is thier any new pools I am suppose to switch to and get payments faster? cause all of a sudden my S3+ now takes 5 or 6 days to get 0.01 BTC instead of 2 days like before

was thier a big spike in bitcoin difficulty or am I just on a bad pool now? I'm using bitcoin.cz

Diff has gone up and S3 is not very effective. If you don't have very cheap electricity it's not profitable anymore. Changing pool won't help this.

Yea I was afraid of this Sad

I can't afford a 1TH miner, and my S3 only makes $25 a month now

A friend of mine has a problem with his Antminer S3+, apparently, one of his fans died. After a few weeks, he noticed some "X" on ASIC Status of his first board, then the next day all of his first board was full of "X" followed by the second board getting all "X". Now, I'm not sure exactly is there any overheating protection in the device or how it works.
So, do you think the board actually got completely fried and dead, or it is that the "overheating protection" jumps in and turns off the chips because the device can't be cooled properly with only one fan?

Would be very thankful for any info  Grin

Cheers Kano. I'll get it up and running then take a look at updating it. I'm not massively compentent doing in depth programming stuff. But I'll search the forum for the necessary information and see what I can do.
All the info you need is on the webpage I linked above, it's a simple process if you use something like cygwin to ssh into the machine.

Here's a cap of Kano's status screen from my S3+:

If you mean my update?
My update has a few obvious changes on the web:
1) The Ant image in the top left also has a tiny "Kano" = かの in the image
2) The web page titles have "Ant Miner/K" (i.e. the added /K)
3) The stats page includes "G/HS(Paid)" with the hash rate statistics

I'm not sure what version it's got at the moment. Still waiting for it to arrive. Have you got a screenshot (or do you know where one is on the forum) of the new look of the tables? I'm searched but it's hard to find a definitive answer in the 500+ pages in this thread.

Cheers.

The only things that im unsure of at the moment is what all the various stats are on the screen shots ive seen throughout the forum (Diff#1, getworks, local work etc etc)?
Well the first thing you should do is update the cgminer with Kano's latest update, it removes all the unnecessary fields and adds a few useful ones.  Plus it reduces cpu load dramatically and makes your S3 more efficient: https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/AntS3

hi,
Also with the pool options, does anyone know how long it stays on the "second option" pool before connecting back to the priority pool? Does it stay there or periodically trys to connect?

I constantly looks at the Pools and as soon as the Primary comes back online it will switch.

'The right to privacy matters'
I'm new to this and recently picked up an S3+. From what I've been reading, the server power supply from here http://www.ebay.com/itm/251982322928?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT looks sufficient to power one Antminer. Just wanted to double check with you guys if it would be a good choice. Thanks.

did you buy it?

if you did how would you turn it on?

Ok, here's one for the group.  Has anyone run into issues with the S3+ interfering with over the air TV reception (channels 11 thru 13)?

Wife just made me put a timer on the units so that she can watch the news @ night.

Umm, thats weird, you could probably disable the Wifi, but its so weak, it should not affect anything anyways and if they're not setup, they should not broadcast anyways. Are you using S3 over Wifi?

Then i guess anything could interefere with the weak air TV. Maybe get her real TV?

There are some High Frequency Square waves in the Miners, not entirely surprising that there is some interference? Do we know if the miners are tested for or comply with any EMC regulations? Quite often testing for & passing these regulations takes some time, would not surprise me if they have not even been tested?

My experience is it is the psu's that create the interferance. My neighbor only had over the air tv and mine destroyrf his signal. I cured it by simply putting a dome of aluminum foil over my stuff. Leaving air flow open of course.
