The best advice for someone that is new to trading is to way and try to learn as much as possible before you do any trades, since there is a lot more in this world than just buy low and sell high, you need to choose the right exchange, how much you are willing to risk, for how long you want to trade what altcoins you want to trade.

If you are a newbie in trading, It should be great if you read some threads here to make a conclusion which can help you in trading and also starts from a low capital which you can afford to lose so it will not hurts your feeling if you got negative profits because it is part of learning. After you read and made an conclusion about trading, It is good for you to try the things that you learn here and apply it on your trading strategy. Explore,Read,Apply <- That is one of the best thing to do IMO.

Yeah, that was the points to remember when trading. Also, in addition. Don't be carried away with your feelings. Discipline is one of the main factors that is essential in order for you to succeed in trading. Make sure to stick with your plans and focus on what you are doing. Also, make sure to have a deep background research on the coin you are going to trade to avoid the loosing of your bitcoin. And lastly, make put into your mind that trading has a risk of loosing money and you must accept the fact that in the start. We will loose some money because that is part of the trading learning process.

Even you already know the move of the altcoin you monitor , it will fall down there a chance that it will not  recover the amount that decrease  ,accept that there is always risk, i saw many altcoin that the price going down morethan 20x and now it's hard to recover back,

Yes, it really happens and it is a great risk that we have to anticipate. Some I was forced sell at low price just to convert it back to bitcoin as the devs have already abandoned the coin. Sometimes its a sad case already if the exchanges give a notice of delisting.
Thats the saddest part when you are still trying to hold hoping that the coin can make a rebound but in the other way its been delisted and every investment that you place has been completely burned so its really important to study first before you enter the trading business.

Buying a  sh*tcoin would  really waste of your  money  . Thats the  thing   why trading is  hard   because  there are  lots  of coins out there   to choose  from   and you  must   be  vigilant and  do  research first  before  you  invest into a  coin because  not all will  pump in the future  because  most  of coins  out there  just   pump  once and  dump  forever. To OP, if  you want   to trade  better study first the  most  important things to do in trading.

don't trade altcoins, trade bitcoin to fiat and sell when it is expensive and buy when cheap

can you give us a tutorial on how to do this on kraken? I have my btc sent there for two weeks already yet i haven't done anything yet since i find the interface confusing. I can't even move my btc to usd. it would be neat if i can find a detail tutorial on how to do it.
No kraken platform is not any alien thing, if you spend time to check their features you can easily get adopted to them. Because, preparing a complete tutorial might take long time. You can ask questions here at which point you are facing any difficulties, then people will come with your required solutions.

Recently I sold my ICN tokens there. That was my first time in kraken. I just registered an account and did everything smooth step by step.

i think for beginner it is better to trade bitcoin with alt coins, because you can learn more by trading alt coin and you have more option to trade and beside of that, it is cheaper to trade alt coin rather than exchange to fiat, when i was start trading, i trade bitcoin with alt coin, one thing that i learned is you need to be patience to earn from trading and you really need to see the news everyday, most of the time i lost money from trading is because panic selling when i see the price is dropping, so in order to start trading you need patience, knowledge and self control

Though I seldom trade bitcon - dollar pair but I know it is very profitable and you do not need to convert bitcoin  like in altcoins case. But since I diversity my trade, there are also alcoins which is good and with real backers. But as what @garundang said, I would say also that just be carefull when choosing altcoins.

The best tip for you is that do not invest your capital in trading as you are new to this field, just separate a minimum amount of your capital and do sell and buy with that and try to increase that amount on any exchange where you want to start trade, and when you notice that now you are in a position that you do not lose any amount there then you will be in a position that you can start trade in full.

I like this tip, the only think I would like to add is to never be greedy. You will see the term a lot of times here and in the trading world.
Many investors are too greedy and wait too long to either buy or sell.

I was one of them...

Because the panic sell and no one buy that coins while the price hits a ground and becoming a dead coins
Also the dev dump hard their coins cuz achieved their goals for run away our money , and also the bad community the coins has in network.
But , you can still hold that coin . Who knows a good dev can making those coins good again.

I agree that you should not trade in full if you do not have any experience yet in it. Yes there are others who became millionaires in trading but I believe that they did it because of years of experience and hard work. They already have a feel of the market and already have a speculation of when the buyers or sellers will act and where the market will go.Experience, research and trading psychology is needed to be a successful trader. You can see if you already have the trading skills by your performance and if you are consistently earning profit. When this time comes then may be you can invest higher capital to earn bigger profit.

start  with small amount and learn with it
if you win or lose make it a lesson
when you're ready start with big amount

Suggestions and tips are very unusual. because the first time I know trading, most major way I do is do everything you do. and now the results I get from the Tip is I can already get more than enough money for the life of me and I will look for other ways, so the money I get can help all those who are in need and I want to be someone that is beneficial for everyone
