Might be but saying 6 Amp is rather inaccurate since each amp there is 240watts. The way you gave round number make it sound like if its 5.8AMP it says 6 Amp, hence the need for a reading with a wattmeter. Not sure how your PDU works.

Mine for a Bit

DANG! Had one BURN-UP on me on startup. Emailed Bitmain yesterday, will wait for their reply.

When the switch does not connects the antminer immediately, this is what can happen. The Antminer Batch 7 had the September Firmware on it when I received it and did not have perfect internet connectivity evidently. Here is the pic. I have tried everything to get this to run again soft/hard reboots, firmware update / backdate / reset. Nothing seems to help. When this happened last time, I did the troubleshooting that Bitmain asked me to do and ended up sending the boards and the controller back to them.

I am hashish 4050 on a b6, whit only 7 Inputs on boars 2x3x2 , and one for controller.

Trying to overlock but i just get alot of HWR even if i underclock....

it's doing like 1100 from the wall whit IBM 2000 BB PSU.

I looked att the board but it only have 3 connections ?

1 of my b5 board died, sent to china, they reply pretty quick gmt+8

just received my b8 today 1 of the board is 0 temp with dashes, tried everything including the diagnostics china sent to me.

same result. but if i just try 1 board it shows 48 chips hahha

but when i power off n on it shows 30 chips

multiple reboots, power on n off, tested psu it's all good.

conclusion board dead. hate to document everything n send the board back ! costs me usd 60 bucks !

another b8 1 of the board wold kinda like blip n stops hashing for a while n comes back alive or the miner would kind of reset itself n mine again. it's just random will monitor the other miner.

both miners ordered about 10 days ago. running latest fw from bmt site.

just received them today ! only been mining for about 7-8 hours. temps are good too no more than 60 C.

i'd say DON'T buy any s7's for now till a solution comes up.

Yup, I wished I picked up an S5 or two months ago when they were cheap used. Even the S3s are expensive used now! Hell, I bet I could sell my S1 for more than I paid for it a year ago.

FWIW, where I'm coming from is from a former home-miner perspective, and everything I've seen past the S5's from Bitmain (the only game in town, really) has been a risky to losing proposition, and has driven me out of home mining altogether; having sold off my SP20's, S3's, and S5's, and making occasional fiat buys on (exchange doesn't matter).

At the end of the day, I'm just disappointed seeing Bitmain's transformation from the S1 days to where the landscape is today.
