Distribution is something that can be done nothing about right now. The first phase for it was TEC, that ended, the next one will be when the main net launches. Until then the distribution won't change.
By the way, with 1724 participans the initial distribution is far from bad, I would say well above avarage for similar projects.

I dont think a signature bounty is going to do the trick. I think to get the job done we need a better distribution, and more vocal supporters. I have been a holder for a while and only now decided to speak my mind but im sure I have a good understanding of what's needed. The question is: How do we get more ARK coin holders.

So maybe a increase in signature bounty for the people that supported this project from week 1?

No we are not planning on it. ARK as a project has no intentions of getting involve with Lisk affairs (other then normal partnership between similar projects), and while the ARK team members as individuals are part of the lisk community and many of them delegates, we are not planning to use those funds for ARK.

I disagree there are many incentives to stay in. For one Lisk refunds really don't make sense. The avarage median price of the TECs duration is above 0.00022, that is much better than the current lisk price, and that's beside the additional Lisk bonuses. Simply put the ARK most people will get for their Lisk in ARK worth much more than the same amount of lisk currently does on the open market.

Even besides that there are other reasons to stay in. It's up to individuals to assess the risk/reward ratio, but this may very well be the cheapest opportunity to buy ARK. I know everyone always says that, but in this case it's more probable than in most others.
It's always possible to the price to crash after ARK gets to exchanges, but as it will have a low initial market cap it is much less likely than with other overbought projects. Every project that's price crashed hard after launch had either been a very big ICO success or other reasons contributed, like huge bounties. We were very carful to assign reasonable bonuties, so there will probably be much less effect from the bounty dumping crowed than with other projects.

Simply put, a large part of a team is experienced crpyto people with years in the sence and seen and participated in many ICOs, so we made our best effort to don't make mistakes seen in the past.
Of course there are always new mistakes to be made, so nothing is guranteed. Again, it will be up to individuals to decide to ask for refund or not.

If there are too much refund requests then we must have done something seriously wrong. Because if nothing else from an traders point of view it's worth the moderate risk of leaving funds where they are just so the project can have a succesful start and by that giving them the opportunity to see a new coin hit the exchanges.

There are many people and many motivations in crpyto scene, we'll see how things develop.

Will you all run a delegate for lisk forging, to help support this project? If so, when will it be up and running, so I can vote for it...?

The team not having enough funding from the ICO is exactly what I'm worried about. At the moment there is no real incentive for existing investors not to take a refund as the plan is for the refunded tokens to go back to the developers. What if a few whales leave, does the house of cards collapse? Is there any way to see the investments to date.... I mean are most of the transfers large ones or have we safety in numbers with a high number of distributed transfers and early adopters?

what would you rather have, a few extra coins or the ability for the team to actually get enough funding to do the things that will make the coin go up in value?

If we did give everyone a couple extra coins (of which the whale would end up getting the most of anyways), and let's say a year down the road don't have any more funding, are you ok with holding worthless coins when there's no more money to pay the developers that we hire?  Or do you want at that time, we hold a second fundraising event that gives us the ability to develop for a few more years?


I'd choose #2.

Because distribution requires a main net. However it's not responsible behavior to launch the main net without making sure that the code is ready and stable, the ARK network is functional and usable. We are well on the way. Main net is coming, and while we can't (won't) give exact date for it, it may very well be much sooner than feburary. But this is a decision based on development progress, not PR.

waiting for the announcement of the video winners, why is the rest of ARK not distributed to TEC participants? it would give an extra reason for them not to ask a refund IMO, just my opinion though

there is no exact date dude.  we can't give it out until there is a coin to give out and we're not Wizards, we can't just predict the future. 

If you need a date, 1 February.  But can be any day before that also.

Maybe the team has to give aparticular date for the release. I know there are a lot of people will be asking even before you told us it will be distributed after the mainnet, its th exact date that they may be wanting to learn.

Good thing radical life extension technology is pretty close at hand, since Ark is a never-ending story...

Our official date is 1 February, but this is a conservative date and things are looking good for an earlier release possibly in January.
