if would be very interested to buy thru bitcoin if your store can deliver the cupcakes.
people would be interested so long as they don't need to wait for days for it. maybe you can partner up with wedding organizer for such business.

I think its pretty sweet if you could buy them with bitcoins.
The only thing is that's difficult with shipping.
Cupcakes will dry out very fast at the most times.

My girlfriend and I have been thinking about launching a cupcake business for bitcoin. She's been doing cakes, cupcakes, cookies for about 4 years now, until the company she worked for shut down. Just seeing if there would be any interest in this. Average price per cupcake is around $2.65 each, please post any interest, if i see enough, ill help her build a domain and accept btc as a payment option.

Thank you

Those  are 697K sat. per cupcake considering a average price of  $380 for BTC + transactions fees + shipping fees, it sound expensive, and yes agree with another guy, better you and she could think  sell in your local area only or think in opening a coffee shop to sell all products.

Exactly. The problem though it needs to be fresh and stay fresh.
So you will get more orders if you can maintain the freshness of the product.

That's simply an amazing idea, the problem is shipping cupcakes in good condition... If it was on my country, I'd definitely buy way more cupcakes Cheesy

Yes I am thinking the same thing shipping is very difficult to do.
I think its pretty hard to work out the idea, good luck !

Sigh. People are so stuck on the whole shipping thing that they overlook the fact that it can appeal to people in the local area. They can just simply add a Bitcoin payment option as well as the usual payments. If you really want to ship worldwide then it would need to be chock-full of preservatives, and I'm pretty sure that if OP plans on charging $2.65 for each cupcake, then they're going to be of pretty high quality (or large) and would not include the aforementioned preservatives.

Though OP has not disclosed their location, it should be noted that there would likely be some Bitcoin users in the local area, and if there aren't, then it would bring forth more publicity to Bitcoin. This is a good thing.

Note: OP has not been active since October 14, of last year.

Yeh... send homemade thing to another country is cool, but food isn't a good thing, but some sort of "natural" thing could be good, like specif trees seedlings or some jams.

Like Acerola, Kakadu Plum, Goji, Camu Camu, Guava.... all of these could be in raw, but better send it through mail in a form of jam. Don't know... maybe I'm crazy. auhauaha  Tongue

I think its pretty cool to do it, and pay with the bitcoin.
The only thing is that its very hard to get it really working.

I think food is very difficult to sell online with a variety of country's around.
Also the transport is very difficult and a cupcake will dry out after a couple days.

It is indeed very difficult to sell food around the world.

You should namely take into account the shelf-life date and freshness.

You should namely be careful with it.

i like your idea cupcakes for bitcoin but the problem is you do not can send every cupcakes to other country because the shipping costs more bigger than the price of cupcakes except you accept free delivery order for every country but it will be actually make you loss

LOL. That is so true. Where are you are based? Do you do free shipping to every country in the world? Otherwise there is no point for this business.

Oops its unworthy idea according to me If wanna do for overseas trading and all It will not work with bitcoin I guess especially in this business. Better op can suggest to work with local city for cup cake business

Hello

We are the owners of a bakery business in Mexico that makes pastries, cookies, cakes, and cupcakes. We has been funded only by crypto (litecoin most, some bitcoin).

I want to say you and your girl friend: go ahead! Create wonderful cupcakes, delicious, gorgeous and sell them near you, on parties, baby showers and other events, and eventually, develop cupcakes without sugar, without gluten, and for vegans. And then, develop a way to export them to many countries.

Let know your girlfriend that passion for what she does is the best thing, and if she likes a lot making cupcakes, bitcoin can empower her business with global commerce.

How can you say something like that and not link us to your store?

I will love to buy some but i wonder will it be worth it with all the shipping to india. And even if i will get the cup cakes or cake smash :/
It is not worth it at all. You will probably get cupcake puree by the time it reaches India.

Gaaaaahhhhh!!!  Why do people keep resurrecting this thread?!!  It's in an old folks home just wanting to die already. Let's give it a good death and stop posting in it. The person with the cupcakes is long gone.
