The problem with some of these machines are the high fees they add to the whole process. Bitcoin was meant to be a alternative P2P payment

option over cash and with all these third party services adding fees to it.... it is getting prohibitively expensive and not suitable as a alternative

anymore. The scaling problems and the constant spam attacks are not helping at all...  Angry Angry

I heard there was a spike in 2014/2015, haven't heard much about it in the news recently.
Yes indeed, there was many new BTC cash machines created in 2014 and 2015, but we are talking about past now.
From that time, there are still new being created, and we can see more of them showing up in the public places.
It still depends in which country and city you are, but I think that there should be at least one bitcoin ATM in your region.

But to be honest, im not using such a service because maybe it is comfortable but i need pay a fee even up to 7-8%.
That is why I just prefer to sell my BTC on some kind of exchange, where I get bank transfer on my account. The commision is greatly lower.

ya it is true that withdrawing cash from bitcoin ATM machine are costlier then converting the bitcoin to fiat currency and using it, apart from that if i am not wrong only most of the Euro country are having the Bitcoin ATM  machines. So their is not such demand in 2016 or 2017.

The ATH prior to what we have right now happened on Nov 2013, and what do you mean by cash machines? Bitcoin ATMs or do you use it figuratively to describe bitcoins? Because id you're talking about the latter, what happened is FOMO; people simultaneously throwing money in hopes of getting it big.

If you mean bitcoin ATMs I think yes, they are becoming more popular and more are being created, at least I tend to see news from new bitcoin ATMs. There is a website where you can check the bitcoin ATMs in the world and you can even do a ranking by countries https://coinatmradar.com/
