As time goes by, especially when prices are dropping everywhere, it is indeed very difficult to say that NFT is still worth it for now.
They grow because the hype is indeed very fast in its pace but on the other hand this fast hype stops quickly.
I haven't even seen a good NFT project for a few months this week.

NFT have gained huge attention during their hype and bull market but in this bearish time, it seems we seeing them down as the entire market has been down as well. And even from that, I'd never see these NFT projects would last for a long time - projects built in hypes couldn't make it, that is really impossible.

Thus, if you are investing them OP, you've to be prepared about losing your money then, or much better not to choose them.
Just as expected on every trend and hype on the market that when bear market comes then everything would be dragged down and even on a hyping market then we know that things that do get much

hype isnt sustainable or something that cant really be seen in terms or utility or potential then i dont really see any projects or trend that would sustain for long term or something which isnt worth
to be included into your portfolio.

Ive seen some sites do give out some free drops of NFT's which i dont see for it to be bad for someone to engage on as long you arent pouring too much money on it
then i do see the risk is way too less for someone to get a hold of.

I see lots of NFT companies are doing their best to attract investors at their early stage by giving them low prices and for me, it's just too much risk unless it came from known developers Facebook, or other trusted sources. But when I got some offers from random NFT groups, I won't consider it profit because NFT can also get hype first and after that, no one cares about the NFT you current holding anymore because it's just for that day to sold high and you fell for it. Random NFTs are not something that you can put your money on because nowadays to create one those are pretty easy except for the legit ones.

excluding few cases in the most majority you are buying just "blockchain trash".
I think there is a rule in collecting items. the real value is not what are you paying but what other people will pay for that item.
something similar happens with "first tweet" . payed milions of dollars now it's something worthless. Only few NFT have been a real bargain offer. Others have been just a waste of time and resources.

NFT drops are not profitable at all if you ask me and I would also say that it is a complete waste of time. If you want to join in the hype of NFTs then better join an NFT projects that are already successful in their goal like axie infinity and more. You should also be specific on what kind of NFT are you planning to own?. To tell you honestly, I haven't heard much or read from somewhere else about NFTs and what I mostly noticed are existing NFT projects. Not sure if the hype of NFT is still the same as before. As what other people said, NFT hype has an ending the same as the ICO trend before.

I have been seeing a lot of NFT drops on Twitter and I don't see that trend talked about on this forum.

There are threads that talk about NFT and airdrop but many users here just ignore them since many of these airdrops are worthless.  Sometimes they are used to phish information so others avoid it.

Have any of you had luck flipping NFTs or claiming NFT drops?

No, I avoid NFT flipping or claiming NFT drops.  I am one of those people who are not fond with NFTs.

Are the NFTs you collect art based only or also utility based NFTs like the NFT drop from MAXX Finance? Although it can be harder to sell NFTs in some cases (because there is no liquidity), the plus side is that you don't have to worry about which exchange you can sell your airdrop on (as is the case with token drops), you just sell them on major NFT marketplaces like OpenSea. I think this must be profitable for some people as you see NFT punks and apes trading for millions of dollars. What am I missing here and how do I get in on this trend?

I don't know if those sells in millions are real trades, many use white trading to make their brand popular or create hype in the market.

The best NFT drops I've ever been involved in have been from interactions with some kind of lauchpads or early investments, test-networks, and similar events. Sometimes NFT drops brought in very good profits, but that was 2021. NFT drops on Twitter are 99% garbage, just like the whole NFT industry. OpenSea supports all this garbage and gets its interest from it, and the fact that the tokens traded on this site have no value either in terms of art or in terms of cryptocurrency, they don't really care.

No. Most are trash.
Are we talking about art NFT here or Gaming NFT's?
Because the gaming NFT's are just for startup. It won't do you any good in game as they are just given for free. Some of them also has an expiration and you need to accumulate in game money to buy a new NFT which takes off what should've been a profit. Then, it becomes a cycle.
So, unless you buy an NFT that has an infinite life then you will just keep on playing without making anything or lesser than those who spend cash.

This is why I am asking. I spend most of my time here and I see a lot of talk about cryptos but not much talk about NFTs. Meanwhile there are people making millions of dollars flipping NFTs. Maybe this board needs an NFT section so people can discuss money making opportunities, new collections like bored apes, utility NFTs like MAXX or Uniswap v3 NFTs, soulbound NFTs, GameFi NFTs etc. There are a lot of topics that can be covered. I missed the last NFT run but I'm not going to miss the next one.
Not that long ago there was still a massive amount of interest in NFTs and people were hyped about any opportunity they could get to talk about the subject, but since then many people have lost so much money and then the bear market appeared that I think it is natural people are nowhere near as excited about them anymore.

Now if you can obtain profits with NFTs then you can buy a few if you want, but I doubt many people will share the same enthusiasm, as they are not going to suddenly forget about all the money they have lost just because there are still a few people out there which can still profit from NFTs.

Well I am not sure if that still happens, but back then I used to find airdrops in here. I am not sure if NFT airdrops do exist in here since I do not bother doing that anyway after I was scammed and almost got my wallet hacked.
Not sure if those NFT airdrops in Twitter are worth the risk, but hey it is social media site, you never know.

If you got early into NFT than indeed you could have made a lot of money, but this is valid for a lot of things. I have the same feeling as Jossiel that the hype for NFT is going away but I am pretty sure that a new hype will pop up soon.

As of today, NFTs are dropping their value and it is much worth it to buy an altcoin for a long-term holding. I don't know if the NFTs era is ending like the Axie Infinity, less player and investor which for sure the value will not reach it's ATH or their value will go much dipper.

I think we don't need a special board regarding NFT, because NFT itself is an Altcoin (Token other than Bitcoin). This isn't to say that NFT isn't discussed here, people here also discuss NFT related matters (although not on a regular basis).

Some examples:
1. Axie Infinity's NFT volume is up 205%, the project co-founder says 'nature is he New
2. Meta (facebook) launches NFT display options on Facebook.
3. Are NFT Tokens a Good Long Term Investments?
4. Everything you need to know about NFTs tokens

For special discussion about NFT, I suggest you to join Reddit, you can find a special discussion about NFT there mate @RussiaUkraineTranslation Wink

Still there's the hype for the NFTs?

I thought that they've been gone since the bear market has entered and despite that they've got a really nice year last year, it's no longer that ideal to invest with those.

As you've said, there's no longer liquidity on it so it means that there's no interest on it. No one shall stop you from collecting those NFTs that you're seeing but if you want to see its worth by selling it then there's no liquidity, that's nothing.

This is Bitcointalk forum, so it's make sense why many people in this forum didn't interested in other coins beside Bitcoin, if you visit altcointalks maybe you have better experience with NFT and other tokens.

NFT and other hype tokens is just a hype where you can get rich overnight or rekt overnight, it depend your luck how you're lucky or not. If you get bad NFT and no one interested with your NFT, then you expect to not get anything.
