My girlfriend and I have been thinking about launching a cupcake business for bitcoin. She's been doing cakes, cupcakes, cookies for about 4 years now, until the company she worked for shut down. Just seeing if there would be any interest in this. Average price per cupcake is around $2.65 each, please post any interest, if i see enough, ill help her build a domain and accept btc as a payment option.

Thank you

I wouldn't pay $2.65 for a cupcake if it jumped out of the box and sucked my dick.
Oh my fucking god this post made my day. +1

I really love the idea, we need more people like your wife. That is the best way to incorporate the BTC to the daily life and to local business.  Grin

I'm thinking to start a local food business for bitcoin too, but in my country the people don't have the bitcoin culture, will be hard at the start.

Thanks, I know some people will not like the idea, But, ya never know until you try it. Right now, i'm creating a simple page with a few photos of what she makes and see if those sell any.

The NEXT IDEA - If there are interest in this, I have another idea that may get some sales.

The idea:
Make a BITCOIN - Clam themed cupcake. Inside (inside the wrapper) will be a bitcoin address with private key with x amount of coins, it may be 0.001 or 1.0 who knows. I think that may be a decent selling idea aswell.

IF sales are a success, then we could maybe think about marketing the wrappers to bitcoin companies. As in their logo and domain on the box/cartoon etc for x amount of bitcoin per batch. Hell i dunno, my mind races when thinking about ideas, lol

That's simply an amazing idea, the problem is shipping cupcakes in good condition... If it was on my country, I'd definitely buy way more cupcakes Cheesy

I like cupcakes, but here are my concerns.  First I would only want cupcakes of the highest quality, otherwise I might as well buy them at the local store.  Second I am concerned that they will stay good from shipping.  My house only has gorillas to deliver packages, and they always destroy things.  It is also hot here sometimes, so how would the cupcakes still be fresh if they are on my door step for 4 hours in 90 degree weather?

I wish you the best of luck.  I am not trying to be a pain, but these are the things that I would think about if I bought cupcakes from you.

Depending on where you're from and how much will be the postage charges it could work, but it would probably be only successful locally or within the country, I don't think someone would order cupcakes internationally (some might) but you can give it a shot right from here without opening a site first and see how it goes.

Set up a temporary shop in a thread, post pictures, contents, price etc, arrange an escrow(very important) and start taking orders, if it works to a satisfactory level, go ahead and make a site for it and start the business. When you open the site you can ask the people who tasted the cupcakes to write a review about them. Best of luck.
