Are you going to pay taxes on your Bitcoin profits?

Suppose you make a million dollars. Suppose you have already made a million dollars. Are you going to hand half of that cash over to the government? Of course, this is assuming you convert your coins into federally recognized cash. If your only intention is to amass a huge supply of Bitcoins, the question does not apply to you.

You're supposed to pay income taxes. It seems rather easy to get away with not doing it, though... at least in this case.

i will pay tax for the money i earn, the government need money to support the financial aid of the country and i am willing to support it even most or some of the officials are corrupt. i am not doing this for them, but for my mother land that i want to see in the future at its best. i dont want to see my country to stop on developing and making project for the better future.

If the government said that I should pay tax, yes, I will but not the half of what I earn maybe 20% of it. I'm more than happy to pay tax if the taxes that we pay will go to infrastructures ir other government project not on the bank accounts of corrupt politician. That's as long as the transaction doesn't concern any real life goods. Try buying a house or a car and you'll see how fast the authorities come knocking on your door.
Bitcoin isn't anonymous! It's one of the most common wrong assumptions that people have.
You can be anonymous if you mine the coins and trade them for altcoins or cash. If you bought the coins from someone on an exchange the anonymity is no longer there.Reliability and security is one of the main advantages of bitcoin. Therefore, I would advise conducting as many operations as possible through blockchain, in bitcoins. To avoid paying taxes for cashing out.
If it is necessary I would just abide the given law just so they won't ban bitcoin here in our country. Taxes will still be subdivided for the needs of the country and I would be very proud to contribute my earnings. On the other hand, I wish that they will ask for a justifiable tax for I am doing all the hard work just to earn money through bitcoin. I believe that it is still their right to ask for it but the government must make is more reasonable and justifiable.if everything will be taxable including bitcoin then we should work harder for it, then half of that will be given to the government for them to use it for their own good. haha. better not pay my tax in bitcoin if ever.

It is good to be paying tax because that is one of the way government generate revenue which they use in providing infrastructure for it's citizens

Definitely yes, but i hope this will comes as a yearly computation and not just our profit to be calculated, because as we all know that there's no 100% win on this and sometimes we lose some of our assets. why it needs to be a yearly taxation? We are not all day traders and we work on campaigns for months, after that we hold for the token as we seek for the best value out of it.

Do "capital gains" add to your total income for the purpose of determining your tax bracket or are they taxed at the rate of your income-only tax bracket?

Do you pay taxes on gambling income? If you loose money on cryptos, will you receive a tax rebate? If yes to the first two I'll pay.

Ofcourse I'll pay taxes, I didn't have to work for this money it was just easy money gathering. I feel responsible and think wealth should be shared. I will try to limit the amount tho, not planning on paying the full pot.

I don't think I will. Why should I pay taxes on my own money? Bitcoin is free and centralized.

Whether i declare my profits with bitcoin or not almost all goods in our country have taxes already. From bottled water to services, from basic necessities to luxuries all are taxable. I have already paid my dues with our government.

From the beggining of my life when Im giving birth I'll pay taxes already, the foods, garments, toys or what kind of thing that's have a value are all with taxes. But for bitcoin if they going to implement in my country I don't have a choice because bitcoin is more and more popular nowadays. But I musr suggest that they lessen the taxes in bitcoin so that many people are not suffering in taxes.

I am going to pay taxes if I will get some profit, because "safety first" is my motto. I am weak insignificant human being, how will I fight against those fascists who are robbing us? I shall share my profit to calm them down, to dont lose all I have. Life is cruel, being against the power is dead end
Better fund anti-govt fighters with your Bitcoins than paying taxes to the unelected oligarchs!
Many young people now are so financially depressed and desperate, as well as blame govt in their problems, so they are ready to make some damage to the govt institutions if get paid few bitcoins, even bitcents!

These taxes are actually being utilised by the government for the public welfare
After Great Recession (2008) and "austerity measures" people in many developed countries forgot what does welfare means!

Yes i will. Its the responsibility of each and every member of the country to pay taxes and should not run away. These taxes are actually being utilised by the government for the public welfare that means for us and we must be loyal to our government in paying taxes. If our government don't have sufficient fund than it may face serious hurdles in maintaining public welfare which will indirectly affect us.

I am going to be paying taxes on what I cash out.  However, I'm attempting to cash as little out as possible.  So far I haven't cashed out any.

If I'd earn 1 Million dollars with my bitcoins I'd move to a country where I don't have to pay taxes - as simple as that! Cheesy

If the payoff is a profitable amount of money, I'm going to pay the tax, but there's no provision for it now.
