I prefer to be a lone bettor and go with the team or player I think that will win. Being a competitive gambler means you have a bigger bankroll to put in gambling and I can't afford to do that at my current position. It also needs extra dedication because being a competitive one means you are into profit. Being a lone bettor is more suited for small-time gamblers like me, it is less frustrating when you don't win.
Gambling is actually for fun but if we take it as competitive then it is going to be a serious job ao you need to be ready to accept all the risks and keep going on. And also you need more money when want to be a competitive Gambler because the opponents are going to be lot experienced so it narrows your winning chances.

Participating on gambling competition for having fun is possible to do, like what I usually do in some gambling contest. As long as I know that the contest is not wagering contest, I'll be very happy to participate especially if the rules is not that hard. These days, I cant believe that gamblers do gambling for entertainment purpose only. I believe most people gambling for money and the fun is just a small part of what they do while risking money.
Me I'm not really a competitive one. Because for me the pressure of thinking about the rankings in such tournaments will make me do some decisions I would not normally do when I am betting solely on myself that may cause me some trouble if it didn't play out well.
That's what happened to me after participating in a few betting tournaments here, in the past I enjoyed betting without any pressure or calculations and I only made bets that I really liked. But after joining the competition I should at least be more knowledgeable in making bets than the many sports available. Ultimately, I like competitions like that because yes, it can make my fun and challenges increase but not about my style of betting, because when I join the competition I have to completely change the way I bet. It's like getting out of my comfort zone, but I like the challenge.

That should be the goal of most bettors. So they will not incur debts or anything of that sort. However, you can't expect that gamblers will be like that. A lot of them are after for their potential winnings and going to the extent of borrowing money from someone. On my end, I am a lone bettor myself as I only bet for the matches that I am rooting for. Not a big timer, and not really putting a lot of money in gambling.

Having fun is one of the main motives on why you do play gambling.It doesnt matter if you do make out solo bets or going with team or whatsoever as long you do enjoy and you do find on what you seek for then thats the most important thing.People are way different into things so expect that there would really be different selections in regards to this but overall no one could really sue you out or stop

In my case then im a bit versatile because betting habit could be either lone or competitive if i do see those chances or opportunities on which one should really be used on.
I stick to the original purpose of gambling which is for entertainment. I don't compete or even spend too much just to beat my opponent but I rather focus on my game until I feel entertained. I would rather enjoy and feel the excitement of each bet than focusing on defeating others.

Yeah, that is the reality, whenever we have seen someone who also does what we are doing then it triggers us to do it better because we want them to beat and that is the character of being competitive, it is not bad just like some others think, you just want to get the reward upon reaching the highest or become the top.If other bettors are also competitive, it makes me as well compete more and it excites me a lot.
It would excite you more if you have that characteristic, being competitive and wanting to prove to yourself that you have that good skill and knowledge to win over the other.

not all gamblers are like that, there are gamblers who want to play discreetly and go after.
This type of gamblers who doesn't like any interactions to anyone but with the house alone, they are comfortable playing and they also enjoy doing things with no interacting with another gambler.
I love competitions but I am feeling ok even while playing alone. In the past I have taken part in a series of competitions hosted by direct bets and I have also win a couple! Indeed there is a lot of time and effort required for a good result. High payout/prizes, competitors and generally not easy tasks give a special emotion for that competitions. I have not participated anymore in other games since then, I don't know if anyone will launch a nice tournament like these.

In past times when there wasn't crypto currency, the lone bettor possibility didn't exist for many gamblers. Without crypto gambling sites we had to compete with other people in real life, betting in sports results through fiat currency. But now I don't see this necessity anymore. A gambler can play from anywhere, alone, since he has an internet connection and with the advantage of having more balanced odds regard sports betting.

You don't want to ask your friends to place bets for you. I mean unless they are someone who is very chill with you, you should never tell anyone else to do it on your behalf. What if you lose big? Your "friend" is going to feel guilty or you will end up blaming him. What if you win big? You "friend" might think he deserve the win. As long as some sort of argument was made even if you were friends, that should count as something like a competition, just that maybe it's a bit more on the lighter side since you're playing with your friends. Even with strangers, it should still count. As long as someone isn't an extreme introvert, I'm pretty sure communication would easily be established, even if you guys are people who just met for the first time. Plus, having someone to talk to about the events that happen can easily open up to some new views that you may actually gain enlightenment on.

Totally agree. Mixing family and friendship with money (including gambling, crypto, borrowing etc) is a good recipe to ruin your relationships.
I think asking them to help you buy a number ticket for a few cents or a lottery ticket that they can pass to you when they are home (like if they're going to the shops) is okay and I do it all the time.
But to ask them to take money and bet for you? Utterly ridiculous. Don't ruin your friendship:)
Haven't gambled for a while since I am busy reading news and updates about crypto and not to mention my day job. I guess if you are a regular gambler especially in sports betting your winning odds matters and if you are really competitive in joining competitions which most gambling site has this kind of feature. I was able to win once but I was not aware that I was able to be on the top bettor when I played the whole day, the prize for such competition is also a good additional income.

I do not get how it could be separated, I am sort of both of these and I still think they are both possible. For example I do join competitions, but I do not really talk to anyone or chat with anyone or make friends, so that means I am alone, and that should make me a lone bettor, yes I do bet against others as well, I do play poker too which is even more competitive if you think about it compared to just some games, but at the end of the day I do not chat with people so why would it mean that I can be either lone bettor OR a competitive one, can't I be both?The way I bet is both lone and competitive so I think I would be perfectly matching both and I disagree anyone that says that joining games with others would mean that I am not alone, those are just some nicknames that I see and not people for me, might as well be NPC by the casino all I care.
