Wow. I didn't know it was that high. It's somehow tempting when you see that huge sum of money. Cheesy
I don't really bet on lotto and it had been decades since I last bought a ticket. Me and my wife like to play that easy game which is "Scratch it" where you can claim the prize instantly as long the card has the winning combination.
Anyway, I wish you good luck. Betting more doesn't really enhance the chance of winning in my opinion or I am just too pessimistic about this national game of ours. There's no one in my circle who likes betting on the national lottery anymore and I think that's also one of the reasons why I forget about this. Before, it was my grandfather who never forgot to make a bet but after he was gone, no one in the family ever tried to bet again.
It's one of the gambling games that I saw where a gambler could not even win in his entire life and my grandpa is an example of that. He just wasted money without having any chance to win. Not even the 5 numbers where you get a consolation prize. I think his highest was 4 numbers which is just enough to cover all his bets for the day.

Based on my observations back then when my father was still actively betting in lottery, he tends to bet for 2 number combination whenever he gets the news that the winning prize skyrocketed. One number combination included the numbers he is 'taking care of' which were our birth dates, and the other one just a random number combination which he felt like betting on. And that became his tradition way back which for me, is a waste of money, time, and effort since he'll always go to lottery ticketing shop after work which could be alloted for relaxing at home instead. But I can't really blame him and force him my beliefs since after all, it's his money, and he knows what he's doing.

Having numerous entries will certainly increase your winning chances, however, it will only do so little considering the number of combinations there is in order to win the jackpot prize. It's really just pure luck when it comes to lottery.

You don't need to take the risk of buying the ticket just because the prizes have increased to become bigger. That will only make people greedy, wanting the jackpot prize and buying more tickets than before because they want to be the jackpot winner. I wouldn't risk buying more tickets because the jackpot prize increased. The lottery game depends on luck so even if you buy many tickets, it doesn't guarantee you can win. It's better for us to buy enough tickets and avoid the risk of losing even more money because lottery games really depend on luck. But if you still want to buy the lottery ticket, you can do it. Hopefully, you will be the winner of the prize.

How about you as a Lotto bettor do you buy more tickets when the prize skyrocketed and how many more tickets are you adding

A lottery is a pure luck-based game and the chances of winning are very slim. Buying more tickets may somehow increase the chance but just a very small increase which you can't feel, at the end of the day, luck is what you need in order to win.

I haven't tried buying 5 tickets in a single draw as I'd stick to 1-2 tickets and I've been doing this for quite some time unfortunately, I was still unlucky. But might I try this to see what is the results? Doing this for a month is enough if see no difference from the usual thing I did, I quit.

1/55 vs 5/55 chances--I'm not sure if makes sense...

I sometimes do and why not if you believe that you can increase your chances, all tickets have a chance to hit the jackpot if you have more tickets your chances are better than those who have one, even if it's a game of chance. I just made sure that the money I used I'm comfortable to lose.
I only buy two tickets and that's on a particular day and it's always a lucky pick as I don't want to tie myself to numbers because that will make me addicted to betting.

According to the theory, the more lottery tickets a person buys, the more likely he is to win. But the actual results are different. I have repeatedly tried to buy the lottery but could not win any lottery. Even some of the people i see that they bought lots of lotteries but they didn't win the lotteries. Lottery is heavily associated with luck. So I think it's better rely on luck. But depending on the field, some are taking big risks. In any local lottery games, many people can try to win by buying more lotteries. But there is more chance of losing. I personally don't care about lotteries because they are not in my luck.

I remember when I was still at my 20s I regularly bought lottery tickets which cost around $0.18. The highest number of tickets that I've bought was only 5 pcs in one purchase. Until I came to realize of the probability to win are too slim that getting struck by a lightning has a higher chance than winning the lottery lol.
So, I totally gave up years ago already. I'm starting to even think that the winners are already being set by the authorities who run the lottery corporation. There are for sure some anomalies going around that corporation, but still unknown to everyone.
Protecting the winner's identity is a huge advantage for them.

In a 6-number combination out of 55 numbers, one ticket has 0.0000034% chances of winning.

And so when it comes to this kind of lottery, I don't buy a lot of tickets. If the probability of winning increases significantly in every other number combination that you bet on, then I will probably buy more tickets. But if another combination won't almost change my winning probability, which means my chance of winning will still be one of tens of millions, I'd rather not add more tickets.

This kind of lottery is a battle of pure luck. One lottery ticket is almost equal to 10 lottery tickets in terms of lucky chance.

Yeah, buying more tickets increases my chances of winning. That's the idea in my mind, if I have $10 USD then I'll split it into 10 tickets or 20 tickets. If $10 US dollars are used just to buy one ticket, it might increase the profits I get if I win, but the odds are smaller.

In my opinion, the lottery is the most difficult type of gambling to win, unless you are really lucky to get it. And the more lottery tickets I buy, the more I lose. And in my opinion, making analysis to produce good predictions on this type of gambling would only be a waste of our time. remember the possibility of winning is very small.

However, this type of gambling is very popular among the general public, many people place bets there and buy as many tickets as possible, considering that this is the cheapest type of gambling, so that someone can bet any amount. I personally have placed bets in this type of gambling, within two weeks I consistently bought 5 tickets every day... and of those two weeks, I was only able to win once and the amount was not much because I won in a combination of 2 number. And in my experience, this is the most boring type of gambling.

While the odds of winning the lottery are generally low, I prefer to view it as an opportunity to potentially improve my financial situation. I usually purchase at least one ticket and remain optimistic about the possibility of winning. After all, it only takes one lucky ticket to change one's life.

I don't bother getting more lottery tickets even when the jackpot skyrockets. The chances of winning are so slim that buying extra tickets doesn't really make a difference. I'm good with just one ticket; anything beyond that feels like throwing money away. I've tried my luck with those big jackpot draws, but my tickets haven't even come close to hitting the jackpot. It's all in good fun, but I'm not holding my breath for a big win anytime soon.

Yes, in order to improve our odds of winning, I as a bettor frequently purchase extra tickets. In that way maybe I can raise my chances of winning by buying more than one ticket, which increases the number of combinations I can make in the draw. Nonetheless, it's equally critical to temper your expectations because there is very little chance of success. Even if you bought more tickets, it still depends on luck. Lotteries are meant to be unpredictable and random, and players usually have stacked the odds against them. I think, people tried purchasing more tickets in an attempt to improve their chances of winning, but in the end, some of them were not successful upon reaching their goal. Purchasing more tickets may therefore somewhat raise the chances of winning or dramatically alter the overall probability. I also try buying more tickets to increase my chances of winning but in the end result, I didn’t win. And I’ve got so disappointed so yeah.  I guess I should not do it because what is the difference it can make? None. I’m just wasting my money of becoming delusional.

No, I'll just stick with the tickets that I usually buy and bet on the favorite numbers on lotto. Of course, the more tickets you buy the bigger your chances, but with lotto though your probability to win is slim. So if I will going to take my chances, then I will just go and buy my usual tickets, if I'm lucky regardless of how many tickets that we buy, even if it is just one ticket, you are going to win.

But maybe for those who have a lot of money, then maybe they will take that risk to buy more tickets to increase their chances.

Luck though plays a lot in this kind of games so it doesn't matter, in my opinion.

I think lottery is popular anywhere in the world. Well, it is not a surprise, but this is due to the massive jackpot prizes. It's not also a surprise on why the amounts are like that, but it is because their odds are crazily high, that winning on them is close to being impossible already. Every bettor's chances are I think not equal. You even said that you are buying more tickets only to increase your chances of winning.

But at the end, it'll still boils down to our luck. So even one ticket can still win if given a chance. I'm not a lotto addict but only my mom before. It's only sad that he never tried winning a slightly huge amount despite trying buying more than one ticket sometimes. So if ever I'm going to engage on it, I will definitely be good at one ticket per play Smiley.

Many tickets can increase your chances but will not still guarantee that you win the lotto. funny enough someone with one ticket can still win. Lotto to me feels a lot like a thing of luck, and only the most luckiest person wins. The only guaranteed way to win a lotto is for you to purchase all the tickets which will not be possible because of the cost.

Someone who can buy all the tickets from a lotto, does not need a lotto or lottery win.

it is indeed a thing of luck. this game is pure luck and not because there's strategy or something to win on this game. no matter how many tickets you have, luck is the ultimate factor in determining your fate on this. but of course, as you said, buying all the tickets, definitely your chances of winning just went up.

on my end, i also did bet on lotto from time to time but only few tickets as sometimes you feel that your numbers may be lucky this time. but so far, i am not. so what i learned from betting on this game is just to use your spare money as you don't know when will luck come to you.

As a lotto bettor winning it is just blind luck. Sports betting and casino games are easier to win than lotto.Considering the majority of jackpot winning tickets are quick picks. I'm assuming the best strategy is to go into any store with $2 and ask them for a quick pic. One ticket is enough for me. I am not going to give my money back to the government by buying more tickets.

Recently our local lottery increased its minimum ticket price doubling it from 0.5€ to 1€ so buying multiple tickets became doubly more expensive in a single day. It's crazy that inflation became a chance to even increase lottery ticket prices...
Even before this development, I would never buy multiple tickets. The chances to win are so astronomically low that spending 0.5€ or 100€ makes not much of a difference. The only occasion I would buy multiple tickets is when I wanted to get tickets for multiple people for fun.

This I believe should depend on the type of lotto one is playing though, over here in my country, lotto are of different types, there are rhe ones where number of tickets one owns doesn't really matter, for when one ticket, you could end up winning the jackpot, it's just like what we on FreeBitco today, on FreeBitco, number of tickets one owns or buys doesn't really matter, as on several occasions, we have seen players with very few number of tickets win the jackpot on the lotto table.

But then, there are still some other type of lotto that where the number of tickets one owns determine their winning chances, this type of lotto is mostly popular with government runned or owned lotto companies, and I do not play such type of lotto anyway, I like to play lotto where I have equal chances wit player with many tickets, even when I only have few tickets.
