It's different and the point should be on the product. In 2017, so many people were betting on the speculation on the future of platform while in this year investors are focusing into the product.

they see that product is a key and roadmap is something that can be changed anytime.

That means the ico bubble is not the same with defi bubble.

Bitcoins and alt coins prices are still rising, I wouldn't call it a "downtrend" at the moment. Personally you could call me a sleeper, because I am just holding my coins. Not looking to sell at the moment. If I get lucky when gambling I am adding to my holdings, but sell FIAT for cryptos is a bit hard for me at the moment as the economy is such a weak state. I wish I had more pocket change to invest. I am doing the same for my stock portfolio, just holding and forgeting about them at the moment.

When the market was booming, we wake up looking for opportunities, to make some profit. When the market in a downtrend, we back to "sleeping". There is clearly something amiss here as I think opportunities available at every time, just a bit harder to see in the bad "downtrend" time.

I guess this thread should be started when the bottom of bear season occurred. I guess you are still sleeping also as you decided to invest only or create this thread upon seeing that the market is starting to move upward .

A wise investor and a crypto believer will wait for their best chance buy buying their assets at the bottom and sell it at the peak. The timing is somewhat very difficult but a true investors can easily pull this move if he has patient and he believe the potential of crypto currencies.

No , I mean I have put my funds into some categories project. a pieces of funds I put on defi project. Then also I put on Idena project . Because Idena has unique concept that introduce Proof-Of-Person Blockchain.

IDENA was good project in my opinion , they bring new concept of mining. i am read to get idena , we didnt need high specification computer . we only need good internet connection,beside of that it will be smart contract platform too. even this is not Defi project, but look at their plan in future i i am sure it will be big project.

Because many of us are here for the long run. I haven't sold almost anything in 2018 and still hold coins bought in 2017. I've even managed to increase my portfolio in the bear market of 2018 and 2019.

Scared cats call it speculative trading but for strong hand holders it's still investing.

In the cryptocurrency sector, there is always a fear of getting left behind. And if you fall in to this trap, then there is a good chance that you will lose your capital. Back in 2017, it was the ICO hype. Then two years later, the IEOs appeared. The latest craze (regarding the DeFi) is the third such incident. I would recommend you to stay away from this, until the picture becomes clear.

I learned this in a very sad way. Ive been new here, i was one of those people who missed out on 2017. And still missed a few earlier last month. Ive been looking at this coin for the longest time and still somehow managed to not invest on it. Regrets.

Some will eventually miss out because there will always be newcomers in crypto space, there will always be those who will buy at ATH too, The most profitable crypto investment strategy is buying coins at low price and selling high, right now I think it's twice as risky to invest in any altcoin, I'm quit confidence on Bitcoin only
