I think electronic  cars will not totally affect the oil industries.Like in our country today there's a lot of gasoline car's and I was one of them. However if the government will ban oil car's that's the time oil industries are affected.

Yes, because no need to use oil for the cars we have. Hopefully this project will be a success so that we can protect our mother earth from damaging because of air pollution. And so that the oil companies can't dominate the market by manilulating the prizes of oils.

Electric cars are a threat to oil industry or oil companies because it may affect their business some countries may lessen their consumption of oil because of this electric cars and so this may affect the manufacturers of oil.

So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?

If it is ordered by the government and be mandatory to use electric cars, oil companies will probably closed.

I can imagine that the decreasing demand for fuel due to upcoming electric cars is something the oil industry sees with sorrow. At the moment I think there are still too few e-cars so the influence on the company will not be very big. But in a few years that will be different. Right now the biggest problem of the oil companies is the competitive situation. There is OPEC, Russia and the US shale oil industry. All pumping up oil nearly as much as they can. That reduces the price.

not bad for me because electric cars are very affordable to reduce pollution in this modern era. because we have to guard the earth and from pollution that is already destroying the earth. even if we use electric transportation cars there is still the possibility of using oil to have electricity, but it's good because it saves electricity and uses it a bit.

I think  yes  electric cars are still an expensive technology and most countries in the world aren't rich enough to adopt them on a wide scale . For the oil industry it is yes but for the whole world then no.

It is posible they want to reduce the polution and want a eco-friendly ways to the thing about transportation it is bad for the oil industry but its a long time run to aprove it because they have to study how to improve high powered car that use electricity therefore many speculation to that in the near future we dont need oil because we have to use a friendly ways to transport and reduce population for better life.

It is time to stop discussing whether electric cars are good or bad. Instead industry, authorities and policy-makers need to work together to make them as eco-friendly as possible. This is the view taken by Anders Nordelöf, a researcher at Chalmers University of Technology. In a recent thesis, he provides concrete advice and tools showing how life cycle assessment can assist in the development of electric cars.

I think it's near future though and it can happen sooner or later for now is their still developing electric cars , and still cars used by gasoline is commonly used though , so technically still a lot of people using cars that powered by gasoline. And on the other hand if this would come I think all the workers on the oil industry will leave I guess then change job.

Yes it is but it is not much affect them because they now that many people are more needed the oil to run their cars that are too many now also right here in my country many cars are buy by people who are not willing to commute to their job to work and if I the electric cars are gonna be legal they must register it to the LTO to now their right place.

I Think no it can cost trouble in the way that it would not be famous or just some people will use it , cause many cars still powered by gasoline and the electric cars is non profitable and still developing. So definitely it would not be a big trouble though.

demand for fuel oil (BBM), will go down in line with the increasing number of electric cars that will be produced. plus, as more and more countries are banning conventional car sales over the next few years.
if an electric vehicle is able to occupy one-third of the market by 2040, it could lead to a decrease in fuel demand by 9 million barrels per day, or about 90 percent of Saudi Arabia's production every day.
One thing that questioned to my mind what if these oil industry is danger in the coming years to its supply. To think that year 2040 is 20+ years ahead from now and i might be saying that in my own mind i am thinking that there is a flying cars already that was invented. Its more needed to save some oils for other use than supplying it all into the cars.

As for now, I think the presence of electric vehicles will not be a great threat for the oil industry because only a few electric vehicles are being produced added by the fact that many people tend to use vehicles that uses oil because electric vehicles are time consuming when it comes to charging although there are solar panels but still oil generated vehicles can do a lot of works compared to electricity generated vehicles so it is not that much threat for the oil industry on the other hand of it, I am thinking that those two features will be fused as one so that when a vehicle runs out of oil, it will still function because it has a feature of being electrically powered to still start working even without oil.

Yes, some other countries are engaging in electric cars because electricity is more cheaper than oil. Oil become more expensive day by day and sometimes no enough supply.
Hopefully those electric cars will be use wordwide to minimize the pollution that damage our mother and our health.

Actually the ditribution for oil will just be redistributed in electric companies.
We know that to be able to make electricity work, we will be needinh fuel as well.
Since there will be more energy consumption, then it is just automatic that the market of oip industry will focus on electric companies.

No, because electricity on most of the country is generated with the used of oil which means it is not a bad thing to have electric vehicle market to trend up or to experience development. And I can see that it is much good to used electric vehicles now or in the near future for us to sustain the world and to have a environment that is less prone to have golbal warming.

Of course they are, oil industries will need to adapt and spend large amounts of money to keep up with their electric competition.
