Before seeing any good hashrates on vega you'll need to wait out a few updates from claymore to optimize his miners across all different algorithms(mainly claymore's zec and eth miner)
No idea where is the result come from
I got a vega but it just doesn't work with most of the Kernal

Gonna have mine soon - and will be modding the shit out of the VBIOS.

Do you think that vega will have "polaris bug" or it will not be affected like nvidia gpus?.

I kinda doubt it will have an issue - we'll see, though.

Can confirm this issue is on vega as well.

Block 3M = 34 MH
Block 4M = 29 MH
Block 5M = 22 MH

Don't care about eth .

what about zec 1000 sols at 200 watts possible?  or 900 sols at 200 watts?  or worse.

Well zec is going to be so unprofitable because everyone will move from eth to zec, it is going to be madness.

well  if your are right I am sitting pretty with my 1080 ti's

and was smart to sell all my rx 480's
i wait to see real results on Vega and if good i sell all my rx 470 Smiley

How do you know that, you tested it on FE? (we need more people to confirm that, maybe gaming one will be different, but i doubt it)  Well it seems that nvdia is going to be the best card for eth and etc, from 2-3 months, what an irony.

Edit:
Wait a sec, current block is 4M, how does your miner recognizes card as vega or something else? can you test block 2M?
Someone need to ask claymore about this.

whelp vega is junk too it seems , good job AMD lol

Low performance on one specific mining algo does NOT make a card "junk".

I'm still waiting to see ANY non-ETH mining numbers from folks with the Frontier Edition.

I will be looking at the Nvidia Volta GPU around this quarter!

Volta IIRC is HBM 2 based - so I anticipate the initial Volta card(s) will be super-high-end compute stuff like the Tesla line and available in limited quantities due to the production issues that have been seen so far with HBM 2.

Well I have a lot of $$ ready and I am going to sit for a bit.

I am selling  all cards except my 1080ti's
I have 2x msi red led gamer  rx 480 8gb   333 each
I have 1x asus strix              rx 480 8gb    333 for the 1

I have 2x nvidia  msi 1070 itx 8gb            444 each

usa free shipping  and I will consider lower prices  if you buy multiple cards
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.19964378

when vega vs 1080 ti  hash king  is determined I will be able to buy them.

i have 4.5 coins ready  and 3k cash

if I do sale above I will be at 5 coins and 3k cash.  It could be 25 1080 ti's or 16 vega's

It's the 1080Ti's you should be selling.
Those cards pull too much power and are to expensive to make under 5$/day.
Not viable anymore.

your math is a fail.

I do not agree. The 1080Ti is more efficient than the other cards.

For a lot of uses, the GTX 1080ti is the most efficient option, both on a hash/watt basis AND on a hash/$ basis at the system level - ESPECIALLY AT RECENT PRICING.

Even at 2 month ago pricing, there is a lot of usage where the GTX 1080 ti is very close to the 1080 and 1070 on a hash/$ basis.

Best to sell off the "bloated pricing" cards while the pricing IS bloated, IMO.

the lower tier vegas will cost no more than $500-$700 , and just have less mem and a few less cores and probably same bandwith as the 16GB ones

The "performance crown" for MOST folks is gaming, not mining - that's the market NVidia and AMD are going to be primarily looking at when they decide on pricing for their cards.

There's another kicker in the deck though, the rumours about a "GTX 2xxx" refresh of the 1xxx line, but that apparently isn't happening real soon.

I'd wait vega, i have a feeling nvidia might reduce 1080 ti's price a bit.
Only if Vega out performs the 1080 Ti which I doubt it will. No reason for NVIDIA to reduce the price on the 1080 Ti if it still holds the performance crown.
