Hello everyone!

This is my first post on this forum. My friend informed me about the existence of this forum. Despite the fact that he was not using it at the time, He didn't come to assist with his knowledge of this forum! Is there anything more I should know before participating in the postings on this forum? I came across this topic when going through the home page. I expected some advice for newcomers, but I didn't find anything relevant. Rules, restrictions, and so forth. Is there anyone accessible who can provide me with a link to a crucial post that I need to know about? It will be an honor to learn from someone who has been a member of this community for a long time.

Thanks
Hello, Op welcomes to our community and if you want to learn then you are in the right place. As this is a open forum you are free to share your knowledge and gathered more knowledge about bitcoins. Cause like not the other newcomers that after they post a single post they will leave and not comeback again.
In additional what they gave you above here's a topic that you need to read, and This topic created by our forum mate Ratimov.

You are welcome to the forum and I believe you won't regret joining the forum if you don't go against any forum rules, I believe Bitcointalk is the best place where you can learn different things about cryptocurrency for free. Before you post anything on the forum I will advice you to go through the forum rules and regulations first to understand the forum. Make sure you don't plagiarize whenever you are posting in the forum and if you get any useful information which you will like to share always make sure you add your source Link and always make sure you qoute the post.

There are so many things to  know about this forum, and those rules and regulations are what will keep you in this forum, the moment those rules are violated, then elimination is the consequencies.

As a beginner, one must be able to research, read and learn some strategies to use in trading and other things in the forum. You must be able to read people's posts, and make quality posts that can attract merits.

It's really complicated for me, but I will try my best to get the whole thing on my mind. Thanks for the links.
Personallly, it just serve as a barometer to measure how legitimate that person is when it comes to transactions that involves money, products, or services that they have offered or had an involvement in the past.

And If there's one thing that you should remember, it's to consider all of those green trusts with a "grain of salt". Because in the past, there are members who took advantage of the trust system just to exploit other people financially  Undecided

Don't worry too much about this. There are hero/legendary members who still doesn't know how the trut system works and didn't customise their trust lists although they have been here for years.
It's good to ask questions and ask assistance and am sure many members will be happy to help. But, almost every thing you've asked about have been answerd in other topics. So, whenever there is something you don't understand and want to ask about, start by using the forum search feature or take a look at this thread:

First of all I would like to welcome you on this forum which is free library for all to learn and enhance their knowledge with community engagement. You can post your thoughts related to bitcoin and have discussion with members to increase your knowledge but remember whatever you do it must not to be off topic and it should be to the point and if you want to have some general conversations then do them here

As you said about account buy/sell then it's allowed as per rules but it is not recommended at all and your account PM would be paraded by scammers. You just have registered on the forum and have gone through rules which is good but some things are which you will learn with time and your dedication. The best is to take this as discussion forum not marketplace and just post whatever you want to from your account. Then you will feel good and then a newbie would be having enough qualitative knowledge to automatically rank up and help others.

You are also giving reply to each one seperately which is making it look like consecutive posting so avoid it any cost and you can reply more than one person in single post. Here is helpful guide for you which i created few time back to help members to post on forum more effectively:

Posting techniques for newbies on the forum

Rest spend some time exploring the forum and you might get some answers with it and there is abundance of useful resources but you only need to look for them.Specify your goals and then only you can survive long on forum.

The Merits and Ranks are explained in threads such as this one, this one and this one. There are plenty more threads on the matter, but these should kick-start its understanding.

On the matter of Trust, in simple terms, its core intent is to allow you to judge whether you should interact with a given profile in anything resembling a commercial transaction. Often though, it does not reflect just that, and you should read the feedback on people's profiles to get a general idea from the readings (if need be).

It gets more complicated than that really, with a ramification of implications, but honestly I wouldn’t give it more than a superficial look to begin with. There are some threads that lay it out in a more in-depth manner, such as this one.

Note: After some time, you’ll be able to see that the 8 or so positive Trusts I have are conceptually wrong, as they are not commerce related feedbacks in nature. But then again, so are many of the feedbacks left on the forum.

There on the left side it shows my status like, "I'm a newbie" and "I have 0 merit, 1 activity, 2 posts." But what does "1 coin" mean? I see in your profile 5 coin Icon and one of them half blue..

Thanks in advance from me.

Read this: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?)

OP don't make multiple posts consecutively. It's against the forum rules

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

Thanks again, From next I will never do this. After reading your given last resource I'm really very much interested to see them whom are green and purple donator..really in this forum they are available ? I wish I will see one of them very soon Roll Eyes

Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ

Merits and Rank requirements
You are free to  explore the forum and read topics that interest you.
In rule number 18, having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed.

Is there anyone who wants to buy an account from where they can buy it?

Is there a market for that in this forum?
Why buy an account? You already bait for scammers. Anyone who pms you that they sell Bitcointalk accounts are likely to be scammers.
Thanks for your kind reply ! I think I will ignore them and hoping there will be option for block them or report them.

Not the best of topics to turn your interest to really…

Despite it being allowed, chances are that, if you get discovered, you’ll end-up getting red tagged (i.e. negative Trust), scammed I (i.e. paying for something that is not delivered), scammed II (i.e. paying for a tainted account, with plagiarism in some historical post that could resurface and get the account banned), and so forth.

Thanks, I think I got it.

And as you mentioned, negative trust: where is it shown? I visited your profile and there are 8 trust points. It looks like you're good. But I'm going to read about the trust article. Can I ask you to simply say it? and "Merit" means what ?

Thanks in advance from me.
