I really need to see Get Out. The last one I saw that I thought was great was The Conjuring.
Watch Get Out, it's a horror movie about race relations. If you are sensitive to race, I wouldn't suggest it, also if you are white amlnd feel some way about young black people, but otherwise, it is really, really fucking good. It's sci Fi horror on the slick, I don't want to spoil it for you. Lot of elements of psych drama/ horror as well. It's good dammit, just torrent it.
asian horor, you can try to watch movie about vampire or shaolin. its from east asian, like china, and japan

asian horror movies it has a better twist. kuntilanak trilogy were best. and much of thailand horror. american horror maybe kind the conjuring.
I don't find any good horror movie these days not even Japanese or Korean. They don't have new concepts left. Recently I watched 'don't knock twice' which was a good watch though.
There're Alien Convenant and Amityville: The Awakening coming up in the next 2 months or so.
I totally love GRIM. It is a seasonal movie and you should watch it if you haven't, very interesting.

Last night I watched "Institute (2017)", its not bad, a bit of gore scenes, interesting subject for those who like stories about secret societies , a bit of psychological stuff... so, its not something wow, but it is good, its pays attention and its interesting.
Actually there are many horror movies but there are a few horror movies that I can recommend and have attracted attention lately.

Don't Breathe is a nice movie

The Babadook is pretty damn good psychological horror. Bone Tomahawk is fucking disgusting and I loved it. There isn't much gore, but what there is is so intense it makes up for the lack of it. It's great.
