Well if we look at specs on Sanyo it should be plug and play... but there could be a case when you would need to connect it directly to PSU. You will see when fan arrives.

I should be getting the "Sanyo Denki SunAce 120 9GV1212P1J091" fan tomorrow.  Has anyone tried it?

I'm wondering if it's plug and play.  Or if I will need to do anything to fan or wiring.

Will do!  Should be Wednesday when I receive it.  If all goes well I should have some pics and put it in and have pictures that night.

I ended up going with the "Sanyo Denki SunAce 120 9GV1212P1J091".  If it turns out to be to cheap or i don't like it I will order one of the delta fans.  This one was just the cheapest but still had good RPM. I should have it midweek.

Which fan did you bought for replacement?

Sadly have had my first fan quit.  These S4's have been workhorses.  This is first problem I have had with it.   If I would not have been moving miners I doubt I would have known, the fan half way still spins.

Ordered a replacement fan should have it mid week.  I will document it and show how well it hopefully works.   It was far out of warrenty so I went with replacement.

So, if price settings still doesn't work, please ask nicehash to fix that, i've used latest patch from them.

BTW a way i avoid all those problems, "extranouce, Pool not changing etc." is by using a Proxy server. i use the one posted on nicehash. easy to set up and works nicely.

Are they the original fans? If you bought it from bitmain then they should be but some people replace fans with low specs. Either that or your fan is slowly failing.

i had this problem too. i found a block with S4 same like you, and orphaned. i think someones steal ours.

If you simply bricked it, returning your Bricked S3 control PCB to Denver address with $15 Money Order, the replacement be send your way.

Please roll it back to older firmware and see if the problem goes away.

I am facing a new problem with s4's. The stale/orphan shares are very often for me on p2pool with new firmware. Any one else facing this issue and has a solution for this?

If you bricked the S3 control PCB, and you are in USA/EU/Ukraine/Russia, we may be able to reset it for you. 

Please DO NOT connect S3 hashing PCB to S4 control PCB.  You may damage both!

I don't believe it's comparable to do this.  The board's are also not even close, so I don't see how you would get it to work.

I feel your pain on the bricked S3 I did it once, was not fun.  If you look on here some have been successful at making them come back alive.

I think i just bricked my control board on one of my S3+ it wont reset hardware like it used to. Would it be possible to hook up my S3 to my S4 through the connectors straight to the other chipboard of the s4 on its empty slot. Theoretically it would run under clocked at s4 settings which should be fine. Just thought i would put it out there to get second opinion before i continue.   

I've talk with BITMAIN website support .I've already submit a ticket ,trying to call , numbers no longer in service.But I got 5 or six e-mails and they asking me to send them pictures .I did  send them 8 pic .
Now I got another e-mail here you're "May you connect the 2 hash boards one by one and confirm whether each one can work well separately? When connecting the first blade, please disconnect the other one from the control board and then test the other one in the same way. Provide us the screenshot of Miner status as reference. When do the test, be sure that the 4 pin cable is connected to this board to provide power for control board. "  How I can provide them screenshot when my BITMAIN even can't turn on ,control panel didn't turn on.Only fan start working at very low speed that is hard to hear the  sound.
Also ,how I can test second blade if 4 pin connector is to short to reach second blade to control panel??Should I buy longer???Why they didn't provided  longer one??Please answer me.Well.. it's not about 1.78 BTC I've paid them but I can't hold my wife coments .She said that  I'm naive and shouldn't deal with foregin companies .If you have wife you probably know wat's that mean .I'm sure that next week all family and mother in love will make joke from me  Please help me survive from shame 

Which support did you talk to?   I have dealt with them and they always have treated me fair.  Did you submit a ticker or call?

If you bought from Bitmain talk to their support if in warranty they will take care of you.
