Nice setup! I'm very impressed! I don't think you will run into any problems, but if you do, this thread isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Thank you!

I will be running four (4) 30 AMP circuits this week to prepare for S4's.  These circuits require 10/3 wiring and 30 AMP receptacle.  I will also use a special cord to plug in two (2) S4's into one 30 AMP circuit.

why are you using 125V wires though? 250V (or 220v more likely) is slighlty safer and more power-efficient to use.

For those with S4 coupons, are they $50 or $200 coupons?

200 good to the 15th.

That 30a breaker will be a lot harder to trip if you're only using ~2800w out of 7200w in the event of a fault with one of the S4s.
I assume you mean ~1400W instead of ~2800?
And yes, I concur with the rest of the content of your post.
[dmwardjr]- I didn't realize you were operating at 240V, made the assumption that you were operating at 120V. Disregard my comment about dedicating  a single circuit for one S4

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant ~2800w, considering 2x S4s per circuit with each drawing ~1400w.

You're under-utilizing those circuits.

240v x 30a = 7200w

7200w derated by 20% for safety =  5760w of usable power per circuit.

You could power 4x S4s per circuit, without issue. In my opinion it would also be safer in the event of a short or a blown PSU. That 30a breaker will be a lot harder to trip if you're only using ~2800w out of 7200w in the event of a fault with one of the S4s.

Just got my "Bitmain Order Paid Confirmation" from bitmaintech.com.

Thanks again for the heads up about no more than a couple of hours so I was not pulling my hair out wondering what was taking so long.

Moderator,

I will delete the pictures and all shortly.

Thank you.

What I was curious about is how long it takes for payment to be confirmed and they send an email to me?  I already received an email telling me I have one hour to make my purchase before cancelation.  I completed that purchase about 2 minutes after receiving that email.
Within a few hours, usually. Don't worry, as long as you sent the correct amount of BTC to the address they provided, you'll be fine.

What did you buy, S3 or S4? I am sitting on 13 S3 coupons you could have used as well as S4 coupons probably won't use. We could have reached a deal both would have been happy with.
LOL. Are you upset with this guy for not contacting you in order to buy a coupon from you before he made his purchase?  Cheesy

Not that it is any of your business but he mines at a pool I do and I have had several conversations with him and would have given him a coupon NC.

Not sure if it was you or not, sic, who had the S4 coupon that expired like October 24th, which was no good for me.  Oh well, too late now.  Probably too late for the next one.  I will get another S4 as soon as I earn enough to get one.  I should earn BTC a little faster than before.  It's like adding 4 and a half S3's to my farm when I get one of these S4's.

I hope I have no issues with this S4 when I receive it.  I have been a bit hesitant after seeing a youtube video of an S4 smoking and the difficulty issue on pools that start low and slowly wind up higher.  I was going to wait for batch 3 but I just couldn't wait any longer.  LOL

David
At this point, I don't think you are going to have any problems at all with your S3 when you receive it. BITMAIN has sorted out the bad PSUs. Just make sure that you don't try to power it with a circuit that is already using a decent amount of wattage. In fact, I would recommend dedicating just one single circuit to the S4 and the S4 only. 1400W can be a lot for some residences to handle (Im assuming you are a home miner), especially if you already have a bunch of S3s connected to the same circuit.

I deleted the pictures.

No problem, David it is and these are good to the 13th and 15th if you need one pm me.

Damn, wish I would have known.  I will not get another till approximately 3 to 4 weeks from now.  The coupon will be expired by then.  Maybe someone else looking at this forum will know you have some available if they are in the market for an S4 before the 15th.

EDIT: You will have no issues with vardiff pools as long as you use ckolivas's firmware, its somewhere buried in this thread, I think somewhere between pages 40 and 50. you just ssh into your miner and:
Code:
wget http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/antminer/s4/4.6.1-141018/cgminer
mv /usr/bin/cgminer /usr/bin/cgminer.bak
chmod +x cgminer
mv cgminer /usr/bin/cgminer
/etc/init.d/cgminer.sh restart

I think that's it. I typed it all from memory, because any time you do a power cycle, the firmware goes back to the original, and you have to repeat the above process. Hopefully at some point down the road BITMAIN will release firmware that will fix this.

I purchased with the price of BTC at $370.19

I wasn't sure if it would hang in there much longer to the evening.  I put Monday at midnight as my cutoff date for purchase.

I never said it was any of my business, it just seemed kind of funny to me. Now that you have explained that you had a prior relationship with this guy, it sort of makes sense...didn't mean to offend you, I apologize if I did, I just thought it was kind of funny...

It sure is, and I remember that very same feeling the first time I made my first BITMAIN order, but in a few days you'll have a nice shiny S4 at your door and you won't think twice about ever buying from anyone but BITMAIN. For all the bitching I've done about  not receiving my compensation yet, I can't deny that BITMAINTECH.COM (or any authorized reselllers, like SUSHI) is without a doubt the way to go. You will never want to waste your time or money buying rigs on ebay again, especially when 95% of the bitcoin rigs on ebay are way overpriced, and typically have always been used (sometimes even damaged or DOA).
