I did the same but I did stop myself since I don't want to be addicted my whole life in gambling. Another thing is that I don't usually gamble using my crypto since fiat don't have a probability to give you a profit, crypto can do that whether it is a short term or a long term as long as you know whay you are doing.

I gambled with fiat when I was in my late 20's, its my dad who introduced me to traditional casinos but he also thought me how to control how much I spend inside the casinos. When I started working and always in front of a computer, thats where I discovered playing online casinos but I don't use fiat, just cryptos like BTC, ETH and BCH. I love the idea of being able to play without stepping outside my room. No need to travel and remain anonymous.

I may have heard about this steemit, the name sounds very familiar and I hope it’s not the same site that got many gamblers frustrated at some point when it crashed lol. Who is long into gambling was it fun or little more, started with fiat. Latter if they see it can be profitable are into crypto bets. Think this is matter of principal for each individual that gable was is sport or card game or slots. In last few years we have expansion of crypto gambling games in all fields. From this it only remains that in the end person who place bet will decide what will he invest fiat or crypto.

It is not really long crypto gambling started And there are still some of us that still prefer fiat to crypto gambling, maybe because I am naïve though because I have never played with cryptocurrency. I don’t even think there should be an argument on what gamblers started to gamble with, definitely they all started by using fiat. Fiat gambling has been on since the invention of gambling, crypto started just few years back even though the rate of adoption is very high, because the users all claim its easier and more affordable.

The good thing in using crypto instead of fiat is that we can manage to hide our self from the community and keeping safe from any fraud. But the risk of losing our funds due to phishing sites will it something a factor that a gambler might be worried about.

You should actually also check out sports betting for crypto, did you know that the odds are a way lot better using crypto than using fiat? I have seen this in almost every bet I took (Except for promotional ones which are of course not countable).

Oh and about IP block, just use VPNs, that is fine.

Which site do you recommend? Because I only gamble with cryptos in casinos online, and I don't knoe a trustable site to sports bet with crypto

The odds of betting with cryptos are pretty good but I will advise you not to follow the act of using VPNs to avoid your account been lock cause some online sportsbook don't support VPN.

I think those who began betting early must have experienced betting with fiat currencies. I began betting with my local currency as i went to betting houses, played virtual games(soccer,horse race etc). I most times came out on top, but I tend to always lose the money the same way it came Grin

But since I got into the cryptocurrency "business" i can't remember when last i placed a bet using fiat, it's more convenient for me using cryptocurrencies, mostly i use BTC, though i take some sticks for risking my btc most of the time Sad

If you mean gambling with fiat online, then it's a no for me. I have never tried it.
The protocol is too much and its way too risky, I can't afford risking my credit card.
But for offline, I have done it several times. It's simple easier handling out the money in hand without no trace. Now it's even more easier to gambling with cryptocurrency.

Kinda reverse of OP's, I started with crypto. I started doing tasks years ago and got paid tokens and stuff and started trying out these online casinos (never too long to get a return on the money). It's just much easier, especially if the money feels "free".

On the other-hand, using fiat is much of a hassle, with all the bank transfers, etc. And if you use credit card, you can end up using much of your limit.

Well, since I am 51 years old, I naturally stated playing with fiat, both online and in the meat space. Unfortunately, I got my ass handed to me by online casinos back in the year 2000. It was nice to play my favorite game, blackjack, from the comfort of my home without having to drive or fly anywhere. It was a bit too convenient. Cheesy

Furthermore, most blackjack games offered online play like it is a shuffled deck after each hand. Therefore my card counting skills where worthless.
Lately, I have stuck to only buying lottery tickets, here and there, in the meat world. I also play at online casinos a few times a year with BTC. However, my bankroll only consists of .01 BTC. Very recently, I have been playing at Bitvest. I have invested a very small amount and do their daily quests. I mostly play with the tokens on their daily quests unless one of the tasks is to bet BTC. However, they usually only require that you bet less than 20 K sats.

I started playing with cash just the way you did but right now I do play with cryptocurrency and still do play with fiat from time to time my country has no restrictions against gambling.
fiat is mostly used in my country than the use of cryptocurrency

I guess you just have to use VPNs if you really want to play gambling online although it is not advisable if your country is really strict in casino online. Better stick to your local casino and play by the rule so that you won't have a problem, unfortunately, there's no crypto involve there since you were in a local casino.

I believe majority of us here in crypto stated betting using fiat because cryptocurrency gambling started I guess almost 10 years ago after bitcoin was created (though bitcoin wasn’t the first cryptocurrency created)

That is, indeed, true. Since fiat is already here since we were born and crypto is just new, then we surely gamble with fiat first. And even now that crypto is already here, I still gamble with fiat occasionally with friends or whenever I feel like it, especially when I have the money. I haven't tried to gamble with crypto yet for I don't have enough of it. I'm still earning and I cannot afford to lose my crypto. At least, not now.

I guess what OP mean here is about online gaming Mate because if this is about traditional gambling then that would be very impossible to start in crypto.so maybe in some countries in which Crypto was first introduced ,there might be a chance that they first gamble in crypto but on some countries like us Asian then thingsre very few to happen,in a friend that introduced crypto to me started/learned crypto just 5 years ago so chances are we learned so late then them

Had to leave and until now, am still wondering if that was a crypto site because the objective of cryptocurrency to me has been forfeited.

Seems like when I use cryptocurrencies to play gambling is make me comfortable to play instead when I played gambling and come to gambling place. But that the both place have an adventage and disadventage IMHO. When I play through crypto I can't make myself keep anynomously and there is no anyone will know about me. But I played with fiat and come to gambling place I always hide myself to anyone who know me. As for the adventage to play gambling with money fiat I can keep my self to avoid a huge lose because I can hold my money on my hand but with cryptocurrencies I really hard to quite my bet although I found a huge loses.
