it is a choice I think because even though we are not part of any competition but if we are aware of the existence of many other bettors who are also betting on the same event, then indirectly it will also make us more aware to remain more selective in the bets we make to be the best
I agree with this since I am now more of a selective when gambling since being competitive is a kind of full time gambler. I'm sure not everyone is as competitive just like the others but we just chose to be this way because it's more like of a hobby or pastime to enjoy.

I myself chose to be a lone bettor because it's more convenient than having someone with you all the time because sometimes it's frustrating to have some company with you when playing. But it still depends on every person it's just that this is my way of playing gambling.

I'm also a lone bettor. But I had a lot of discussions here regarding the sports that I usually bet and there are some agreements and disagreements and I would say it's a good and competitive one.

I think every gambler is competitive per se, trying to prove that he/she is more knowledge of that particular sports. But there could be some who rather move in the background and silently bet and doesn't rub it it when he/she won.
People does have different behavior on things that they do involved into. Some would really be just some humble type of much more preferred on betting alone and make up some wins
but still havent really show off that he do win up and somewhat be boastful on what he had achieved or commited. There are people which on the the opposite side where
they are really showing off that they are really much better among any other else once they had able to hit some pot.Regards on the question of being a loan bettor or competitive one
then i do see myself on the loner side.

I think that this is the right ratio, playing some sort of competition is good. I don't really know if there is any difference between the two though as in both betting type, you aim to win a lot more than lose. Personally, I am a lone bettor but that was a long time ago when I was still spending most of my day gambling.
There's a difference between the two, when you participate contests you're less pressured to make mistakes since these contests could go on for months and they don't cost that much (sometimes there's free entry) unlike betting where you're forced to deposit the minimum on certain sites. Both of them have good and bad sides but it depends on what you prefer since there will be good times to participate contests and once a week you gather up with the other participants and have a nice small discussion with the predictions you've made.

acener, the pandemic is indeed a hard time to be close to other people. However, there are always some online tournaments which can allow competing with one another even during these times.
Saint-loup, it's a prize pool competition, so there was an entry fee, and then all these fees are added to the prize pool. Back when it started, it was about $45 to enter, and top-10 (1/4 of all participants) are getting winnings from the prize pool (starting at double the initial stake and moving up).
danherbias07, yeah, it's very hard to keep track of everything without people signing up, but some competitions have very few restrictions and conditions.

I don't join such tournaments as I don't have good analytical skills and very often make mistakes when choosing a winner. To be honest, I just don't want to be at the bottom of the tournament list, so I prefer to use single bets.
Once it happened with my gambling activity. When I started to gamble, a competition has begun. So it made me on the second position when I finished my gambling for the day. This further made me to wait for that respective competition and spend on gambling. Later on what happened is loss, but I used to win at some competitions.

I think i'm somewhere in between as I place bets regularly and still join contests or tournaments whenever i'm interested in them like the NFL survivor pools, tipster competitions  and the previous multimaster from sportsbet. If I have to choose one i'd probably put myself in the lone bettor side for now since I haven't participated in any tournaments or competitions recently and the biggest tournament i've joined was last year's nfl survivor pool.

I used to avoid competitions and preferred to just place my own bets on sports to see how it goes. I was glad to win and sad to lose, and it was between me and sports. In autumn, however, I entered a Sportsbet EPL prediction competition, and after months of it going on, I must say that I do find it engaging when various people make predictions for the same games, and then I can see how other people are making their decisions and how they are performing as well. At first, I thought I had no chance there, but I'm currently lucky to be in top-10, so now I do care about remaining there Smiley

Do you prefer being on your own with your matches and bets or do you like to take part in various tournament to boost the competitive spirit of it all?
There is no much better way to gamble but to be Loner , no pressure and no destructions .

But sometimes competition gives us more confident and attract positivity in our gambling life so best to do Both depend on your desire and depend on your Mood.

I am usually a lone bettor. But I've had my fair share of betting competitions before. Right now, I'm completely satisfied with a small bet placed every once in a while. No pressure betting, in other words.

If I'm not mistaken, the last time I joined a betting competition was when Sportsbet offered a price to the top 10 users who had the longest consecutive wins. That was weekly. I landed on the top 10 for the first few days but then I always fell as the week wraps up. There was pressure and I ended up betting more than I normally do at that time.

I'm a lone bettor but I am not a lonely guy.  LOL Grin
If there's any competition I'd prefer the automatic type. Something like every bettor is a participant and doesn't need to sign up for anything.
The most won bets with high accuracy will earn the highest prize disregarding the bet amount of every player. (add more rules)
But I don't think that can happen in sports betting because of its broadness.
It will be a lot of work for the betting management side.

i can say, am a lone bettor these days. i just take care of my own business as we put it. at least, i have nothing to worry about with others' business. and also, it is like you are freelancing. you bet, when you want, how you want it. no strings attached.
but of course, there is fun when you are in a competitive zone. but right now, i do prefer to be on my own.

There are prices to win in your Sportsbet EPL prediction competition? Usually I prefer betting on my own without having to follow rules and any constraints but if the contest can add some interesting winning prizes, it can be a good opportunity.

I used to be a competative one back then whenever me and my friends are making bet and I really like how it is.
We could really know and learn some of their point of view why would they pick the team or fighter that they would bet on.
I only bet on the team or fighter that I know and it is good to have those kind of talk so you would learn more.
But due to pandemic we rarely hang out and talk about it we got busy on our own lifes.
