Thanks for the new innovations,I believe it will be for the good of the community.I am yet to fully grasp the implication of it all,especially fMerits.Rewarding politeness is a greta idea to,we should all learn to respect other peoples's opinion even when they differ from ours.
Great new update, we really needed it. Finally everything is easy to understand even for newbies. But still it is much too easy to rank up, we should have more categories and at least one of them should be about contributing meaningful code update to important project. Of course for now only BTC could be considered as important project with plans to accept ETH contributions in next 5 to 10 years.

Very nice to see the April 1st the fool's day post and lot of fun and I really enjoyed while reading it. If it is true then I don't thing people who are monitoring such things are really great and hats off for them. Well my wish and expectation is some thing little more easy and helpful also not much complicated. We came here for tension free additional income in our comfort time. But it is now getting more complicated. That's what I feel.
If you go to your profile, there will be not new stats. Only activity, posts, merit. This proves that new new rank system is a 1 april joke.
I suggest to add a Health & Stamina bar as well, then this new system seems pretty much perfect to me.
all I have to say is , thank you Sir theymos for the new rank implementation I think this system is great it got back the power to the forum it self and not in the hand of the wrong people who abuse the merit for their own selfish reasons I am talking about some people here, not all members ,still trying to understand the new system but I like it whatever the outcome is
This is a lot more confusing than the merit system but this would point out what you are lacking to post and what to post more to improve. Im just wondering how that endless image/GIF would generate. Ranking up is now harder than ever.
I do not understand much about this new arrangement. Who can tell me if I want to become a member, I have to achieve something on .merit, politeness, fmerit, imagination, virtue, coins, karma. How do you get new rankings?
It's quite simple actually.
Every post that you make on a Thursday is run through an algorithm, which may assign you some 'imagination'. Any imagination you gain is then checked against all posts that you made in the preceding 6 days. If there is a high degree of uniqueness - i.e., you are not repeating the same posts, then this gives you some 'virtue' points.
'Politeness' is granted for every post, but then reduced if you have used swear words, bold font or CAPS. Use of exclamation marks is kind of a grey area.
'Fmerit' is short for 'f***ing merit' - you gain or lose points here depending on whether or not you make posts complaining about the merit system.
'Coins' is a complex calculation based on the total coins you hold in all of your crypto wallets, and when you bought them. Yes, even those coins that are supposed to be anonymous.
'Karma' scans your soul and awards points based on your thoughts and behaviour. I'm kind of confused about how they get the scores for this. It might depend on whether or not you have a webcam.
It is a bit unfortunate that this new system came out on April 1st, as some people might mistakenly consider it a joke.
This post quotes my previous post, so I lose some 'imagination'. However I gain 'karma' because I am helping to explain.
Also the line below increases my 'politeness', but also reduces my 'karma' because I am in effect gaming the system.

Yes there must be time to implement this system, I think it will make things fairer and there will be a new indicator that can determine the quality of an account. This change will make everything present today turn into more weight and quality. Hopefully with this existence then everyone will be more motivated to do things much better. At first, I'm sure that people will really get confused by how this works, but if we try to understand what is the purpose and the goal of this new requirement. Just like Merit, time will pass and we will be able to understand it.
