I opted for the third option as well because it's not right to rely on anyone's opinion while you're the one risking with your own money. I think that it's no surprise that so many people voted for DYOR since those who listen to Elon and buy coins are probably newbies and aren't a big part of the Bitcointalk crypto community.
I don't think that Bitcoin's recovering yet and that another bull run will happen soon, though. That would be unprecedented. Why do you think it's currently recovering if the price is still below $40k?

I had never heard to Elon Musk lol. I had Doge from long ago, I bought @17 sats per Doge probably but sold very early. However, after a few tweets from Elon on Doge, the pump was expected but Doge was overhyped significantly for which I didn’t dare to invest in and thus, no follow to Elon Musk.
If we follow him, the price of crypto will be more volatile, risky to invest. Better we don't listen him.

Elon Musk has been making too much noise lately and everyone is getting mad at what he's doing. He's been the talk of the town for so long but now, everyone's tired of listening to what he's saying. It is much likely that Dogecoin would be affected with this occurence since Elon Musk's tweet are centralized on advertising it so if ever people would stop bothering with his FUDs about crypto and in dogecoin, we will surely see it crashing down continuously. In my experience, I never bothered to listen to what he is saying.
After checking his Twitter account, I'm sure many people will still follow his tweet, considering the financial asset he has. He will surely attract many people and prominent investor for his benefits.
I never follow any people tips/strategies because it's too risky for me. I do my own research and get some insight before I do invest.
for newbies that dont bother listening to others advice like us , they will continue doing what they think is right .
its not bad fo follow other peoples advice if you think he is reliable enough to follow but not the people like elon that is only here playing at the crypto market but it would be a lot better if you can do a final research in your own after getting info somewhere .

The issue is probably how often have you already heard Musk's words? If you are used to it and you observe the effects, I think it will decrease by a lot over time.

He's interesting and entertaining; maybe we can say that his view on crypto is not that serious.
He's smart with wide connections, and also a businessman. I think he wants to immerse himself in the trend, just like most influencers obsessed with NFT. One tweet from him is, "whoever controls the memes controls the universe." I think he's into the mainstream media and wants to catch up on everything.

He knows that he has the power to cause pump or  dump in crypto market and he already proven it. The community should learn to stop getting affected or emotional on his every tweet. He was like mcafee version 2.0 way back 2017 to 2018.
Considering that he is a billionaire and bitcoin is considered a financial asset, no wonder he's influential in that case.
We can get insights from him, but we should not rely on it. A business person can be manipulative, which I guess is normal?
Getting people to do actions for them is one of their goals.

why listen to elon musk's bullshit we need to know he is not a god for bitcoin he is just a rich investor who just wants to make big profits for himself and we never know what his real goal is today in cryptocurrency so now its better for us continue to invest in our own beliefs without following FOMO.

I assume that so many people are really done listening to him already. He manipulated the price again recently. I wonder when he is going to stop this nonsense. He is just toying the market and investors are really angry with him.

So now that bitcoin is recovering well from it's drop we can expect a bull run again.
We all know how Elon pumped and then dumped the market through his influential tweets.
This what happens when people listen to others blindly and invest.
DYOR (Do Your Own Research) is the approach that everyone should follow.
Don't panic sell. There will be many such waves and many such influential people who might try to manipulate the market again.
HODL has always proved to be strong.

Why this thread ? - It's more like a wake up call to newbies and all those who blindly follow others.

P.S : I voted for 3rd option
I never give a damn listening to any of What Elon Musk said, i don't even check His tweeter account , its just happen that there are many stupid people here in forum that continuously
sending and sharing His words inside but if i will to decide?
i will surely banned everything that elon says, so with that The market and the community will not be alarmed nor affected from what he will deliver.
because it is an obvious money making strategy on his part to make fun this whole market.

The market seems to be recovering after all this Musk cheap manipulations as prices were rising with normal speed struggling to rise and fight with FUD and whales but now he is again peeping his nose with his new tweets and his influence is so high at this time that even if we ignore him many investors are still listening to him inspite of all this crash situation in the market. His latest meme tweet shows Bitcoin with heart broken emoticon which again resulted in 3-4% price fall for btc.

He is once again trying to do the same manipulation in order to pump Dogecoin with his silly tactics.I personally listen to him that what kind of cheap tricks he is playing to get high profits even after gaining all wealth and that much status.Market don't need to react to his words but most often reverse happens.

Read here what he is doing : Musk new tweets

At first place, I didn't listen to him anyway. I'm just sticking to my plans and will not listen to influencers like him.
I've seen McAfee shilling some ICO's back in the past and I ignored. We saw Elon Shit doing some manipulative things by just tweeting optimistic posts about Bitcoin and many followed him Cheesy.

I hope that those newbies who followed him and lost their money learned from this mistake that they've made. Blindly following others without having your own strategy is a deadly strategy Smiley. Make your own strategy, hodl if you want too and DYOR like many others are saying.

I've seen many comments in twitter begging to Elon to pump the market because its obvious that they lose their money. I can't feel sorry for them for what they've done because for me, it is a lesson for them.

I don't want to listen to Elon. I think Elon is very inconsistent. A few months ago he seemed very supportive of bitcoin. But this week, he just didn't support it. This made the bitcoin market crash because of Elon. So I don't think we need to listen to him.

There is no reason to keep listen and read his tweets in regards to crypto. We're done anyway and now he is talking nonsense.

And every time I heard about Elon Musk, I can't stop myself to think that he will fool people again. I just hope that people have to open their minds and see what really he does to crypto, to the community, and so they could understand what he did in the past days.

I don't even think that it is even worth the wait for that. I would expect that a lot of people would cover up for him especially that even Musk claimed that Bitcoin mining is bad for the environment.
Now that as of writing this, just 10 hours after my recent comment in here, he is now memeing out of breaking up with Bitcoin.

Elon is alot of things but DUMB is NOT one of them. If Elon is throwing shade on Bitcoin it's because a shift is coming. Elon made his fortune pinpointing shifts. You can follow the deductions of the richest person ON THIS PLANET or the insight of the 7,637,3367,601 richest person on the planet. There is something to be said about a track record

So what is your point? You don't get it, Elon Musk doesn't care much about Bitcoin or even doge coin. He only care about his crypto bag and wants them to get pumped and dumped whenever he wants so he can do whatever pleases him. If you also think there's a shift coming for Bitcoin to get dethroned as number 1 crypto, I would suggest you read up about past flippening events that have happened in the past. I'm sure a lot of people would try to denyit but bitcoin is the most decentralized crypto and it's a really good store of value.

Going to have to stop you there. Elon gives little to nothing about his "crypto bags" . What he has invested in crypto is the equivalent to an ordinary persons change they find in their  couch cushions. Elon is not interested in crypto for an investment . He is the RICHEST human on planet EARTH. He could lose his entire crypto portfolio and laugh about it. He is in crypto for the innovation and freedom it promises. To even insinuate he is mentioning things or "pumping" for profit is laughable.

Since day 1, I didn't believe on Elon Musk although I made his hype or trend profitable for me.

But that doesn't mean that I rely on him, due to my observation and by studying the market, he is really an effective trendmaker in the market.

For those newbies who want their investment profitable, try to understand and explore cryptocurrency by yourself and avoid joining the hype because it might make you lose more money.

Just remember this, this market works on cycle, if it in the last bull run we have people like John McAfee who try to influence and move the price, they become irrelevant very quick. And I think this is going to happen to Elon, although he still have some fall back because he has Tesla, but for sure, he will be forgotten. He is big enough to be a single crypto influencer. If he is not dumb, then bitcoin investors are smart.
