Are there still b1s not shipped? Any b2s shipping?

My batch 2 order has been shipped, estimated delivery July 22.
Order Date:
2014-07-02 03:18:42

Me too.  Sweet.  I hope the ones in the box are better than some of the B1's I have heard described here.

On the S1's if you disconnected the blue fan wire you could make them run at full speed full time and it lowered the temps.  Anyone duplicate that on these yet?

Miner Setup And Reviews. WASP Rep.
Some comments:

1) Can't the beeper ringing be disabled on the configuration page by setting beeper to false?

2) On of my S3 miners has a temp of 0.

3) As a way to increase airflow, I removed the fan grills.

1) Yes in the "miner configuration" tab. At the bottom.

2) Temperature sensor may be faulty try restarting it. Do the fans throttle?

3) Taking out the fan grill won't make any noticeable difference and it protects the fans from getting damaged. Pushing cold air in. From my experience they run fine at low fan RPM stock. They shouldn't need modified if running at stock.

'The right to privacy matters'
okay some more testing of my pair…   I set the freq to 212.5 on both machines now.

I pulled the  evga 1300 dropped in a seasonic 1000 plat.

very nice results  my meter is 620 or 630 watts.  I don't have a k-watt right now this meter shows by va or volts x amps and is by 10 so the flux is 620 or 630.  it bounces back and forth.

so 630 watts for gear running at 840gh  comes to .75 watts.  my freq 212.5 seems to be very good for my two machines.

0 hw temps are cool.  anyone that wants to ssh should give 212.5 freq a shot.

we need someone to figure out a pencil mod.  my guess is  212.5 freq /423gh  could drop from 315  watts to 280 watts

Noticed a change this morning (Saturday, east coast US).
The 'edit' disappeared  from my batch 3 order in view options.  Order placed 7/8.
If I remember from a week ago from other posts that is a good sign!

Already set mine to False and they still beep on occasion, I think it's something that should be fixed in software rather than butchering the internals.

a drop of suprlue on the opening of the buzzer should do the trick

Assuming you meant Superglue, that counts as butchery in my book Smiley

Got the email that my first 2 B2 orders shipped.
Order Date: 2014-07-02 06:32:18 (paid for within minutes).
Order on website listed as "shipped".
Opted for the refund, that is still listed as "Init".

Right on schedule.

Orders of magnitude better than Butt F*&^%$g Laboratory (BFL).

Right ON Bitmain!

Thanks for the speaker photo, minter12345. I think my wife would recommend a boiling oil bath for it, but maybe I'll insert an on/off switch. That seems like a very big speaker for the application.

No probs, I with your wife about going crazy lol.  I didnt get much sleep with a random beep going off.  Its like torture.

Should be two through hole legs on the other side of board to desolder.  But maybe the tape over the hole on top will solve it as suggested.

I did notice the nobeep option is passed to cgminer, but no idea what cgminer does with that option.

Got both my S3's from batch 1 yesterday.  They both averaged around 425GHs, but I had them both hooked up with just 2 PCI-E connectors on each on 1 850 watt power supply.  Figured maybe they wanted more juice so have them both on their own power supplies with 4 PCI-E a piece now and it's only been an hour or so, but they look to be hovering around the same level.  This seems to be a common theme.

Boy, I have a lot of respect of bitmain and they are so loved in the BTC community, but they really seem to have dropped the ball on the S3 launch.  Batch 1 orders not shipping for a week and units consistently coming in a good 10% under the stated 478GHs.

I don't know if it is what you want for disabling but there is "Beeper Ringing" option on the Miner Configuration menu window.

First thing I tried. No detectable effect.

This thread is very long, but the unsuppressable-beeper issue keeps coming up every few pages. Nobody seems to have a definitive fix yet.

Has anyone found the physical speaker/beeper yet in case metal surgery is needed? I haven't opened the cases at all - just put them to work out of the box (nice gear, Bitmain).

The beeper is in the top left of this pic, the round thing:

It seems a conventional buzzer. If its that much annoying just put a tape over the hole of the buzzer.
I think Bitmain will release a new firmware as a fix for this issue.
I have no way to check myself, my miners took a wrong plane and gone to Indonesia.
If I'm lucky and no earthquake in Indonesia, I will get it soon.

And it looks like they are at least starting to print labels for B3..So things must be starting to catch up on their end..

Oh, good. Where should I look for mine?
