That is a very optimistic scenario.  Especially when you take into consideration the fact that the pool has covered only 0.044592% of the entire range.  In reality if you have fast GPU(s) you could join the pool and mine with us for the weeks/months that it is going to take and then when it is found you would be getting a very sizable chunk of the $6000 pie.  If you don't have fast gpus then you have no place to complain because you aren't going to find it alone either making your slice of the pie zero.

The chances of finding it immediately after joining is extremely low at this point. It is possible but unlikely.

The pool is still in the beginning and now like anything just getting started is the best time to get on board to secure your slice of the pie.

I like to think I did not create the pool to get a bigger slice of the pie.  I did it to cook the pie faster.  That being said my slice gets smaller with every new range submitted by another user.

Give it a try and you will see that.

Ok. But explain to me why, when I start your client I have 2 targets, respectively two BTC addresses, at each scanned range. One is for #64 but the other for what? For your database?
Be fair, man!
I'll tell you what you do with the database created with the help of the contributors. You will have access to those addresses and if ever they are used you will steal from those wallets everything. This is the truth, no matter what you say and how many bullshit say about your pool.

paste your pubkey

I have imported 27,000 completed ranges into the pool DB.  I did it in such a way as to not affect any ones current stake.  It will just increase our chances of finding the solution a little sooner.

Very nice this will help us not scanning these already scanned ranges again  Wink

great work

Since the size of the range have now reached a pretty significant size, im very happy that @ttdclient have made a pool client, that seems to work pretty well, i've only had 2 minor issues so far.
I've scanned ranges for the last couple of months, without any luck - I believe my chances of getting a slice of the BTC reward is much greater teaming up with this pool, so i will def. keep scanning with the pool client.

I believe @ttdclient must have been scanning ranges for his own pool for at least 4 weeks due to the number of ranges he have scanned - together with that he have made the pool client that enables us to keep track of scanned ranges and team up with our GPU hash power, it's more than fair his scan record still counts.

Still we could be scanning for weeks if not months before anyone finds the target

I added the current amount you will get paid to top 10 list if solution is found.  Takes into account the real time value of bitcoin.

So if I find today the private key for puzzle # 64 (worth $ 5912), with your client software "stuck in my ribs", you keep $ 5500 and I will be rewarded with fabulous sum of $ 0.4. You're very smart, but not enough for me. You want to reinvent slavery?

i think(thats only mu thought and decisions), that bitcrack is rather stupid, because you don't know where and what are you doing.. in fact you all time bit a rock...but it's only my thought,  what you gone do in range 12873562336973246598716213543 - 48975348027768076943679-84769847698 ?

I think bitcrack is not a tool for all time work, bytheway while you checking 1mlrd addresses you can loose another one with balance

no one is forcing you to solve this challenge with bitcrack, but since the creator of this challenge intentionally made these wallets with increased difficulty, they are still possible to solve... and bitcrack gives you a tool for this, if you have a GPU not too old.

i don't know how you think you will stumple upon a hex value for another wallet not knowing anything about what to search for? the difficulty for a "normal" BTC address outside of this challenge is just on another level, which it also should be, otherwise the value of BTC would be zero.

The developer of the puzzle gave Yu a hint how to solve the puzzle 64

The creator of this challenge have given zero hints, the only actual statement is this:

I am the creator.

You are quite right, 161-256 are silly.  I honestly just did not think of this.  What is especially embarrassing, is this did not occur to me once, in two years.  By way of excuse, I was not really thinking much about the puzzle at all.

I will make up for two years of stupidity.  I will spend from 161-256 to the unsolved parts, as you suggest.  In addition, I intend to add further funds.  My aim is to boost the density by a factor of 10, from 0.001*length(key) to 0.01*length(key).  Probably in the next few weeks.  At any rate, when I next have an extended period of quiet and calm, to construct the new transaction carefully.

A few words about the puzzle.  There is no pattern.  It is just consecutive keys from a deterministic wallet (masked with leading 000...0001 to set difficulty).  It is simply a crude measuring instrument, of the cracking strength of the community.

Finally, I wish to express appreciation of the efforts of all developers of new cracking tools and technology.  The "large bitcoin collider" is especially innovative and interesting!

The second target is used for proof of work.  The private key that is found when scanning the range is used to find the range marker in the DB to mark it checked.
They are located at random locations throughout the individual ranges.

Thanks for the explanation, makes sense  Smiley

I do not right now but I would like to create one.  I have linux available to me but not with gpus.  So I would be interested in working with someone to test.

Client is written in c# and there are options to compile for linux but have never tried it.

@ttdclient

Just started using your client, it works out of the box...
could you please tell a bit more about that second target there is on every run? is this somekind of measurement ?

very cool piece of software, you are skilled...
i will give this a try and support your pool  Smiley

EDIT: i have scanned over 11k ranges on wallet 64 since wallet 62 was found, i have all this data in .txt files saved by bitcrack, would this be possible for you to import this, no need to scan those ranges again
