myself i would look for a DIY kit for computer cooling or buy the necesarry components 1 by 1. buy 3*12cm fan only radiator, or bigger!

if you have problems with the heat in the summer, maybe you can buy big car radiator, long tubes; and place the radiator outside!
winter is back? place the radiator inside Wink

Well Tupsu's suggestions won't work.  I'm against the wall on power used while still keeping in mine that I need AC this summer here in rural Georgia so a second C1 this order is out of the question.  If fact I've been buying power supplies and getting ready for an S5 but gave up after considering when btc reward might go to 12.5/block-discovered and that the S5's have remained Sold_Out well more than a week after the holidays ended.  The S1 fan air cooled solution I don't have the parts for.

I'm looking at these: "G1/4 120mm Aluminum Water Cooling Cooler Computer Radiator Fans For CPU Heatsink " on ebay if actually all inclusive, grill, radiator and fan.  Intending to use 3 in a window and a fourth outside with water flowing over for evaporation - the last's fan expected to be sacrificed from water exposure over time.

I'll have to buy some fittings and pumps.  I expect metric threads and don't suppose Lowes will carry.

Just bought a C1 batch 3 without the cooling kit.  Am now trying to decide what to do about cooling.  Started buying from Syscooling but choked on complaints of non-tracking and the shipping fee to the US.  I want to have some cooling ready when the miner arrives.

Is Syscooling fast enough and dependable?

What have most others here done when faced with this decision?

Thanks in advance for advice here.

Original shipment is fast from them.  But you will pay a premium for this service.

I suggest getting another pump, and a molex to 3 pin power adapter.   My original pumps 2 out of 2 died. One got lost for a month in mail other just a tad over a month.  The pumps are just horrible no way around it.

Buy another one from bitmaintech and ad to order 2x cooling kit.
Or build C1  into the air-cooled C1.  To this , you need at least two Antminer S1 radiators. (a total of 4 pcs)

Personal text my ass....
Well my last Syscooling pump died on me yesterday. I knew it would happen, since I've went through about 5 of them myself. I've switched over to that one from Ebay, which has been working fine. New hoses, a couple kill coils and feser one coolant I "should" be good for a while. I don't know how 50000 rated pumps die so quickly? Maybe they meant to say 500 hour?

hahaha bitmain needs to do alot of things Smiley understatement of the year
I would love to see them put out a water cooled S5 should be branded C2

Biggest thing bitmain has to do is straighten out their firmware issues

And why retire the S3 already when thats whats inside the C1 4 S3 boards

Its bad to retire a product before people have ROI on it

I think the problem is amount of trouble it can be.  If you look here it's full of troubles (In my opinion it is the kit that caused this, specifically pumps).   I don't see there being a C2.

I had to "mod" mine to get stability.  I switched to a molex to 3 pin adapter.   With this it does not try to take power from your PCI-e cables or from miner.   I also bought a pump on ebay.  That pump is still working great on two of them.

But that ebay pump is too small to run the S5 kit.

currently i use the miners to heat my home, have yet to turn on the heater this winter, just turned my rack around from blowing outside to blowing into a fan that directs it towards the air intake for the central AC system. Summers coming though and I am in process of building a small room in the garage that will vent the exhaust into the attic. and will tie the small room into the central AC or get a small portable AC unit. Do not want to AC the entire garage. Still working out the CFM requirements.

I wanted to use a evaporative cooler instead of a AC but I live in Florida and from what i read its way to humid to use them effectively here. Unless i drop the humidity level in  the garage which means using a dehumidifier so between the swamp cooler and dehumidifer power consumption might as well just run a portable AC or tie into the central AC system. The advantages of the portable AC would be temp control as it would not rely on the thermostat which doesnt read the miner room.

Now if i could just find a 10KW solar panel system for less than 20k Smiley wish i lived in a state where i could effectively use a wind turbine. Or where electricity was cheaper i.e in Washington by the hydro electric dam.

Would the standard radiator not do much more cooling?   I don't have experience with a fish tank chiller but I find it hard to think it will cool down the liquid as much as a 3 fan radiator.

those will not work.  you need a phase-change air cooled refrigerated cooler. You will then need a mixing tank and two pumps.  You can use a drinking fountain water chiller (elkay) but that will only work for about 1-2 miners max.
if you don't want refrigerated, try this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Luvata-LFS-Water-Radiator-Chiller-Grundfos-UPS-26-99-FC-Pump-TM1-0176-01-D-/181552485075?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a455f12d3
he will go down to 700 + shipping.

My mine Consist of a mix of 6 S3+'s 2 C1's and 2 S4's got 2 S5's showing up tomorrow believe me when I say I understand the power bill. Wife complains about all of the noise good thing she doesnt see the electric bill haha   Grin

And yes I am considering offloading the S3+'s they recently ROI but I want to see them profit before they go. The price is way down on these they are going on ebay for $100-$150 tops and considering I paid $450 for them well just hard to let them go at that price. they still bring in 505ghs at 400+watts each (overclocked ofcourse) BTW I never OC until the warranty is over

I got my S4's used from gawminers for $475 so that was a bargain and they will ROI quickly unfortunately I do not dare try to OC them as the stock power supply is already damn near at its max

My C1's go out of warranty next month and i run each one on its own 1300w evga G2 PSU's So i can OC them but from what i have heard theres not alot of advantage to OCing  them especially when they already pull 800+ watts at 1.1ths

Cant wait to get these S5's tomorrow not a big fan of the case not having a top and still working out  the details of how to heat exhaust them efficiently, a top venting case just doesnt configure well into my current racks. Nor am i big fan of the case period plastic and stuff ugh bad design period so I do like the water cooled concept but at those kit prices they seem a little to high.

I like my C1's and have had very little issues with them they are batch 2 I run my pumps-fans off of the PSU periph plugs instead of the boards, runninig of the boards is just crazy idea, dont know what genious at syscooling thought that up, then again i would say syscooling has a serious lack of geniuses Smiley haha I run mine on these pumps http://www.ebay.com/itm/500L-H-10W-DC-12V-Water-Cooling-DC-Pump-Tank-250ML-F-pc-CPU-CO2-Water-Cooled-/111241824048?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19e6878730
and have the syscooling junk pumps as backups. I considered buying swifttech pumps but they are crazy expensive.
and well a water pump is a water pump it does not have to be fancy just needs to work without failing. Hell you could use a washdown pump for a boat if you wanted Smiley just comes down to watts used. I seen some cool systems on youtube people cooling multiple C1's with all kinds of methods car radiators and such one guy even used geo thermal now that was inventive.

I myself would love to chuck all these miners in a 3m novek immersion tank that stuff is so expensive though. https://www.facebook.com/3MNovecdatacentercooling https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/datatank-mining-12mw-3m-novec-immersion-cooled-2ph-mining-container-655464

The max power dissapitation is 3500w

SC-BC2 Cooling kit sould support 4 sets C1 miners.

Cools off perfectly 4 Antminer S5.

3X  ANT BC1 mining cooling kit  Cools off 2 Antminer S5. 1x pump and 3x AT360 radiator assembled together. With 9 fan, only one side of the radiators.
Not that I would recommend it (3X  ANT BC1 mining cooling kit radiators), SC-BC2 Cooling kit  is a much better, but I  already had 6 of   them from C1 kit.

The syscooling kit radiator for the S5 is huge. It's almost as big as a small cars radiator. I would still be interested probably since its eating less power. I live in a single family ranch style house. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, living room, nothing special. You should see my electric bill just from having the three C1's running. I had to switch to the equal payment plan so I wouldn't be surprised with these huge electric bills and can budget much easier.

I feel your pain you should have seen my bills when I was running approx 12400 watts worth of mining gear.    I have started to get ready for summer and got rid of my 1T Dragon and my S3's.

You know it's bad when your electric company does not support one payment for your amount your paying.  They had to do two charges for me to pay per month to pay complete bill.
