Hi Zero miners,

Do you know that you can mine Zero using miniZ miner? Smiley

miniZ is a fast and friendly Equihash Cuda miner. https://miniz.ch

 * Supports Equihash <144,5> <192,7> and <96,5>
 * miniZ is compiled for Linux and Windows
 * Cool console output and telemetry monitoring
 * miniZ GUI Launcher v1.0 (Windows)
 * Supports most mining pools
 * Developer fee: 2%

Equihash 192,7:
 * GTX 1050 Ti 4GB ~11-12 Sol/s
 * GTX 1060 3GB ~20-23 Sol/s
 * GTX 1070 Ti 8GB ~36-42 Sol/s
 * GTX 1080 8GB ~36-40 Sol/s
 * GTX 1080 Ti 11GB ~51-57 Sol/s
 * RTX 2070 8GB ~35-40 Sol/s

Use Cuda 10.0 versions with the RTX GPUs. For other GPUs you should test and see which performs best.

I literally don't understand how a small pow blockchain like this hasn't been 51% attacked yet, maybe as it's not yet listed on crypto51.app or something?
It's worrying to think how little it would cost to do an attack, it's a shame as this used to be a solid community project. It's ripe for another community takeover imo.

May I offer that the information on crypto51.app is not entirely accurate, neither in detail nor in principle. Do take a closer look and you'll spot plenty of inconsistencies.

I assure you that in case of Zero there are both logistical and technical reasons why such an attack is not feasible. Zero is the pioneer in unique parametrization of the Equihash algorithm, since its very launch two years ago. We are in communication with other members of the Zcash and Equihash ecosystems, including those that have been attacked, to investigate independently every detail and evaluate mitigations that have been put in place since.

Zero always has been and remains a community project, fully open sourced and constantly in search of contributors of every kind. Having been involved for twenty months now, I feel that the current team is the most committed and experienced. Join us on Telegram if you have further questions or would be interested in pitching in.
  Tearo.

Regardless of the accuracies of crypto51.app and available nicehash, with such a low hashrate in comparison to equihash coins that have been 51% attacked, I fail to understand how a decentralized pow blockchain can be resilient to this, unless it incorporates pos for example. Could you elaborate on the mitigation put in place? Thanks, I'm not a Telegram fan.

Hi;

Literally we are bleeding. Where that all hash power gone? It's not going to have a big effect, but I'm directing 1 more rig to Zer.

Kind regards

I have never seen such moderation in discord as on this coin. they can block you for virtually no reason, just for not liking what they're being cited for. be careful! their actions allowed me to draw a conclusion about this project. I'll stay away from him.

We are happy to have open respectful dialog with anybody. We only have 7 bans total on our Discord server, what is your discord handle and I'd be happy to look into it.

since cryptopia went the way of the dodo the trade volume of zero is almost gone, network hashrate is about 25% of what it was.
Coin value on crex is ~50% of what it was on topia for the little trade volume there is.
Is there any perspective of getting another major(isch) exchange?
Crex24 doesnt seem to cut it.
HI ,why not try Nova exchange or Binance?
Nice to see Zero on Dex.
I wish you good luck ZERO.

Has ZERO implemented sapling even before all other coins of the same family, including Zcash?

No, Zcash activated sapling last year along with Versacoin. As far as I know Litecoinz has sapling ready, but I'm not sure if it's activated. Snowgem released sapling binaries after Zero, but went with a shorter adoption window and activated before Zero. Zelcore I believe was scheduled to activate a few days ago, but I didn't follow the progress. Also I think Hush activated sapling, but I could be wrong. I don't think zclassic has released binaries or activated it yet. Komodo is either very close or already active based on what I saw in there github, but I don't follow them that closely.

Don't quote me on any of this, I don't follow these projects religiously, but to answer your question the entire family is in the process of moving to sapling and Zero was among the first few to get there.

Zcash was first. Zero was not very far behind tho!

Please use for trading! https://crex24.com/exchange/ZER-BTC

Cryptopia is down and we don't know when they will be back online.

Thanks.
