To be honest, his influence can be useful for someone who trades because they can use it to their advantage. I still follow him on Twitter just to see the possible thing that may happen in the market next time but I am no sycophant who follows everything Elon says, I just want to be updated in a possible trend.
For traders but to be honest if you can't timing the time he barks from his Twitter it could wet some pants for some traders who has position especially on leverage trades. We can't decide who to follow but  I think it's the right decision to make to just unfollow him for some cryptocurrency tweet purposes.

The guy just tweeted this day and the market reacts again but I guess it's substantially dropping and I hope this will be consistent from now on.

people shouldn't have listened to him in the first place. the dude is a businessman, almost everything he does has an ulterior motive that would benefit only him or his company. it is just sad that there are people who only relied on what he is saying and base their actions on that. this kind of thing will continue to happen as long as there are people who blindly follow influential people.

Elon is alot of things but DUMB is NOT one of them. If Elon is throwing shade on Bitcoin it's because a shift is coming. Elon made his fortune pinpointing shifts. You can follow the deductions of the richest person ON THIS PLANET or the insight of the 7,637,3367,601 richest person on the planet. There is something to be said about a track record

So what is your point? You don't get it, Elon Musk doesn't care much about Bitcoin or even doge coin. He only care about his crypto bag and wants them to get pumped and dumped whenever he wants so he can do whatever pleases him. If you also think there's a shift coming for Bitcoin to get dethroned as number 1 crypto, I would suggest you read up about past flippening events that have happened in the past. I'm sure a lot of people would try to denyit but bitcoin is the most decentralized crypto and it's a really good store of value.

Elon is literally trolling or just pumping Dogecoins price in his recent tweet like saying he is working with the Doge Devs that don't even exist in the first place. In the past few months, I'm sure his post, tweets have an effect on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency price, but for now, many people are ignoring him, his reputation in crypto suddenly plummets because of his bitcoin energy attack.

So now that bitcoin is recovering well from it's drop we can expect a bull run again.
We all know how Elon pumped and then dumped the market through his influential tweets.
This what happens when people listen to others blindly and invest.
DYOR (Do Your Own Research) is the approach that everyone should follow.
Don't panic sell. There will be many such waves and many such influential people who might try to manipulate the market again.
HODL has always proved to be strong.

Why this thread ? - It's more like a wake up call to newbies and all those who blindly follow others.

P.S : I voted for 3rd option
So glad that you put the third option there, however I am surprised that no has selected the first option which is they had to learn the hard way, we know there were many people following everything he said and there were even bots that were developed to invest in the market based on his tweets, it seems to me some people are in denial about what happened and this is dangerous as it may happen again once another charismatic institutional investor comes and they follow him blindly once again.

I believe I'm done already and I don't have time to listen to him neither.
Maybe it was time to ignore Elon until such a time that he stays away from crypto. because until now, he is pushing himself to be a part of this crypto community but too unfortunate that no one will ever accept/believe his words.

His time in crypto has done fast, he will find himself to the other place where he is very welcome, not in crypto anymore.

He literally destroyed the prices of cryptocurrencies and it was a really big manipulation. So, I'm really angry with him. And please Elon, stop this nonsense. You are just harming the market.

From the beginning, I never listen to what Elon said and what he tweeted.I am really not interested in him because he only uses his popularity and also power to ridicule the crypto market. Moreover when he tweeted about DOGE and BTC. It really gave a very significant influence on DOGE that could jump thousands percentage. And now, listening to him is very risky moreover if we are new in crypto.

Well really funny how the results of the recent dump is directly inverse to what the poll says at the top. I myself have seen these Elon Musk posts and for a while I am kind of in support to what he says because of course it is bitcoin we are talking about, but as soon as he pulls a fast one I started seeing him in a different light as a crypto influencer, mind you, and not as a person because at the end of the day we cannot deny that what he does in the name of scientific progress is still something to be thankful for.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain why Elon would dump the market with his company (tesla) holding $1.5 billion in BTC.

Was Elon's master plan to lose around $700 million. Due to holding BTC as it fell?

Almost all of Elon Musk's net worth is tied up in the stock of businesses he own.

He doesn't have the high liquidity and trading volume needed to significant move market prices.

He wont achieve that title for nothing but you cant stop people on not to hate him and in all the things he tweed or things he got involved into which
it did result into criticism instead rather that appreciation. We know that he wont really care on what other people do view of him.
The thing he had secured out is his profit. Its true that these fella could really make out some swing which can really affect market.
Asking if im done with Elon? Cant answer since i never tend to believe on the first place.
^ Just because the point is he is making money on BTC, he is an entrepreneur and a businessman, no wonder for him that his mindset is always for the money no matter what we are thinking for him, just because of the money. I know before that Elon Musk is something like manipulating the market it is obvious what he tweeted on social media. For me, always do your own research and don't listen to him, he is nothing on BTC, he even don't have a contribution on it, her triggered a lot of FUD to make BTC dump.

I think the market automatically becomes a judge, most panic sellers, -sold at bear, sold out of fear, sold because of influence- will become Panic buyers -buy at bull, buy out of excitement of the bull, buy become is seems to be invoke- I think an experience of this better explains to newbies to hold and not selling in panic just to follow it up bull market time later.
I have heard many people some in a conversation and every time it's exciting knowledge I get from them, such people -and we have them in the forum- to me may have more knowledge than Elon musk but Elon musk is only popular.

Elon is a famous person so don't expect anything less from people following and listening to him, for someone in his position he must have a lot of connections and inside information and some people think he could be getting some inside info, reason why they pay attention,  can't deny many people made money on dogecoin.

Elon musk have really done bad to cryptocurrency he really manipulated the market. He pumped bitcoin which other altcoins also pumped and later dumped bitcoin again now I believe must people will stop listening to what he say because he has done bad to cryptocurrency and we don't want price manipulation again he should just leave our cryptocurrency the way it was before when things where really going fine. I believe now bitcoin price is recovering gradually and I will advise everyone to just hold there coin because I believe it is going to recover and still pump.

3rd option for me as well, OP.

I am not a celebrity-driven holder. There are others here that are the same that I mentioned as well.
I was just aware of the news about Tesla allowing and pulling out Bitcoin payments as well as Elon Musk hyping the coin, but I did not really care. I am just frustrated that there were many weak holders after Musk said "something" about Bitcoin being bad for the environment.

I think the bitcoin community has herd immunity to Elon & China FUD now. Bitcoin goes on, blocks are mined every 10-20 minutes with or without their blessings. Ignore their noise & focus on the big picture.

'Once bitten twice shy' but unfortunately this does not apply to some people,  they enjoy being led by the nose,  so it will surprise you to see so many haven't learnt their lesson yet, they want to be completely rekt before learning or should I say they would rather learn from the hard way before they get it,

Even Elon will put a disclaimer on his tweet  Cheesy   do at your own risk, lol, whales knows how to make their money.
