KUCOIN, LBANK, IDAX and binance ar eone of the most intimidating exchange.
though there are so many coins who want to be listed on low value website which is not good.
have you seen the IEO of LATOKEN and once listed the coins went trash?

The hack was a bad news for binance but that didn't stop traders or investors to stop using binance. I just like the way binance managed the news and kept their users cool through it all. If you decide not to use binance again, that's your choice but you may have to reconsider later.

Wasn't it partly users fault for falling for phishing?

Are you guys kidding? We have more than enough good exchanges. Take a look how many exchanges we had in last bull run 2017.
And problem of the security will be here forever, due to its nature: centralization.

HitBTC needs to fill KYC, and I know that when I log into my account but I am not proceeding in that day.
If you are fine with KYC, then you can try with bittrex or poloniex because both exchanges have a big volume trade and it's a big exchange too besides of binance.
Kucoin will be a good choice too, and I think you can try with bitmex if you are curious with leverage trading.

When you choose an exchange, you should follow some hints.
- I can buy this coin only in one exchange?!
- What are the condition for deposit /withdrawal? KYC? TOS? Complaint over the internet?
- Any topic in bitcointalk (and some representative here available for support and provide all information?)
HitBtc has received a lot of complaints during the past months/weeks....

@OP, the HitBTC you is having more controversies, most especially about looking more like scam and that you need to be careful in using it. Although i am not saying it is an outright scam exchange, but that the Binance you are ruling out is better than it.

After the Binance hack, I no longer use Binance. Delayed withdraws, hacks, ect. I just don't want to deal with them anymore. So, with that being said, I want to find a new exchange for my crypto needs. I also, am not a fan of Coinbase/Coinbase Pro due to their Bitcoin Cash fiasco. I've been reading about several exchanges and HITBTC is one that keeps popping up. It seems like it has a decent amount of positive sentiment surrounding it (https://tipestry.com/topics/5ce9b551e528302571b89464/hitbtc-possibly-insolvent,-claims-new-report). What do you guys think? Is it worth using? Have any of you ever used this exchange?

HitBTC is not a recommended exchange. Binance is way better than HitBTC though they have been hacked recently because they handled it smoothly without putting the risk on the customers' side. HitBTC also known for withdrawal delays, high withdrawal fees for certain coins as well as account freezes without valid reasons.

Out of the exchanges I have used so far, Bitstamp is the one that satisfied me. They have decent withdrawal times for all coins and never faced any issue so far.
But if you want an exchange that doesn't ask your KYC details, then it is not the exchange for you.

There are still many lists of trustworthy exchanges such as kucoin, bittrex and maybe live coin. So far I have personally tried to trade in each of these exchanges and have no problems.

Check the exchange in my signature - they're relatively new but under a very experienced CEO, fully regulated, all necessary licenses etc - they'll be around for years (can't say the same for many of today's exchanges).
They also have their token that powers the exchange(like Binance), but will also offer far more features than only trading assets.
CoinMetro - for the monthly raffle going on for new members right now(chance to win ~$175 in their token, XCM).  Smiley

Fiat deposits/withdrawals - crypto deposits/withdrawals
coming soon: margin trading/lending, debit card, TAM, ETCF..
Only exchange needed nowadays except for the cryptos not listed, but they'll be listing 3 new per week  Grin

Well in my opinion you should use switch.ag they don't require personal information and you don't need an account, trade between +150 alts and other stuffs like giftcards.

And if you like that they got a dex which is the one i use mostly Switchdex.ag worth checking up, depending on your needs as a trader this could be a good option for you
