope. It may even go under USD$14.00 before slightly go up again by the end of September. The price wont go over USD$30.00 again in 2018.
I'm not sure how anybody can make suck claims, especially in the Crypto World. Roll Eyes

its the easiest market to predict ! Roll Eyes

Side chain in ZenCash network in the future, really?
Which are biggest impacts of potential sidechains?

It will make the Zencash network more decentralized. It will allow dApps & moving the secure node & node architecture on-chain. And dev. will be able to  build secure and private applications on sidechain
Zencash is still dependent on bitcoin price. But I'm happy to continue supporting this project & looking forward to see how it progresses.

Is there a tutorial to upgrade the Swing wallet? Don't laugh at me I know it's newbie-level question but I am a new Linux user and it's not so easy to move from Microsoft

Edit: sorry I found it on the documentation.zencash.com . It's finally very easy  Kiss

if its like the previous upgrades you just download the new one and install it.

I needed to use the terminal

Quote
sudo apt-get update -y
sudo apt-get install zen -y
sudo apt-get install zencash-desktop-gui-wallet -y

I like using the terminal on Linux when I need to download software, but I hate when it's about typing sudo apt-get, sudo stop, etc

I'm thinking of getting one of Ledger Blue with firmware 2.1. On their blog post, it says 'developer needs to create a specific Ledger Blue version of the app'. Are the ZenCash team thinking of implementing app for Ledger Blue?
 --> https://www.ledger.fr/2018/07/02/new-ledger-blue-firmware-version-2-1/

If I am correct you can't use the Ledger Blue with Zencash. But you can with the Ledger Nano S and the specific app for zencash
Ledger they would handle the Blue firmware,  but need confirmation. Stay tuned.

By the way, it's a very good idea to add Ledger to your wallet! This would add to the weight of the coin, since there are a number of investors for whom the possibility of storing coins in similar hardware wallets - this is critical!

zencash can be used on a nano s ledger

Can you be a secure node and super node simultaneously?
No this is not possible, one or the other.

Requirements are different, tracker will be different, payment pool is different..

3.5 percent security node award, I want to participate in it, how many ZenCash do each security node need to hold?

42 coins for secure node and 500 for Super node.

How to install Secure Node
https://documentation.zencash.com/display/ZEN/Secure+Nodes?src=sidebar

You need server with 1CPU + 6Gb of ram and 20Go minimun to run a secure node. Super node are still not "public" for the moment (I suppose Q3 2018 for Super Node

Can you be a secure node and super node simultaneously?

Pornhub will be accepting ZenCash

MindGeek owns and operates many adult entertainment websites including Pornhub, Brazzers, and 12 other websites.  People can now use ZenCash to pay for their purchases on all of these websites, including advertising-related payments for TrafficJunky and Pornhub’s traffic and advertising network.

https://blog.zencash.com/zencash-now-accepted-on-pornhub-websites/

Robert Viglione, co-founder of ZenCash, said in a statement that the payment option gives "the ability to pay for adult entertainment privately without fear of exposure."

https://www.coindesk.com/pornhub-taps-tron-zencash-crypto-payment-option/

Is this special for ZenCash or are they going to add a number of cryptocurrencies as payment method?

I am not sure but it seems they are only interested in privacy coins
