I have also accumulated a certain amount of cryptos that, in case of recovering some of the maximum historical prices that were reached in 2017, could make me earn enough money to retire, however I am not satisfied with it, I do not resign myself to passively wait for a stroke of luck to resolve my destiny, and that is why I continue doing daily trading (both in crypto and in Forex) to cover my ordinary financial needs.

Still the same.

Buying if it is worth the risk.
Trading whenever I got the chance to do it with my busy job.

I dont think there should be a stop with these. We are still waiting for the future where crypto currencies will be used as a means of payment. So better to get ready and hoard more that just do nothing and wait.
It also keeps you on track with updates regarding all the news with crypto currencies.
In order to prepare for the unforeseen circumstances, you are right, there is no point stopping investment, since the crypto is designed for the future and we have to wait for whatever project we invested in to become big in future, since there is no project, no matter how strong they look now is guaranteed not to face a rough road, we don’t know any of the one we have that will stand the rough road or the ones that will collapse.

So, this is why we should not stop investing the little we are capable of investing, so that the ratio of failed projects and successful projects will be 50:50. We all need to be a smart investor.

Yes, buying cryptocoins for longterm investment but for potential coins only. We can only see the growth of  coins after few years. Theres some coins that good for short term trades. And theres coins also that has potential for longterm holding. I know some of my friends who holding for 3 years and now they are millionaires. It's a matter of patience.

I was done doing day trading. It was very risky and only gain small profits  With the recent pump and now dump I am decided to do a long term trading now. What I am doing  right now is buying more coins and wait for the pump again.

I do not know where I fit into your options, but what I do is the following: I always buy the price drops and I will continue repeating this cycle for a long time until the day I have many bitcoins. I also do daytrade whenever possible, before I had some altcoins I sold as soon as they had increased in price and I confess that I made a good decision
Thank God for the intervention of bitcoin, if we are to leave investors alone with these altcoins, crypto world might have long gone been forgotten for now, that is why I mostly laugh with people that compares BTC to other coins, to the extent of thinking any coin will replace BTC, it is impossible, if not for BTC, many of them would not even be alive by now.

So, BTC is a coin that is the best for one to keep his long-term investment in, while other are just good for a very short term purpose as the chance of their survival more than 2 years is rare except those that are utility coins and are with very good team.

You have some valid points. Until 6 months back, I had a at least three dozen different altcoins and tokens in my wallets. But now that number is down to around 10. I have converted the rest to BTC or ETH. My patience has run out with the alts. I think it is time to solely concentrate on Bitcoin (+ ETH).
Good choice to get rid of those useless altcoins and choose the top crypto in coinmarketcap. I am still holding my altcoins until now so that if the bull run starts and the price of Bitcoin go up to the sky, then it's time to sell everything while waiting for another price correction to buy back again.

Let's face facts, many of us have been in Crypto for years now.

Aside from the very few instances where you need to send crytocoins and transact immediately.

How many of you are just done buying crypto as an investment?

I mean you purchased enough of multiple coins, that if any hit your intended price target for them in 5 to 10 years,
you be richer than you ever dreamed.

So are you

1. Done buying crypto and just waiting for your ship to come in.
2. Buying forever with no intent to ever sell.
3. Still not purchased enough coins for your ship to come in.
4. Crypto Day Trader buy and sell everyday for small gains
added
5. Buying when extra money around, spending coins when finding stuff to buy via BTC and getting a better price, having a stash that I won't sell till I really feel the need to get out and one that I might sell earlier to cover some big buy (change of house, new car, etc etc).
6. Long Trader: Continuously buying while the prices are calm and just waiting to sell high.

I am in the 1 category, literally no reason to buy any more, don't even care about new cryptos.
If it reaches my price target , I'll be rich, if not, I won't be spending any more money on it.
So Which are You?

Hell no, i am not done buying, cryptocurrency projects usually should be for a long-term investment not the way we see it as short term and just because we dont get pr profit within a year, we give up, i am not done, i will still continue investing in good projects till it answers me.

I think am in the 3rd category, I have a lot of coins and tokens I still need to invest in, but not enough money on me, I buy them little by little while I get the money either monthly or weekly, I also do some day trading and sometimes, If luckily I get a good profit, I invest it in a promising project, maybe I continue like this until my ship comes, then I plan or setting up my own company

I doubt I will ever be done with it, I feel like this is the best type of investment I can make as a small time investor, I do not have much money and putting them on stocks or bank interest or anything that we used to have doesn't make any sense at all.

Even with a hugely positive 20% return a year I wouldn't become rich at all, there is no way my money can worthy anything even with 50% a year, that is only viable for people who already have a decent chunk, I have couple hundred that I can put in every 2-3 months and that's it.

Buying cryptocurrencies allow me to get insane returns time to time, I make good chunk of money to dilute between other cryptocurrencies and than they make it more and it goes on like that forever which after a while I do not even have to put more money from my pocket, just keep making money and put it on other stuff. Invest from your investment profits basically.

I'm done for now but will never stop buying when the right time comes again. (2.) Having no intent to sell means that you don't have any plans of taking profit and enjoying the money you invested.

(3.) There's many reason why an individual haven't purchased enough coins for his stash, it could be a monetary challenge or he's in bad situation for the moment.
Having no intent to sell does not mean that you don't want to take any profit from it. Not everyone invests on crypto currencies to make profit. Some invests on it to use it for different purpose like making online transactions. Again, selling for fiat does not always define your profit. If you buy the coins for cheap and you are still holding it even after the price has increase, then it still means that you have made profit even if you don't sell it for fiat since you were able to get the coins cheap!
If you have read what OP given as an example, 'buying forever without intent to sell'. Yes, although you don't sell and you just hold, there's the profit but you can't define that you made money out of it if you don't cash out / sell.

Holding the cash defines that we made money of it, and if the value of the crypto that you hold has increased its value and we define it as our profit, nothing wrong with that. But for me, as long as you haven't sold it, you can't call it as profit.

From time to time I have some extra money, so I can say that I am not yet done buying crypto.
Everytime there is a good opportunity to buy, I will have to take that opportunity, I am holding a huge portfolio now, and just like
everyone else who failed to sell during the bull run, I need a good timing to unload for profit.

I have invested into many coins in both icos and post icos period!  I created to graftcoin,  bundi,  monkeycoin,  during ico and some of them I have taken profits and I am still holding others.  I am also a seasonal trader and I do invest into some coins that I have information that there are going to go up.  Many cryptocurrencies enthusiasts are really buying bitcoin and others coins and hold for long-term.  Today I still believed that they are many people and investors buying bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies and therefore,  I don't think we are "done buying Cryptocoins"

I am still in the mood of buying and investing, I still think that crypto is a good investment, for long term I already decrease the buying amount but for short term I still search for the right coin to be traded, when you find the right momentum then don't be stand still and watch the opportunities go away

I'm mostly done with buying, but by earning bitcoin through bounties am slowly accumulating. I still think we are well enough off of the market highs to justify some buying, but it's hard to tell exactly when the bull market will return or if we're in it right now.

Well, for me, I still do buy at times. However, since the rate of its gain is not as aggressive as before, I tend to be more and more critical and sensitive with the coins I buy, so that, I wouldn't regret it in the end. I can't afford to buy something and hold it for a long time without any clear objective on how to use it to gain profit or, at least, use it as capital to get other and better coins in the market. I also look at the price point and movement of the coins I buy, if it has promising gains that could lead to gainful ones in a couple of months, I tend to go for that to make a quick flip.

Do you think there is no future or just lost your enthusiasm?

Personally, I set my goals, set my price target, own the coins, I think will succeed.
There is no reason to buy more endlessly.  (In my case anyway.)

It is kind of like building a house, at some point it is built and there is nothing left to do but live in it.
My Portfolio is where it needs to be, if crypto succeeds, then so will my fiat wealth.

I suppose I have lost the fresh enthusiasm, now it is more of a pragmatism in investing,
I consider myself to have more realistic expectations and a long enough time frame, that everything is ready,
just waiting for the years to pass until time to sell.  Smiley
