I think ICO still alive, but it is hard to earn money from ICO because so many ICO is awaiting the rise again without knowing when it will happen. Many people still waiting, and some of them desperate to know that their token is not worth at all after they work as participants to help the project reach their goals. I think the era of ICO has ended and now we see a new program called IEO which already launch in many exchanges but for how to take the profit from the project, it still not clear and we still need to research which project that could help us to gain the profit.

You are talking as if ICOs and IEOs were two absolutely different things when the second is an evolution of the first, the same with STOs, and I guess new models will keep on appearing in the future. What is true is that the IEO model is the most popular right now.

Many projects have been successfully launched through ICO.
Like what? Can you link me to a few of them? Not even 1% of the ICO's actually turn their idea beyond the whitepaper and funding. The work is forever in development and it does hit the exchanges but never solve a problem the product was intended to solve.

Because recently many projects have been scams resulting from unclear funding management that made people no longer trust the ICO and they turned to the IEO. But in my opinion ICO will still run well if their funding management is clear, or a trusted team.
I hope they die.

Nothing in the market has changed. Just a new model for investing. I think until they eradicate fraudsters in the cryptocurrency world there will be many changes. But these are all derivatives of ICO.

In my opinion, ICOs just follow market's footstep. When market bear runs, ICOs are down obviously. When the market gets better they emerge, under tradditional ICO, IEO or STO form. There's a fact that even when ICO trend is silent, there's still some good coin, like Cosmos. I got a feeling that ICOs will be booming at the 2019's second half.

ICO is not entirely dead because there are still a number of ICOs that can achieve success if everyone is still afraid of ICO investment and see a lot of ICO scams that they say if the ICO is dead

I think the ICO is likely half Dead because Many projects mainly moved into IEO
as you know that many IEO reach their target compared to when they held an ICO

Not really. Even though we are aware that there are many ICOs that are not successful either during the token sales process or afterward. Many ICOs eventually die before developing. Many coins from the new ICO are then very dropped and worthless. However, it is too soon to state that ICO is dead. Some ICOs are still trusted and able to produce coins that promising.

Cheesy I am not an investor. I am a hunter. I have no difference what type of project to advertise. I just bummed the finished product. Even if the project collects money to us, no one can guarantee that they will not turn into Shitcoin tomorrow.

I shift my signature campaign to gambling site which is more profitable because I don't believe in ICO anymore it's just not worth it anymore 5 months doing bounty, 3 months of waiting then no value in the market that's just in an average bounty, what more can we do now.
You're lucky to have a hero rank. Wearing a gambling or mixer signature brings you a stable income and more importantly it keeps you safe from being tagged or unpaid for wearing a scam's signature. I really want that kind of campaign but unfortunately they don't accept low ranked members.

Things evolve, IEOs to me a fine-tuned ICOs. All gearing towards same aim but the former (IEOs) are better than ICOs because investors are sure of listing and also confident that the team ain't scam. ICOs are not dead, they just evolved, although some folks still  carry out token sales via ICOs. I also noticed some projects which did ICOs and failed went to exchanges for IEO.

Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

It is from your ideas of regulation that global problems will arise in the world of cryptocurrency. I am more than confident that the popularity of cryptocurrency will fall as soon as it is obsalyutno regulated.

not completely but they are getting there. the problem was never about scams or their name to fix it by changing it to IEOs. the problem was that people were "investing" in these tokens to make profit, then the result was that each and every token that was created turned out to be a complete shitcoin and crashed and burned so they lost money instead of making profit in most cases and in all cases when it came to longer term (more than 2 or 3 months) the result was a big dump. as a result everyone started giving up on the illusion of profit making from token sale and started seeing the truth of it which was "fund raising for the developer and them being the winners only".

There's still a lot of ICO that introduced in this forum site day by day but we cannot know who's project are legit because a lot of them are turning to scam and because of being popularity of IEO most project that comes from ICO are being dead or have no value in the market, but still few of them are still chances to bring good profit.

Well i don't think are dead, the only problem is that the people are not anymore invest on ICOs and this is why people have impression they are dead, but i think on future they will be replaced by IEOs.
IEO offers investors safety and that's why people believe in more IEO projects. In recent times, people feel very depressed with new ICO projects because all ICOs are often scam. I think this is the right time to change and we should only choose good IEO projects to invest because it helps investors to liquidate after being listed and we can earn more profitable. Of course there will still be big risk but if we have an intelligent IEO investment strategy, everything will be fine.

It was said more than one million times, that ICOs are not dead. Their market depends on the main crypto situation and when we are going to recover the prices from December 2017, there would be more ICOs than you can imagine.

It's too early to tell ICOs are dead. After the IEOs started to come to life, ICOs started to come out of our lives slowly.

However, I know the projects that have been successful by making hardcap 2-3 months ago. Therefore, the ICOs did not die. It is also basically the same as the ICO with the thing with the name IEO.
