I'd just like to update and am happy to say my $6000 came through in the end.
Both withdraw and deposit work fine, but just suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper slow...

Think about a massive security breach through a phishing attempt from the Bitstamp POV. If it's a good phishing scheme, hundreds of users would probably fall for it (maybe even thousands? who knows), especially during these fragile times. So, instead of dealing with lost BTC and the PR nightmare, why not restrict all movement and one by one reinstate accounts after each user has had a moment to take a look at their computers and change their passwords.
Seems like a much safer alternative that makes things a lot easier for both sides.

Just a precaution. Better this than they get gox 2011. So far so good with stamp.....

Either no one checks their email, or you initially registered with your bogus email (which I know many of us do) and you're not getting their messages. Whichever it may be, here's the email that was sent out to all accounts that ran into this security measure:

When I goto the withdrawal section I see no problems with any of their withdrawal methods though.

Just did a test BTC withdraw.
Email lagged on coming in the first time. So I cancelled and redid it and the email came in fast and got sent out shortly thereafter.
